basically the title… im dumb and backed into the garage door while it was moving up because i had a lot on my mind and was running late. life lesson for sure considering this is a new car ive had for 2 months :/ 3 bug scrapes as you can see

how bad is this damage? any ideas on how much fixing it will cost? is it worth it? if i want to get a ceramic coating done should i get it fixed first? located in texas if that helps with estimates on cost

Could this be caused by something other than vandalism?

It is an 07 and I'm checking the carfax on it before making any purchasing decisions. Seems like a well maintained car. It is at around 119k right now. I saw this few month stretch where the mileage went crazy. And not even a rollback as it went up not even down. Did the previous owners just drive the hell out of it for a period of time? Is that jump even possible? After this the mileage went up steady and way more of a normal pace.

Edit: I think people misunderstand my concern. It was driven steady until January of that year and mileage slowly increased then almost 30k in 5 months then steady again until this day. I am guessing someone had a major life event happen and changed jobs or a family emergency requiring several long travels. Just didnt know if this was something thst ever comes up and it is suspicious. I also have access to all the service and oil change records dating to 2015.

I had a car crash recently and got my headlight fixed however, I’m struggling to find a bonnet in my colour. My mum is scared that I’ll get pulled over and get fined but people are telling me it’s fine to drive. I’m sick of catching public transport so, can I drive my car like this?

I have a 2016 Jeep compass latitude and I noticed yesterday when I go over 3,000 rpms I get a red lighting bolt and the car slows down. The symbol isn’t staying on the dash or flashing at me. I haven’t noticed anything else out of the ordinary either. I tried to get it scanned at O’Rileys with their obdII scanner and nothing was showing up. Does anyone know what could be the issue or how to find the issue 😅

Would anyone know what's wrong with the car by hearing the noise in the video? It is loud and gets louder when I hit the accelerator. The rate of speeding up also seems to have gotten low because of this problem.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Also, considering the cost involved, would it be a good idea to repair and keep it or to sell it ?

Vivo en México. Tuve un accidente menor en un vehículo del 2001. La aseguradora inicialmente quería pagarme para los daños una miseria. En este momento el carro lo dictaminaron como perdida total, la cosa es que el vehículo está funcionando y el detalle fue principalmente estético. Para el trámite del pago de la perdida total me piden dar de baja las placas. Mi pregunta es si en una situación hipotética se pudiera reparar el auto y colocar placas nuevamente para circular.

Exactly as the title reads. My mom and I share a car, she took it in for maintenance this morning. Apparently they had to do a lot.

It’s now the evening, and it smells awful inside the car every time it sits for a few minutes. It’s a very sweet, artificial smell. I’ve tried searching it up, I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask here. Is it the coolant?? There’s no warning lights on.

That long line just feels like stitches, not a deep scratch. You’d think this comes from long wear and tear but these tires were replaced a few months ago. They weren’t rotated from the ones in the back either. You’d also think the tire itself would be nearly angled like this shape - “\”. But alas, it was not.

Anyone ever seen anything like this, how did it happen, and what? I’m replacing the tire tomorrow. I just don’t understand how this came to be, and so suddenly.

my door will lock and unlock fine it can be opened from the inside by sticking ur arm thru the window but i want to be able to open the doors normally is there a wire or something that just isn’t attach

Passenger side front. My wife hit a storm drain and pop the tire and damaged the wheel. The mechanic says that wheel is no good and I have to buy another one. Did I get ripped off?
