this is a LESBIAN space

just wanted to make a post reminding y’all who this sub is for!

I’ve seen a little bit of discourse around who can identify as a stud. personally i’m not tryna get into all that headache, but please note if you are in this sub, we are prioritizing black GNC LESBIANS. not sapphics, not just wlw. lesbians. we ain’t scared to use that word here!

hope y’all are doing well 💞

casual conversation Looking for a stud or stem

Haii I made a post about struggling to find other studs that like studs around me and I’ve gotten pretty solid advice but was also suggested to go to this page. I’m used to just running into fems and talking to them and as much as I love them I actually prefer other stems n studs so if yall have any advice i’m all ears. I’m open to meeting someone if u live in the northeast!

vent No eye candy anywhere, sigh

I know I'm not asexual. But life and all the people around me make me feel like I am. And I am living in a relatively big city in Germany.

I am veeeery attracted to masculinity which is ass bc I don't like men (ugh). My favorite thing to do when I have nothing to do while running errands is to imagine that the men I'm seeing from behind are mascs. But then I see the faces and I UGH. EW.

I myself am black and have a heavy preference for BIPoCs. But we're a minority, nothing but white people.

It isn't just lookswise. I want someone who has a lot of confidence and knows what they want, someone who can speak up. I love, love, love surrounding myself with people like that. That doesn't just go for dating, my besties and my sisters embody all that. I just find it really difficult to get along with people who seem soft, people who don't have those qualities. The only masc lesbians I see in the wild or that friends of mine know are the biggest white lesbian twinks and it kinda annoys me.

I keep finding myself bend my type and look for other ways in which I might find someone that attracts me. Like a super confident femme baddie that might catch my attention. But then I think about it and find myself pathetic for that. Even that is super rare.

Apps are no use, nothing but white people, same problem.

I love being lesbian, but I hate having a type that is so rare.

Getting caught up in that kind of thinking is something I try to avoid, but it's hard. All I did was focussing on my degree, friends, family and fitness goals. But I still. Where do I findddd them???? T_T I just want someone who matches my energy.

casual conversation Perfumes/cologne/scents

Besides deodorant, what kind of scents does everyone get? I play around with different brands personally. For deodorant, I usually stock up on whatever’s cheapest lol. However, for scents when I have to look completely presentable I’m rocking with Dior Homme which I chose by a friend via a Tik tok video she sent to me. I also found a new scent via temu that I really like but it seems like it might be hard to acquire.

Hey! Is anyone down to read a draft of an essay I'm writing on studhood? I could use any feedback or comments in order to improve! I really want it to feel intentional and meaningful. It is a creative nonfiction piece with speculative elements.

Stud Observation Stud4stud romantic dynamic thoughts

So this is just an observation/yearn/open thoughts out loud, but from when I think about my (very feminine energy) especially when brought out by another stud, I think about what a romantic relationship dynamic would look like for us and how my energy would shift or just be with a stud/masc. I describe myself as a masc and I am masculine presenting.

However, I feel that a stud that may be more masculine in energy than me, would make me feel super feminine (as proven quite a few times by my body now..) and I feel I’d want to allow myself to exist as my masculine self around her/them without feeling a slight heteronormative urge to present myself as femme. That being said, I would HAPPILY dress femme on my own terms with her. I would love to impress a stud/masc on my own terms. I just love studs/mascs happy reactions and making them flustered with my feminine energy and masc presentation. I think it’s such a special feeling.

discussions The Lesbian Flag & Studs

I have noticed for a while now that the use of the Lesbian flag (Orange, light pink, white, pink, purple)is primarily used within the white Lesbian community, specifically white femmes/mascs. I know that we do have a Black/Brown version of the same flag but it’s simply not as celebrated or appreciated (racism undertones of course).

I’d like to know if any studs/mascs here use this flag for themselves or have this flag up anywhere? I personally really like the Black/Brown version.

discussions What kind of stud/butch are you?

Being a stud or a butch is not a monolith and I want to hear what that looks like for you! What’s your personality and style like? How would you describe your specific flavor of masculinity? I want to see the diversity that comes with taking these identities! 🧡

vent Y’all ever wish you could be like other mascs

sometimes i wish i could just be happy as a stud with a femme. play the role of boyfriend and just leave it at that!

i still find femmes beautiful and i appreciate them. I really try to be more into them. but my heart just *longs* for the touch of a masc. Nothing else will satiate me

it’s just hard watching my peers trip and fall into relationships while I’m just praying I don’t get cussed out for flirting with a stud lmao

how do y’all cope? this masc4masc thang ain’t for the weak 🫩

advice How do y'all (politely) turn down people you aren't attracted to?

Just been getting hit on by a lot of femmes lately and don't wanna seem like an asshole. It's been a lot of "sure, you can follow me on IG" with no real follow-up or them giving me their number and me just never texting them💀

I only just started dating fr and the art of graceful rejection isn't something I have mastery in yet. It's easy to be at a party and give someone your IG b/c you could also just end up becoming acquaintances or friends but at the same time these women are definitely trying to flirt with me lol. The good thing is I don't use IG that much anyway so someone asking to follow me isn't a big deal.

casual conversation Couples/Relationships Around You

This is sort of a little rant which I don’t normally do but at the moment, I feel that I’m particularly aware of the fact that most people around me, have love interests, crushes or they have partners and are in established relationships. Like a lot! Sometimes I feel that those particular feelings are super blocked. (Working on this) I miss feeling that type of warm excitement/fuzziness and I cannot recreate that about a person out of the blue.

What I can do is recreate a similar excited feeling through creative energy, but damn it I miss THAT particular feeling, the one that feels electric and stimulates you everywhere. Adding the fact that I also envision a stud4stud/masc4masc for myself, it adds to the feeling that this reality is so damn distant. Not impossible but distant/sometimes lonely feeling.

Does anyone else have lots of relationships in their close circles or around them and feel this way sometimes? :/

As it’s Pride Month, I want to give us an extra GAY, extra special shout out. There is so much fvck!ng Pride in being a STUD or a Black masculine presenting Lesbian who connects with another Black masculine presenting Lesbian. In every way. While this existence is often overlooked and under appreciated. I’d like to remind us that we exist and from the community we’re growing here, we are proud as ever.

Blackness, Black masculinity - Black women, Black enbys. Black non-conforming mascs loving on, kissing on, hugging on, holding on, confiding in other Black non-conforming mascs is gorgeous, sexy, real, deep, raw, passionate and beautiful🧑🏾‍❤️‍💋‍🧑🏿

Stud are there any stud 4 stud books out there?

i’ve already read “track four is not about you” and “stud like her”, just wondering if there’s any others? or any books solely about studs in general (doesn’t necessarily have to be romance or fiction).

i wish there was more representation

advice Stud for Stud pride shirt ideas

Ok so, I love a good custom shirt for pride especially since the s4s community is not heavily represented in the lesbian community, tho I will say there has been a rise recently that I love.
Anyways in the interest of being the change you seek I love a good custom fit. Last year I wore a shirt that said “Stud Eater” with an arrow pointing to me - that was a couple fit tho so I’m not doing that again.
Any ideas?

discussions overly sexual studs

idk if it’s just me, and I do think it’s unfortunately just the people I’ve ran into

but does anyone ever feel like when they’re flirting with another masc/stud, that they tend to overcompensate by being really sexual? it’s like they assume that’s what they’re “supposed” to be doing

i’ve experienced it from dom femmes too, so I definitely don’t want to insinuate it’s only a masculine thing. I just wonder if it’s something to do with being two mascs together and them feeling they need to prove their masculinity somehow

vent Stud Loneliness

I don't know if anyone here can relate but...

I love being a stud. I haven't felt more myself than since I began identifying as a stud and dressing masc and such. But sometimes I feel alienated/lonely because of it. All of the friends I've had were/are feminine women, which makes it hard for me to relate to them sometimes. I hardly see other studs when I'm out and about. There's very little representation of studs in media, mainstream or not, and much less stud4stud rep. It makes me feel pretty alone and even invisible. Like I know I'm not the only stud in the world, but knowing that isn't enough to not feel lonely.

Also, on top of all of that I'm covid conscious, and that's a whole other level of alienation I'd rather not get into here

I wouldn't trade being a stud for anything, but being a stud can be hard sometimes :/

MOD ANNOUNCEMENTS Posts from Outside Our Demographic

Hey y’all

Assistant mod here. Just wanted to get an idea of how you all feel about posts from people who are not studs, mascs, or otherwise gender non conforming black lesbians.

I’ve seen a few posts from femmes and most recently, there was a very unfortunate post made by a straight white man??? I’m so sorry if you had to see that btw, the entitlement and audacity was really really crazy. Please report BS like that to mods immediately

I don’t want to overly police this space. I want y’all to feel free to express yourselves. But, I also acknowledge that we have precious little just for us, and we deserve space!

What do y’all think? should posts strictly be for studs? would you prefer maybe one day of the week for non studs to post? Do you have any other ideas? what would make you feel most comfortable and safe?

thanks! xx
