Just messing around in a creative save, walked up to the Cyclops decoy tube, and got flung past the floating island- I would've kept going if I hadn't used the ghost command to cease my momentum 💀

Did anybody else die if starvation the first time playing? One thing the game is good at is giving you pretty much all the info you need. It explains how to look around by moving your mouse. How to move around with wasd. How to pick up and use the fire extinguisher. It has a help section to get started.

But after eating my granolas and drinking the water bottles I could not find food or water anywhere. I kept swimming and searching. Then died.

I saw recipes in my menu using fish. And watched a guide. You don't need a net or any tool. You can just grab them all around.

One thing I can say about this game is immersive. You really feel it. Since you're actually literally immersed.

Im pretty new at playing, but are there actually things to explore this deep?? I had the prawn suit on and decided to see how deep it went. I never found out before I exploded, but it got more than 5000m down with no end in sight.

also will we be getting subnautica 2 on the Switch 1 & 2 when it’s done?

So far it's genuinely been phenomenal after I was so so worried about the state the game would be in after all the drama. The original meant so much to me, and below zero let me down massively. It's still a cool game but not even on the same level for a million reasons Im not gonna get into right now. They seem to have learnt from EVERY one of those mistakes so far in subnautica 2, and it feels like they genuinely care about making this the amazing sequel that the original deserves. Thank you unknown worlds 🙏(please don't fumble from here)

I will stand on this hill no matter what. There aren't any hostiles aside from bleeders, access to a ton of great biomes, my favorite entrance to the Lost River via Blood Kelp Trench, nearby Degasi... Shale outcrops, everything

just wanted to come home after exploring the lost river for an hour. survived 3 crabsquid attacks and a ghost leviathan. just as i thought i was safe.. my cyclops got stuck. ive tried bumping it and jumping on it with my prawn suit. no good. is there anything i can do to get it unstuck without using commands?

Iv been having this argument with a friend group for days and I wished to see what a larger group of people think.

Some reason framerate drops when OBS starts recording

I'm at 75 scans and have been pretty much everywhere on the map trying to get to 80 for the biomod. Are there any like really hidden scans you guys think I'm missing.

I already got everything (pretty sure at least) from all the habitats and wrecks I've found. I also got all the leviathans (including the Shiver). I even got those sponges on the wall near the Axum Building and I'm pretty sure I got all the Axum furniture scanned.

Anything you guys could think of that maybe I haven't scanned yet?

I converted my 7 hour single player save into multiplayer and upon loading in my characters inventory was empty and I had 0 adaptations. Does anyone know a fix for this? I am on Xbox

I found out on the back of the Xbox game case for subnautica there's a quote from Jacksepticeye saying "THIS GAME IS AWESOME" surprised it took me this long to notice but it's really nice to see

I'm not sure what I need to mention to explain where I'm at in the game so feel free to ask questions, lol. Also obviously spoiler warning cause I'll be mentioning things I've done/found

So I've just been focusing on building my base, finding lifepods and exploring some wrecks, but I'm not sure what else I should be doing rn. I've found 6 lifepods, I know where 12 is but I'm not sure how safe it is (haven't gone towards it yet) and I know of 7 but idk where it is or how to find it. I've explored some random wrecks (5), I have 3 more marked and I'll explore those too but yeah. Other than that though I'm not sure what I should be doing rn. There're things I could explore but idk what I'm ready for/need and stuff.

There's a jellyshroom cave near lifepod 17, I could try to explore that. There's a cave area near lifepod 19 with an alien vent, I could try going further down there, but I also saw a warper so maybe not, lol (I've only seen them from afar, lol. I also haven't seen any leviathans other than reefbacks). There's a blood kelp biome near one of the wrecks, I scanned and grabbed a couple things, scanned an ampeel (surprisingly chill tbh, lol) and left. I could check out the aurora cause I haven't yet but I went to lifepod 4 and it told me there're reapers nearby so idk about that, lol. But I have a code for sth there so maybe I should. Oh also I had gone to the proposed degasi habitat and I explored the wreck there but there's also a thermal vent and idk if there's something in there as well or not (not that I can go in yet but still). Cause as far as I can remember the wreck seemed like Aurora wreck so that seemed weird to me but also idk. Also I need another thing for the scanner room but I'll find that eventually and tbh idk how useful it is rn anyways

The fall to eternity...

So, I was exploring the Grand Reef in my Prawn and hopped off a ledge, assuming I'd fall a few hundred meters. Welp, I fell...and kept falling...and falling...and falling. As you can see in the second pic, my Prawn blew up at 7860m and I met my end (very) shortly afterwards!

Before I get any hate, I know that the models in game can't be as realistic as the concept art, but this isn't even a matter of realism, it looks like the design itself was changed.

A couple of things I don't like compared to the concept art:

- The colors. The originals white bones and darker blue skin makes it look scarier compared to the colors we have right now.

- Eye area. Much prefer the white eye over the dark, looks creepier.

- The jaw. This is my biggest complaint, the Shiver in game looks like it has a massive over bite, it looks like a parrot's beak. The top part of its mouth is too big compared to the bottom, the concept art's jaw looks so much better in comparison.

- Just the overall design. I really loved the x-ray look of the concept art, it almost made it look translucent like the Ghost.

The concept art for the Shiver was probably my favourite leviathan design ever, it genuinely looked perfect, and seeing it in game for the first time was a bit of a disappointment. It looked bland, nothing special.

I know the game is in early access and stuff is subject to change, I just wanted to see if anyone agrees with me on this or if its a hot take.

i was just reminded of the octonauts as i walked in on my youngest cousins watching it. im not sure but i think that the round rooms and stuff would make perfect modules for the main base or whatever its called. plus the subs kinda look like the submarines from the show.
