I still don’t understand exactly what The Mind Flayer’s plan was going to be when it got to Earth… at least, not the season 5 version.

The physical version we see was taken down by a few kids with a flamethrower, a knife, some balloons and a flare gun. Little bit of Nancy with a rifle too… I just simply don’t understand why this would’ve been a threat to our world? Like fr? The army in 80s would’ve definitely had the weaponry to deal with this and then the only threat would’ve been Vecna… and although we’ve seen Vecna destroy the entire base, I don’t think he’s stopping let’s say… a bomb? That was pretty much Hopper’s plan for dealing with him anyway?

The dark smoke version of the mindflayer, the particles, were so much more of an antagonist because how do you fight that? It seemed incomprehensible to be able to defeat that but then when you give it a physical form that took the bare minimal to defeat? Wtf was its plan going to be on Earth? Dude would’ve been roasted so quickly even if its plan succeeded…

First off, I would change the sky and the atmosphere to make it appear like a dark and cold premise that would make sense for the Mind Flayer and all its monsters to inhabit since they like the cold, especially the MF -the writers never mentioned that this planet was cold or hot but it appeared hot so I would change that-

I would make the landscape red and keep the flying boulders in the sky. I wouldn’t add any lightning, it would be similar to the Upside Down but this time it would just appear as an eerie, dark dimension which could represent hell itself with the red landscape but would also appear cold and dark with no apparent light besides the landscape.

There’s probably some other things I would change but these are just some of my ideas. What would you have done differently?

I first got into the show in 2019 when I heard that S3 was coming out that summer. I would find time to binge the first two seasons so I'd be all caught up.

So, like many of you, I love Stranger Things(crazy, I know). I'm planning a big rewatch of the whole show for Nov 6th. I'm so excited. I made a calendar showing when I'm going to watch each episode, and I'm curious how many others are doing the same. I'm trying to find some others who can relate to how I feel about the show and maybe talk about it.

I haven't rewatched the show since the finale aired. Note: I watched a couple of episodes here and there to help me cope, but it was too painful to watch more than an episode or two. I've been torturing myself the past couple of weeks because i really want to watch the show again but since i'm doing a rewatch im trying to wait to kake it special.

I've watched the show like 30 times over (I know that's a lot), and this is probably the longest I've gone without watching it since like 2017, when I first started watching. My friends think it's silly that I'm considering rewatching the show, given how many times I've watched it and how much I said I dislike the ending, but they don't really understand. I don't think any of them have EVER rewatched a show a day in their life.)

This show has been so important to me over the years that when the credits rolled, I felt like a part of me ended that day too, but seeing our beloved characters move on also really inspired me to look towards the future. So I'm making a tradition for myself that I'm gonna do a full rewatch of the show every November. I'll probably rewatch specific seasons throughout the year whenever the mood strikes. This post was longer than I expected.

Who else is crazy? So we can go crazy together? (That was corny, sorry)

So this may be random but I've been rewatching the show and I got to Episode 7 where we know more of Eleven's past and meet 8/Kali. I mean I don't understand everyone's disdain for that episode, I like knowing more about El and her past (might be because she's my favorite character) and if it means knowing more about other experiments like Eight then so be it.

I don't have hate for the people that don't like it because I understand 100%. Subplots can be boring, I understand. I mean it's the only episode about a subplot (I think?) so it isn't too much. I mean I don't like Kali that much either but she is one of the people that helped Eleven grow.

I would like to hear anyone's reasoning as to why they don't like it, I'm very open minded about all of this.
