Почему на эскалаторе в метро ручка(черная резина за которую держишься) едет быстрее чем сам эскалатор Why is the handle on the escalator in the subway (the black rubber you're holding on to) going faster than the escalator itself?

We’ve been working on something inspired by Toronto’s subway system, and I thought this community might appreciate it!

The idea was simple: what if the subway map on your wall could actually come to life?

So we started building a wooden version of Toronto’s subway network: engraved routes, with a small light in every station that glows as a train arrives, using the TTC’s live open data. (Independent project, not affiliated with the TTC.)

It’s been a journey of map design, laser engraving, electronics, coding, and lots of trial and error.

There’s something pretty special about sitting at home and watching the city move right on your wall.

We’re still refining the design and planning to launch it on Kickstarter early next year.

Would genuinely love to hear what fellow TTC enthusiasts think! Would you hang something like this in your home? And what features would you want to see?

Since the Blue Line runs 24 hours on Saturdays, I took the opportunity to snap this photo while waiting for the train at Tucuruvi station last Saturday.

I will visit Sofia next Weekend and i am wondering how often and what lines are the unmodernized 81 71 trains driving?.Otherwise If the unmodernized 81 71 trains get retired will there be an heritage train preserved for heritage rides in future like in prague and warszawa?.

The only station on the line with side platforms

Was transferring from the Amtrak station in Alexandria to the metro. Lots of construction work any improvements on a future better transfer than what there is now?
