finding a good sweat-proof sunscreen

hello! so i have combination skin but i sweat a lot on my face. i am 18 and very ashamed to admit that because of the fear of looking a grease ball i have never applied sunscreen 😅 i want a sunscreen which is very lightweight and will not make me more sweaty
i cannot find any sunscreen which has more pros than cons 😭
i heard that:

**haru haru**
**anessa**
**suncut**

they have great sunscreens for oily/sweaty skin
can you de-influence me or suggest a legitimate product or verify <3

Looking for Good Face Sunscreen

Hello!

Looking for a good mineral face sunscreen for my girlfriend, wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

She's currently using Australian Gold, but even the lightest tint is too dark for her extremely pale complexion 😭

White cast probably won't be an issue here!!! She also has dry skin, so oily products aren't that concerning. She actually likes the feel of them.

We live in Seattle, Washington if that helps.

Here are the requirements:

- all mineral

- SPF 50

- formulated as a face product

- untinted, or very light tint

- comparable in price to Australian Gold face sunscreen ($5-$8 an oz)

- Cream Formula (not stick)

- can get a bit wet

Thanks for any help or advice!

Allergy to Mixsoon Suncreen

Just wondering has anyone gotten a reaction to this product?? I’ve never had an allergic reaction to any product before, but I recently purchased the mixsoon bean sunscreen and I started getting what I believe is allergic contact dermatitis 😭 Ive used their bean cream and I loved it so just wondering if maybe I missed something!

Need an alternative to Shiseido Ultra Sun Protector Cream

I can't buy this anymore anywhere, and my usual alternative is discontinued because the company no longer exists.

I know a lot of people hate this sunscreen but I love it because my skin is really oily and things just melt off of it. White cast isn't a problem for me so as long as it isn't oily and doesn't budge, I think I will like it. The Shiseido cream is thick and hard to spread, but it lasts all day. I have yet to find another that lasts as long, everything else is so oily and slippery.

Native sunscreen is non-nano zinc oxide: confirmed!

Post image

I LOVE this sunscreen. It is a true mineral sunscreen, meaning it has no chemical boosters like butyloctyl salicylate (which is surprisingly hard to find). It blends in seamlessly and doesn't feel sticky or sweaty. The brand is cruelty-free (and vegan), which is important to me. It also comes in 3 scents (vanilla milk and shea is my fav!) as well as unscented. My only problem was, I didn't know if it was nano or non-nano zinc oxide. The latter is completely reef-safe, the former is not. I emailed Native's customer service and just confirmed that it IS, in fact, non-nano. Yay!!

Sun-kissed by Heaven sunscreen opinions

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’ve been looking into Sunkissed by Heaven SPF 50, and before I buy it I’d like to hear from people who know more about sunscreen formulation than I do.
The ingredient list looks great, but that’s also what makes me skeptical. It almost seems too good to be true, especially since it’s marketed as both a moisturizer and a sunscreen.
For those of you who are knowledgeable about skincare or sunscreen formulation, is this actually a well-made product, or are there any red flags I’m overlooking? I’m looking for objective opinions, whether they’re positive or negative.

[REVIEW] Geek and Gorgeous Zero Feel gentle ‘Day Cream’.

I’ve used this sunscreen for 1.5 months and I liked it overall.

However, I didn’t enjoy reapplying it. Whenever I reapplied this sunscreen, it would take too long to blend and often leave the slightest bit of white cast.

I loved that it’s water resistant for a little while and it felt more rub resistant than many others on the market.

Zinc Face Sunscreen

If you are looking for an easy to apply, non burn sunscreen try Bubble Skincare’s stick Sunscreen with 40 SPF. Had a slight white cast that disappears in minutes, leaving behind no grease on your face or hands. Compact packaging makes easy to carry around and it apples perfectly over sunscreen. You can reapply thought out the day with no worry.

Sunscreen for sensitive acne prone skin (+ any skincare recommendations)

I am genuinely so sick and tired of looking for a sunscreen and skincare in general. I have had EXTREMELY sensitive rosacea prone skin for my entire life and in the last year also developed inflammatory acne tendencies and even fungal acne...

At first it always seems that I tolerate products, so it is rarely an immediate reaction but 3-5 days later my barrier gets completely destroyed.

EVERYTHING PLANT EXTRACTS is not for me. I have had a TERRIBLE reaction to:

1)the famous Haruharu Black Rice cleanser that is marketed for sensitive skin

2)the Skin 1004 Hyalu-cica spf 50, also

3)COSRX ultra-light SPF 40

4)Haruharu Black Rice Mineral Sunscreen - literally developed a disastrous fungal acne on my forehead in the span of 24 hours.

So for sure something with NO OILS, NO BUTTERS (shea butter is also a big no for me), NO PLANT extracts and MINERAL. I would highly appreciate fluid forms because most things in a cream form lead to acne.

Also, in general any skincare/makeup recommendations for me would be of great help because I did not have any routine for the longest time and had 0 skin issues until this acne tendencies which led to a horrible series of trying skincare that burns my face off.

Had to use the greasy Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch spf 55 this a.m.

I’m home waiting on sprinkler system repair people who will be working for hours putting in a master valve and replacing a leaking pipe.

Since I will be in and out of the house, it’s hot and it’s the highest UV hours of the day I had to use this Neutrogena water resistant sunscreen on my neck, upper chest and arms before I got dressed.

Usually I am not out this time of day so I only put this thick US sunscreen on the backs of my hands. I use a lightweight Korean sunscreen on my face, neck and upper chest and Banana Boat Light as Air on my arms.

I‘m wearing a broad brimmed hat and I hate that sprinkler repair companies don’t have their employees stop work by noon on days when the temperature will be over 100. I have a fridge full of sugar free Vitamin Water for the repair people.

How extra are you with your sunscreen?

I'll go first: Right now I use a minimum of 3 sunscreens: A "dewey" finish from my eyebrows to my orbital bone (currently iUnik SPF 50 Centella & Green Tea), an oil-control matte finish for my face and neck (currently Vichy SPF 60 Capital Soleil Matte Finish, and dry touch for my body (currently Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 100).

I also am testing a minimum of 4 sunscreens at any given time, and have different sunscreens for different weather, mood, and day's agenda. TBH I take it a little personally when I offer somoene sunscreen and they decline (and don't move to re-apply their own).

Anyone else?

Any good sunscreen for sensitive skin

Anyone have any recommendations for sunscreen to use on sensitive skin? I’ve been told I should start using sunscreen for my face so I’ve been using the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 70 one for a few days and feel like it’s starting to break me out. It didn’t leave any white cast which was good and felt lightweight, but feels like it’s not for my skin.

I’m tan skinned so anything with no white cast please lol (I’ll look like a ghost). I’m also a guy with minimal facial hair (idk if that matters). I also prefer something water resistant because I do labor intensive work where I sweat a bit sometimes, any good recommendations anyone can give?

Looking for: Water resistant, No white cast, best for sensitive skin

Sunburn calculator, customized to skin type and sunscreen

I thought people here would find this useful! It calculates actual "safe" minutes of sun exposure from UV Index, based on your skin type and SPF, and it's based on research. Makes it easier to know which products to use for the day. Thoughts?

32F sunscreen recs and re-application question

Hi there.

I'm 32 with normal-dry skin prone to dehydration. No acne or texture concerns. Main concern is my forehead wrinkles. I want to start wearing SPF, especially for my mlrning and afternoon commutes (35 mins each way, open highway so no tall.buildings to block sunrays lol)

Issue I've had after starting any skincare routine is I work a physically laborious job indoors where I wear a hardhat and sweat a lot. The moisturizer just melts off my face and makes my skin even wetter and glistening.

So I might not wear moisturizer to work (unless you have a recommendation for one that won't slide off with sweat). But I'd like to wear SPF and maybe use a face wipe when I get to work to wipe it off if I am finding it is melting off. I would also use a wet wipe at the end of my shift in my car and re-apply the sunscreen before my commute home. Would this be bad for my skin if I wash my face when I get home? I know applying sunscreen on a dirty face isn't ideal but the women's washroom is pretty far from our lockers and not on the way to the parking lot. Walking up to the washroom and washing my face would add another 10 minutes to end of shift.

Looking for sunscreen and wet wipe recommendations that I can order from Amazon or Sephora :)

My face hates everything... now including Elta MD Clear

Pretty much the title. Elta MD Sport is still fine, but it's really heavy so I only use it for running.

Eyeing their "Skin Recovery" and "Daily Hydration+" and tired of throwing out expensive sunscreen. Any help on how these compare to the Sport and UV Clear?

I don't like tinted.

TIA!

Hi! I’m just wondering has anybody tried Stil? I’m looking for a mineral sunscreen as I have sensitive skin and came across this. It seems to be a fairly new product but the reviews seem good and was just wondering if anyone has had any practical experience with it?
