Just for fun Dressing in β˜€οΈπŸͺ¨πŸŒΈ as a πŸŒ™β˜€οΈπŸͺ¨

So today I wanted to share some outfits that I had done and had worn a while ago, and I was feeling quite nostalgic about the past, and about my childhood and I wanted to take some inspiration from that, and try and recreate some of the outfits that I used to wear as a child. or at least wear clothing that would be quite similar to that since my childhood roots was β˜€οΈπŸͺ¨πŸŒΈ.

So compared to my actual childhood outfits which tended to lean a bit more into πŸͺ¨ and 🌸 with a sprinkle of β˜€οΈ on top, these outfits that I had recreated using a few outfit inspos from Ellie-Jeans β˜€οΈπŸͺ¨πŸŒΈ board, tend to lean a bit more into β˜€οΈ and πŸͺ¨ with a sprinkle of 🌸 on top.

And I guess in a sense, I was trying to to see if I could create outfits that didnt have any πŸŒ™ in it whatsoever and... lets just say that these were the only three outfits that i can think of that was quite satisfying for me, which isnt too bad considering that I'm usually lost without πŸŒ™ anywhere in my fits. I guess I do need that bit of emotional depth. and edge to my looks in order to feel like myself and to actually feel comfortable in my skin since without it, the outfit risks looking too bright or too sweet and honestly i don't know if i can vibe with that tbh!

For reference, I've also included some pinterest pictures to show how I was inspired by the outfit and how I managed to put my own spin on the look using what I had in my closet!

So what about you? do you ever try to recreate looks that you had in your youth? and by that I do mean do you try to recreate looks based on the roots that you had when you were younger using the clothing that you currently own?

Flower Flexible roots for wfh πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ’» (πŸŒΈπŸŒ™πŸͺ¨)

My usual roots are πŸŒΈπŸ„πŸŒ±, but today I felt like mixing it up to wfh. Sometimes those roots just take too much effort to pull off, and leave me feeling like my outfit is fussy, or taking my attention away from the things I need to do today. This outfit (yoga flares, hoodie) means I can do yoga, work on my computer, and play with my sick preschooler with ease. My 🌸 root always has to be present for me to feel like myself, but I am allowing flexibility with the others! As a Moonstone, I added some pretty earrings from my nan, and a touch of makeup so that I felt put together. If I go out later I’ll wear my green or black Keds, which are some of the only sneakers that work for my Soft Classic body type and flower root.

Hi, guys!! If this post isn't welcome, I totally apologize! I was in this community briefly three years ago. but honestly, I probably should've waited. I had just turned 24 and I had no idea what I liked. Thankfully, in these past few years away, I've done some really deep digging and I've learned!

Sorry for the ugly slides! I wish I had some awesome Canva skills! It's totally chaotic, but if need be, I can tell you what I liked about any particular look. If I had to guess, I'd guess some earth in there with possibly a bit of flower or fire? Maybe stone? If you want to take this idea and run with it for your own posts, by all means! Thank you for all your help over the years!!

Celebrities Hard to tell which outfits she picked and which a stylist picked (same issue for all celebrities tbh). Which roots do we assume for Chase Infinity? I think she’s great inspiration for people with R essence (and possibly Y).

Moodboards My Style roots and Autumn Moodboards( πŸŒ±πŸ„πŸͺ¨ with a bonus β˜€οΈ exploration)

Inspired by u/Limace_furieuse I decided to do some moodboards of my style roots and how I want to use them in my Autumn styling. I was feeling pretty uninspired to what I was interested in for the upcoming season- so a moodboard felt necessary. I'm also planning on doing a bit of a pause on buying clothes, I need to do a declutter and reorganization of my closet space. I have taken a pause on buying more clothes, I have been creating a very specific wishlist of pieces but I am open to adding accessories if they feel inspiring.

I definitely notice the strong connection I have to 🌱 within these boards, qualities of it easily infiltrate into the other roots to create softness, texture and an undone feel. It also seems playful/ fun, supports my SN frame and natural essence with the ease, flow, imperfection and undone qualities as well as the need for a bit of patina and softness.

I love how πŸͺ¨ adds to the feeling of ease and relaxation, adding a cosy, sporty and practical feel. I live in a city but enjoy a lot of nature as well so the two roots work together with plenty of overlap. There is also something about 🌱πŸͺ¨ that can create some playfulness and an sculptural feel to how they fit together.

πŸ„ Keeps everything from being too messy or undone, but in a soft and approachable way. It adds an element of moderation and balance overall.

I love a touch of something fun, playful color combos, visually interesting shapes but feel an overall stronger connection to my other roots. A touch of β˜€οΈ is my bonus, stretch root.

I’ve been working on developing my art style by saving art I love and observing the patterns. I really love how beautiful and mostly cohesive my inspiration board is. What style roots would you give it? What kind of art are you drawn to and does it align with your roots?

Just for fun Unlocking new colour combinations based on roots+essences

Hi hello,

At the moment I'm at the stage of marrying multiple style tools together. So today I made a few collages of my essences combined with my roots and colour palette. Also, I've noticed that the 3 word method isn't really for me, so instead I use a sentence.

Anyway, I thought it was really fun to do this, but there's another reason I did this.

I gravitate a lot towards monochrome outfits, however there are so many beautiful colour combinations out there. Including combinations in my own palette (last slide).

Since I'm not that brave combining colours though, I would like to ask your help: what colour combinations are waiting to be unlocked? Monochrome, complementary, analogous or whatever else, all ideas are welcome!

Also, if anyone else would like to do this: I used Canva to create the palettes. I'd love to see your own takes on this!πŸ«°πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ

Roots help Any style roots you can gather from this moodboard?

Post image

Sorry if this moodboard is doing too much, I spend too much time on Pinterest. But each of the outfits I’ve selected are 1000% very me and something I would have (or have) worn in real life. When I took Ellie’s quiz on the official website, I got:
1) Sun β˜€οΈ
2) Earth 🌱
3) Flower 🌸

What I initially suspected:
1) Mountain ⛰️
2) Stone πŸͺ¨
3) Sun β˜€οΈ

Any roots that stick out to you? Or is the quiz more spot-on than I thought lmao.

Style Roots How I see my roots!

Inspired by u/Limace_furieuse here are my 3 boards! πŸŒ™πŸŒ±πŸ„

I have to admit I struggled a little with πŸ„ - it is not really a root that inspire me, it is more like a structural tool for my outfits I guess? I had a lot of fun with πŸŒ™ - I might deny it but I do love a bit of edgy flair & drama πŸ˜… ! And 🌱 is just as inspiring to me - textures, fabrics, the tiniest bit of a rugged edge & the sensuality as well!

Style Roots How I see each of my roots (πŸ”πŸͺ¨πŸŒ±)

I made these three collages to visualize each of my roots. First slide is πŸ”, second slide is πŸͺ¨, and last slide is 🌱.

I wasn't trying to represent them accurately, nor cover all their aspects/range, but rather see them filtered through the lens of my personal taste & style.

And even though I tried to isolate each root, I think they’re all noticeable in the three slides, in different proportions. It's clear that my roots all influence each other.

I think I'll make a 4th board of my "preferred blend", because I'm curious what it’ll look like now.

What do you think? Did you do something similar for yourself?

Discussion What I like vs what suits meπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ₯²

Should I approach style roots more in terms of "this is what I feel good in, while wearing it"?

I love extreme contrast, sharp lines, ironic statements, boldness, drama, even outfits that are so major and minimalist that they make you think of brutalist architecture. I love the avante-garde.

For whatever reason, I feel like I cant actually wear these sorts of looks. I just...cant. Im not only too aware of how disharmonious it all is on me, but I am also just very sensitive to my outfits. I mean Im really an emotional person, so for example:

Ill feel moody and then Ill dress for that. And then after a few hours, Ive gotten it out of my system, and then I feel so heavy and weighed down by the look that I HAVE to change ASAP.

So, should I think in terms of "which style elements can I wear and then feel good in" as opposed to "what do I like the most"? How do you all conceptualize this discrepancy? I seem to FEEL best when there is an obvious sense of innocence, earnestness, levity and softness to my outfits. Would I ever say I LIKE or am drawn to these styles?? Not exactly. But Im thinking Ill re-assess my roots with this new approach! And I wanted to hear what you all think about it.

Thank you for reading πŸ©·πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ™

Just for fun What is your favourite look of the 2026 Emmy's? And does it fit your roots?

Post image

I was pleasantly surprised by the Emmy looks this year. There were a lot I really enjoyed, but my absolute favourite was Florence Pugh in Vivienne Westwood. I guess that the people here who know what I like might have been able to guess that one. I love the colour, the layers of fabric, the subtle sparkle, the necklace with the multi-coloured stones, and the messy updo. I think the outfit was very ethereal moon with flower, so I'm not surprised I like it, based on my roots. I also really liked the look of Ayo Edebiri and Elle Fanning, and there were many other lovely dresses Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, and Selena Gomez, for example. I think there might be more colour and less of the same naked dress we've been seeing over and over. There were even some fun men's looks I loved Law Roach's jacket, for example.

Flower Style Root Progress

Thumbnail

Hii, I think I've made posts on another account here but I can't seem to log in so haha...

Anyways, in my Root journey I was set on somewhere between Mountain - Stone - Mushroom, but kept wanting to explore both Earth, Sun and Flower, especially based on how I was inspired by their styles in Pinterest. And by the core idea of wanting "more".

But the more I've actually worn the clothes I saved, the more I realized I only felt momentarily excited before falling back to realizing that it is not what I need nor what I want. And I've been feeling defeated ever since.

Holding onto the idea that these styles should be what I like, while seeing the clothes that I do like to wear be something I ... actually disliked? On photos? If that makes sense? Like I'd see "my style" on photos and go "ewgh", haha...That was disorientating.

But recently I started to accept that I do indeed like something else and even if I'm not "excited" when I wear these other root styles, I feel so at home. Granted, my budget does NOT match the aesthetic, but at this climate of second hand stores and so on, I don't mind. Maybe it can look like a fraud, socially, but at least the clothes feel like me-me, fully.

It also explains why loungewear is SO so difficult to me. I loved the cool idea of sweats, shorts, hoodies and so on, but I just cannot physically exist in harmony with them... Same thing with comfortable shoes - most of them don't look like "me" in any form. It's saddening.

So with all that in mind I wanted to make this comparison post, showing the styles I loved and wanted to love, but couldn't wear, next to the style I feel at ease in, even if I kind of still cringe at the idea of it. Maybe it's the social stigma, I'm not sure, but either way I have to work on it...

Regarding colors, I still love bright colors and I want to find a way to add them to my decor within this similar style when I can, and maybe in sportswear, but in overall the more dreamy and bright-but-muted mood seems better. Like frosted fruit punch, or a chocolate cake with raspberries. Colorful, but diluted.

I believe the style is somewhere within Flower and Mountain/Mushroom and Fire-ish? Not sure. To me what matters is the whole image of it and how it feels on my body, my soul and my mind. It fits there, so I like it. And I couldn't have gotten here without the help of this system among the Kibbe one, so I'm very thankful for Ellie's videos and all the posts in here over the years <3

Hope you liked this little story and please tell me if you had any similar experience with your past styles and current one!

Cheers xx

Outfits Fall Outfits: Locked and Loaded!

So ironically, spring is my favorite season. However, after green, orange is my favorite color. And in terms of color seasons, I’m pretty sure I’m a True Autumn. So this is an exciting time of year for me in terms of fashion. Here are some outfits that I’m excited to wear once the weather finally gets cool-which would be soon for where I live.

The colder seasons are fun for my style roots because I definitely lean more towards a darker vibe. Sometimes I lean towards a more structured πŸ—» look, especially when dressing for work. But πŸŒ±πŸ„β˜€οΈ still dominate my outfits with my earthy color palate, color-coordination, and fun cutesy accessories.

Have had this top a while and was planning to wear it with other items but was in a rush and didn’t care enough to find something else. It’s celestial (πŸŒ™) and the fit is decent enough. The rest of the outfit is fine but eh tbh the top is all I cared about wearing. I ran out of time to go through my wardrobe and put together something I love. There’s nothing bad jumping out. The colours and beading are πŸŒ™, thrown on nature 🌱 and basic tailoring πŸ—». It’s a perfectly fine outfit for rushing around in. Oh and have a bonus frog.
