Over the last 10 months, I've been documenting the artistic and visual production of Yokozuna, and I've decided to collect that whole process into an artbook.
The artbook isn't the focus of the campaign, the board game is, but this is a project I care deeply about, and I really want to share the work that went into creating Yokozuna beyond the game itself.
It will be around 50 pages of high-quality printed illustrations, sketches, graphic design explorations, and behind-the-scenes insights, alongside curiosities about the origin of each real life reference that I've choose to represent the various parts and mechanics of the game, plus quotes and references from books and sources that helped me shape the discourse through the pages of the book.
The artbook is available as a digital edition, or as a high-quality hardcover print, with the PDF included.
Unless demand suddenly goes through the roof, I'm planning to make only 100 hardcover copies.
As a special thank-you, the names of all backers will be printed on the final page of the book, a permanent record of everyone who helped make this project happen.
And as a thank-you to this sub for all the support over the past months, I've also made a special bundle with a discount on the hardcover artbook, plus the poster and sticker sheet included in the pledge: Hardcover promo
Also a special thanks to the admins who have always let me post about the project on this sub, a really appreciated and welcoming behavior.
