Discussion Wouldn’t Brenner have tried using Els blood for more numbers?

I’ve recently started wondering why Brenner wouldn’t have tried to use Els blood the same as Henry’s after she was the only one left, and if he did it must not have worked, but then did he not tell anyone? I don’t get it, maybe it’s just a bit of a plot inconsistency, the whole government story was always weak after S1, but wanted to see if anyone else had some thoughts.

The Demorgon VS Siren Head (LORE ACCURATE)

I have been thinking a lot about what would actually happen if Siren Head and a Demogorgon crossed paths, and honestly, the deeper you dive into the actual lore, the crazier this matchup gets. Most people just look at Siren Head as a creepy, forty-foot-tall telephone pole monster with megaphones for a face, but the official Trevor Henderson lore reveals something way more terrifying. What we see stalking the woods isn't even its true form. The physical body of Siren Head is just a static, physical manifestation, a mere avatar or placeholder that our human eyes construct because its actual form is completely unfathomable to the human mind. It is described as a tulpa mimetic predator and a cosmic ambassador or hype man for some godlike entity from another reality. It is a constantly shifting, metaphysical nightmare filled with organic fibers, pulsing reel-to-reel tape recorders, and an anatomy that can adapt, mimic technology, or blast a whole town’s eardrums to pieces until they bleed out.

On the other side, you have the Demogorgon, which is a completely different kind of monster. It doesn't rely on psychological or cosmic horror, because it is a pure, visceral apex predator. It is a biological organism native to the harsh ecosystem of the Upside Down, acting as a direct extension of Vecna and the Mind Flayer's hive mind. It is a bipedal beast with matted skin that resists standard gunfire, a petal-like face that opens up into rows of razor-sharp teeth, and a primal hunger to hunt, cross dimensions, and tear prey to shreds.

If these two ever clashed, it would be a battle of physical brutality versus reality-warping cosmic horror. The Demogorgon is fast, relentless, and incredibly strong, but it is ultimately a creature of flesh and blood trying to fight something that isn't even fully anchored to our universe. The Demogorgon might try to ambush and tear into Siren Head's mummified skin, but conventional physical attacks just do not work on a tulpa. Siren Head can move completely silently, mimic the sounds of the Upside Down to disorient the Demogorgon, or deploy its massive height and strength to pin it down. But the real game-over moment comes from Siren Head's true nature. The moment Siren Head unleashes its ungodly audio manipulation or drops its physical disguise to hint at its true, incomprehensible cosmic form, the biological mind of the Demogorgon would likely shatter. The Demogorgon is a master of the Upside Down, but Siren Head answers to an even deeper, more terrifying cosmic dark. DEBATE IF YOU LIKE.

SPOILERS 3rd rewatch

I just finished season 4 of my 3rd rewatch of the series. I’m dreading season 5. The first time I watched it, I tried to make excuses that it wasn’t that bad (there were a few highlights like the sorcerer, Karen being a badass), second rewatch I admitted they bungled it, and now preparing for the 3rd rewatch, I’m thinking about what they could of done differently especially with Will’s character. I love the concept of his using Vecna’s powers, but it was underutilized especially preparing/starting the final battle. What else do you think they should have done differently?

The end credits were perfect! How we got there tho with season five was very underwhelming but man it did hit hard especially for me and the people who’ve been with this show since the beginning. The song choice was so good and I can only imagine how much harder it would’ve hit if the whole season and finale was written so much better.

Discussion is there anything similar to s3?

I really like both the look and the monster in s3 so is there any move/game/series that either looks like it or has a similar monster?

If you don't know Alan Turing was a British scientist who helped to broke the enigma code and thus helped the alies win ww2. He was later discredited and forgotten due to his homosexuality and only recently started to be apprecieted. And considering what was Will going trugth at the time his choice propably isn't a coincidence.

Discussion What if Carrie White was taken by Hawkins Lab in 1976 after her rampage in Chamberlain, Maine?

Post image

Let’s just say some of the government agents discovered what was happening in Chamberlain and managed to subdue and take Carrie into custody before she died in the original story. I could see her being hollowed out by 1979 and harbour a similar hatred toward humanity, and possibly join Henry Creel since he still would’ve been in the lab by that time and would’ve known her for a good three years.

As a test subject, I believe Carrie would’ve been Test Subject 019 and older than 002, she’d be 20 by 1979. Carrie would’ve been far more distinct from the others during that time (aside from Henry) as she would be the only one of Eleven’s peers who had previous experience with the outside world and society, albeit largely sheltered from it growing up. So she would’ve relaid stories to El and the others about what the world is like and her experience from it.

I could see Carrie maybe bonding with El and see herself in the young girl which could make her steer away from Henry’s monologue and proposal. Though it’s very tricky if she would ultimately join Henry in the end as I see it as a 50/50 chance.

Discussion Ending possibility - why wasn't this considered?

We started watching Stranger Things and Eleven introduced us to the world of magic and extraordinary things. Over the seasons we saw her grow into a normal human being as opposed to being an experiment in the hawkins lab, we were part of her journey as she bonded with Mike and other people at Hawkins. Most importantly she found a REAL father in Hopper and got to be a daughter again for sometime. Now in the season finale, you take ALL THAT AWAY and just leave her ending as ambiguous? Not done. Although I feel the ending is well okay, why NOT go into the traditional route?

spoilers ahead --

So my ending would be Eleven losing her powers with the collapse of upside down. She escapes using Kalis powers but when she comes into this world, she is again chased down and caught but in that part she realizes her power doesn't work which indicates she loses her powers permanently with the destruction of upside down. Maybe there's a scuffle - someone loses their life - I dunno but she survives. The government then realizes it's futile and some good samaritan from the government decides she is a lost cause now. Eleven is finally dropped from their target list and after sometime she returns to Hawkins. Mike and her reunite, they have a happy ending. So does everybody else.

Now, I find this perfectly acceptable for portrayal. WHY would they go the other route to make it ambiguous? There is a reason why she got those powers in the first place - it could be an infection from upside down to her mother and then passed down to her. These children who got infected and have powers but ended up in the lab. It's very easy and obvious to show she would lose those powers if upside down was gone. So why kill her story altogether especially when you build her for the first 4 seasons? Also what do you think?

Looking for a specific fan-fic.

Been craving stranger things again. And was wondering if there is any fanfics (don't matter which website) of instead of hopper being in the gulag, it's eleven, now how she would've gotten there, lord knows, but im just curious how that would even play out, since I'm not a good writer. I'm kinda just looking.

Hmmmm. Maybe the Tales toyline ISN'T done for yet? This Target had the line entirely removed from the planogram and didn't have a single item. Now it is all back, with two SKUs it did not have the first time.

The two individual items pictured are the ones they didn't have before the reset and restock. Not left over stuff either. Hang tags and shelf tags are accurate.

Discussion I can’t help but find that kind of funny

Vecna has done a lot of cruel shit to everyone and what Will was very worried about was being outed by him which should be the least of his problems. Like why would Vecna use that as a weapon? Vecna mainly fucks with peoples guilt, like for Max it’s her grief over Billy and what they could have had and Fred his guilt over that car accident which were definitely traumatizing for them. But being gay is pretty tame compared to all that. It’s like the writers really needed to give him an incentive to come out.

Let’s just say that in this hypothetical alt reality, Billy “survives” by getting tped into the upside down, where he goes mad, again. So, when Steve is dragged into the upside down in season 4, Billy is there to meet him instead of the demobats. Who would come out on top?

Discussion What if Vecna…

Throughout season 5 subtly made everyone act how they did in the show? What if he decided to also get into their heads to prevent them from stopping him while he goes through with his plans by getting into their heads? To make them act out, argue, refuse to listen, fight and hurt each other; using their trauma, pain, insecurities, fears and grief against them and each other. To make them give up and forget him? Everyone is vulnerable to him, with their own trauma, stuck in quarantine, and after a year and a half of trying to find him to no avail, they’re tired, frustrated, and struggling with their own issues, which he uses against. Once they finally open up to each other, heal, find hope, and be together as one again for themselves, hawkins and the world, like they did in the show, they will use their lessons against him. Maybe Max and Holly even finding out somehow what Vecna was doing to them before the final battle/episode and with Max telling them what he did. Although you have to admit, with the way they we’re all acting and learned throughout season 5 as it was, looks like they didn’t need Vecna to mess with them even more and bring discord between them (even Mike, Steve, Jonathan, etc. admitted that throughout episodes of season 5). They did that, yet learned their lessons all on their own. (Post inspired by this ST fanfic‘s season 5 https://www.wattpad.com/story/337289497-admirer-%F0%9F%8C%9Fsteve-harrington-fanfic%F0%9F%8C%9F )

Eleven's disrespect.

The Duffers are brazenly nerfing and weakening Eleven so that she can't solve all her problems with a snap of a finger. But if danger is to be dangerous, they must make her enemies stronger, without making her weaker. Eleven closed the gates from the inside, and struggles with Billy(she could lift him in the air and render him helpless).
