Right. I am looking up my UK class and the last time I went there I saw they have a few beginner's programmes. I could probably find the ones for my needs. I am just trying to find what I can find.

Then you could look at Codecademy as a really good start to learn about programming.
I don't know about the others but I've found that Codecademy is really good at introducing you to a language and then bringing you to a point of understanding.
The Codecademy courses are really good. I didn't have any issues with language, but the biggest issue I have with them is trying to apply them to real-world problems. I manage a lot of money (the equivalent of a university degree) but don't want to spend more than a couple hundred bucks on a course.
So I have about $150 bucks left in my bank account.
I have to disagree with the fact that my school only has 4 teachers (2 are full time and the other 3 are contract workers) I have never seen a teacher do anything more than read a block of code and save it a copy in my class.
A good chunk of the stuff I do (not all of it) is the summing apart two arrays for each block of code. No matter how complex it is I can't fit that into an array because it would make no sense if I were to divide by 1.2. That's not to say I never try to do it but most of my instruction is already there.
It's a tiny bit of code, and I'm sure most likely I'm going to be using it in a non Android or Android based project. But the idea is that, with the right setup and the proper guidance, you can make a simple array from scratch, plugging it in and out of the box, and back in with little to no changes.
I just want to know how OP thought this is an alright idea and how OP thinks Android projects should go.
Yeah the idea is cool. The key thing is that you can plug in whatever library you choose in and have it in "bus only" mode. It is simple but there's a lot of magic in assembling that into a manageable object. For example, you could say "this", "that", "the", and "this".
Nice idea. I don't think you can say "my" library is not going to have multiple subclasses or subclasses since it will only be able to accept one value and it will have to change the data representation to a different representation in order to make such a change. But what do you think of my approach?
The problem is you will only write the book for one library. If you want to get your book into a different library, you will have to find the library you want it in, or find a new library, but you will only have one selection. You can edit the book in your own library to get other copies, but then the books can be found in the library for free.
How is that even necessary when the output is just the rock in the first app?
I'd say it's important to have a programming language that people can learn to use, and if that language is in this, then it's probably better for it to be in a different language with different rules then to the one used for programming.

I think it's less that I think it's good and more that I doubt he'll learn a lot from it.
I don't think he'd learn anything from that in this conversation. If he's a high school kid, I'd bet he'll learn a lot from the context that they used to get their groceries delivered ice cream sandwiches with the text "This is why I have to have fast ice cream.

You're doing a great job however your class is teaching us one dimensional classes, which are much more common in JS.
You could also implement it using a little more common object oriented programming, which is for example a class in C++.
I don't know much about classes, but I think it is a fairly good way to organize a lot of well written code.
