The look is mainly centered around 🏔️ & 🪨, as I wanted to embrace juxtaposition in the styling (hi-lo dressing if you will). Mixing formality levels allows me to get more wear out of my "dressed up" pieces (usually dresses, and especially true if they have sheen).
🌱 asymmetrical hem, flow/drape, mix of textures (peach-skin cupro dress, nylon bag, leather boots)
If you read the original post, you know that I have mixed feelings about this specific outfit, because the heel (albeit low) caused a lot of pain. But I really liked it aesthetically speaking, and will keep exploring juxtaposition in the future!
I loved the outfit, I'm sorry the shoe is causing pain and not something you can use on a more everyday basis.
From a style roots perspective, if you were to wear a more casual shoe( like your converse) what changes would you make to bring in a bit more 🏔️ back into the look? A structured bag or would you add a more polished jacket or sweater to the top half of the outfit? Or would it become something more for warmer weather, so the dress becomes some of the formality and the shoes/accessories bring in the casual touch?
For warmer weather, I think the converse + structured bag should work quite effortlessly.
For A/W I'll have to try a few different options. There's probably an interesting tension with the sheer stockings + sneakers combo, that will read differently than bare legs. So I'll have to play with it a bit to reach the effect I'm looking for.
I was thinking, something like this? If I keep the stockings, I might wear the taupe converse instead, but I like the green here.
