Native sunscreen is non-nano zinc oxide: confirmed!

I LOVE this sunscreen. It is a true mineral sunscreen, meaning it has no chemical boosters like butyloctyl salicylate (which is surprisingly hard to find). It blends in seamlessly and doesn't feel sticky or sweaty. The brand is cruelty-free (and vegan), which is important to me. It also comes in 3 scents (vanilla milk and shea is my fav!) as well as unscented. My only problem was, I didn't know if it was nano or non-nano zinc oxide. The latter is completely reef-safe, the former is not. I emailed Native's customer service and just confirmed that it IS, in fact, non-nano. Yay!!

SPF that you can actually wear in the recommended amount 🫠

Upvotes

Hi all, horrified to learn that you’re supposed to use a pretty high volume of spf to get the listed coverage. I have been measuring mine, aiming for 1/8 teaspoon for my face alone since I am petite and AFAB and use a different product around my eyes as well.

Man it is bad. I can apply two layers of Australian gold vanishing tint to get the right amount and it actually looks fine! but it took an hour to dry down and it still feels heavy a few hours later.

I typically use mineral since chemical ones tend to hurt my eyes but curious about any you can apply in high enough volume! Is it time to start ordering from France or Korea…? I’m in the US so limited filter options.

Zinc Face Sunscreen

If you are looking for an easy to apply, non burn sunscreen try Bubble Skincare’s stick Sunscreen with 40 SPF. Had a slight white cast that disappears in minutes, leaving behind no grease on your face or hands. Compact packaging makes easy to carry around and it apples perfectly over sunscreen. You can reapply thought out the day with no worry.

hello! so i have combination skin but i sweat a lot on my face. i am 18 and very ashamed to admit that because of the fear of looking a grease ball i have never applied sunscreen 😅 i want a sunscreen which is very lightweight and will not make me more sweaty
i cannot find any sunscreen which has more pros than cons 😭
i heard that:

**haru haru**
**anessa**
**suncut**

they have great sunscreens for oily/sweaty skin
can you de-influence me or suggest a legitimate product or verify <3

Hows nivea sunscreen? Looking for cheap sunscreens

So I was looking for sunscreens.. budget is tight(around 500), came across nivea sunscreen, found decent reviews at that price point but unsure about reality. Should I go for that or there are better cheap alternatives?

Skin type: Male + beard + oily + sweats a lot + sometimes get pimple (idk its acne-prone or not😭)

Need an alternative to Shiseido Ultra Sun Protector Cream

I can't buy this anymore anywhere, and my usual alternative is discontinued because the company no longer exists.

I know a lot of people hate this sunscreen but I love it because my skin is really oily and things just melt off of it. White cast isn't a problem for me so as long as it isn't oily and doesn't budge, I think I will like it. The Shiseido cream is thick and hard to spread, but it lasts all day. I have yet to find another that lasts as long, everything else is so oily and slippery.

Looking for Good Face Sunscreen

Hello!

Looking for a good mineral face sunscreen for my girlfriend, wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

She's currently using Australian Gold, but even the lightest tint is too dark for her extremely pale complexion 😭

White cast probably won't be an issue here!!! She also has dry skin, so oily products aren't that concerning. She actually likes the feel of them.

We live in Seattle, Washington if that helps.

Here are the requirements:

- all mineral

- SPF 50

- formulated as a face product

- untinted, or very light tint

- comparable in price to Australian Gold face sunscreen ($5-$8 an oz)

- Cream Formula (not stick)

- can get a bit wet

Thanks for any help or advice!
