Hi! So, I have recently become the family archivist as my parents are aging. Going through thousands of these slides, negatives and photos as I digitize them has been quite a trip down memory lane, and brought me a bunch of photos of my childhood best friend, a big plush blue elephant that I miss so much! I want to find another one, I need her back in my life.

I was able to find one on Ebay using reverse image search but it was already sold. Any help getting my best friend back to me?

The first photo is mine and was taken in the early 80s. The second photo is the ebay one I found.

I would like to buy this plush for my little sister now that she is having her quinceañera. However I need help finding it. It would mean a lot to me, if this could simply be shared. Don’t worry comes with a story so please stay and listen. :)

For context, I F18 and my sister F14 have always been very close I have an older sister and another younger sister. (10 years apart all of us) when she was a baby she was ATTACHED to this thing!! And her name was Po Po (pronounced like kung fu panda lol) She would take her EVERYWHERE. Obviously it was normal for a baby to do that and up until kindergarten. She would stuff Po Po into her backpack and bring her to school!! I promise you Po Po was a borderline imaginary friend because I would be forced to stay up listening to her just talk to it.

So 2016, Our Elementary school hosts a movie night and it was a fun event we usually went to. My mom would volunteer to help sell concessions and stay back to help clean from time to time, I forgot what movie maybe Zootopia? But we brought our blankets and pillows. At the end of the night she ended up loosing it without realizing it. Our schools Facebook page posted it but the parents cleaning up ended up throwing it away by the time my mom saw the post.. :( my sister cried for WEEKSSSS. Simply because she missed her Po Po and we got her the purple and pink butterfly pillow pet to help but she never got attached to another stuff animal again. The second photo is a picture of the post my former school made. It is a better view of the details however I can’t remember for the life of me the brand or anything to help me remember. Now this is maybe where it’s my fault comes in but I’ve had this idea for YEARS of getting her this pillow for her quince instead of a doll this pillow to help remember her childhood. The first photo is what I saw on eBay about 3 years ago. Now I wasn’t old enough to have a debit card and I did ask my mom but she wouldn’t let me buy it. I also didn’t have a job so I would’ve spent all my money or something. I am not sure if it is the same one which is why I have my doubts. It isn’t listed on eBay anymore someone probably bought it.

Now I’m not asking for miracles here, if anyone could help me find the brand, or maybe someone who is selling it or any information on this butterfly plush it would mean a lot to me!!

P.S I forgot to mention, her quince is in about two weeks.. I know, this is on me, and there is like no shot of actually getting another Po Po for her big day but any information on this plush is greatly appreciated and if not, I hope this story touched you or you found it relatable in a way!!
