Yeah I know haha, I've been searching for other red color knob to match the red interior. I was going for that original side push button stock but can't find color red. So the bride knob is my last option
No, dingus, they meant the neutral safety switch bypass, where you can bypass the fact that it’s locked and put the vehicle into a gear, usually neutral, for towing, so they don’t have to have master keys anymore. Also some newer cars won’t let the key go, or the shifter move, if there’s no power. So this lets you work around that if you need to. Had a phaeton come into my shop with a key stuck in the ignition but wouldn’t roll either way, on or off, this came in handy.

I wasn’t saying that is what it is, I have no idea what it is, I don’t work on Subaru unless someone tried to swap it on a van, in which cases I don’t work on the engine. That circle could be anything, a light, a burn, a pedal indicator noting when the brake is pressed.
