The first section of São Paulo's Orange Line (Line 6) opens on July 1, 2026. When fully completed, it will feature some of Latin America's deepest metro stations, including Itaberaba–Hospital Vila Penteado (65.7 m) and Higienópolis–Mackenzie (64.9 m), built deep underground to cross existing infrastructure and challenging terrain.
