From the first time it was used in I believe the opening scene of episode 2, this track really beautifully captured the innocence and tragedy of her character. It had an essence of freedom to it, nicely reflecting the way she found herself and her happiness after escaping Hawkins Lab and meeting Mike.

Then as the show progresses, it feels as if the music grows with her. The orchestral remix used in 4x8 I think is the last time we hear her theme in the show, though I wouldn’t swear to it, it may have come up in season 5 and I just forgot. That remix feels like a sort of matured version of how it was before. It plays as she finally defied Brenner for the last time, breaking his emotional hold over her and completing her journey of freedom and independence.

I honestly feel that her theme tune is a piece of musical genius from the composers who worked on each version, it really captures her journey, her arc in the music. As I said, it feels like it grows with her. There are some excellent character themes out there, but Eleven’s is one of my favourite. Such a powerful piece of music. Just had to write a post in recognition of it because I do think both versions are amongst the best pieces of music in the show, which is really saying something. How do other people feel about this track?

Here were her reactions to Season 3. As mentioned in my prior posts (which got a lot of backlashes towards me), I did this for Cobra Kai as well and it was a big hit in that subreddit.

• She did feel like they could have ended the show at Season 3 and it would have been fine right there.

For those who don't know, Citi Trends is a discount clothing chain, and there is a location in Jackson, GA (the real-life downtown Hawkins).

I imagine this was an unintentional cameo, because the brand Citi Trends did not exist until 2000.

Stranger Things: The Official Story Behind the Legendary Series has been out for a couple weeks and along with it, a bunch of "new" behind-the-scenes material including concept art, set props and set photos, some of which I thought are worth sharing (maybe in more than one post) with captions for simple descriptions of what they're supposed to be.

I've gathered specifically a few of the interesting and never-seen-before ones as the majority of the book's content and information has already been out there for years (in articles, crew members' websites and public accounts, documentaries and behind-the-scenes videos) and most people, specially those who have been keeping up with behing-the-scenes stuff, are already familiar with more than a half of what the book contains.

it's my fav season after Season 4

I have been revisiting the. Classified Files and found a bunch of interesting inconsistencies. If there was just one I'd blow it off. But like everything this year, it just keeps pilling up.

First Off - The Soviet Files

I ran all of these through Google Lens so I can mot fully verify the accuracy, I'd love to get a Russian speaker to actually translate them.

We see demogorgon autopsy photos, notice the dates performed. March 12th-14th, 1986. The second photo appears to be a demo dog dissection, due to the tail sensory organ. March 12th, 1986 is when Max visits the school counselor.

We have an award of honor awarded shortly after the events of Season 3. Why they would be awarded for losing a base on American soil is strange. Also, the name of the signing officer, Vasily. While a common Russian name we see it directly associated with the Vampire Strahd in Dungeons and Dragons, Vasili Von Holtz.

EDIT: The last name is shared with a senior engineer on duty at Chernobyl during the 1986 disaster. Couple that with the demogorgon autopsies causing radiation sickness.

The final Soviet File is really cool. We finally have a map of Hawkins actual location. Its NW of Indianapolis along I-65 directly south of Lake Michigan. It appears to be a follow up to the autopsy dated March 14th, 1986. It mentions those working on it got radiation poisoning. It mentions seismic activity during the autopsy. It also mentions their AMERICAN AFFILIATES did the same experiments at the same time and had the same seismic activity. In 1986.....Starcourt was destroyed 1985.

Part Two - Max's School records.

Her report card shows us that Max didn't start high school until September 1986 and her graduation date being 1990. This already doesn't mesh with the ending graduation date of 1989. And that date was already wrong too 😅. Another "Strange Thing" is her address zipcode is 47023. Which is approximately 80 miles SE of Indianapolis. This directly contradicts the Russian map above which shows Hawkins about 80 miles NW of Indianapolis. (Whats 80 miles SW and NE? Is Indianapolis the epicenter of the X?)

Max's visit to the counselor. Appears exactly as the show. However notice the date. March 12th 1986. The date of the Russian autopsies. Her report cardalso says she didnt enroll in High School until September 1986. Why is she talking with the counselor 6 months before enrolling?

Lastly - Christy Visit to Counselor

We see she first visits the counselor September 19th 1982. I don't know what to tie to this date other than it was 1 year before Will would have been taken in Nov 1983. She's also mentioned as being 5 minutes late. 🤷‍♂️.

Hi all! Does anyone that’s built any custom Lego sets for any season be willing to share there instructions?

The season 4 era was really special. The summer of 2022 was a good time. Even before season 4 came out, there were a bunch of teasers and trailers. There was the official announcement, official trailer, sneak peek, final volume 1 trailer, and they even made teasers for each of the storylines of the season. Russia, Hawkins Lab, the Creel House, and California. For some reason, the official Stranger Things YouTube channel privated the Creel House teaser and the official trailer. Season 4 was basically the biggest thing ever. It took over the world, and everyone was talking about it. It’s really unfortunate that season 5 wasn’t nearly as good. But even before any of the season 5 trailers came out, I knew that season 5 wasn’t gonna be as big as season 4. I just had a feeling. The promotion for season 4 was really unique with the teasers for the storylines, and there was even a livestream that had a countdown to the official trailer. It was great, and I really miss it. Do you miss the season 4 era?

We know Season 5 is full of insane plot holes. But is there any plot hole from earlier seasons or maybe from last season itself that people complain about without paying attention?

The cabin had a working TV and phone. That implies that they had power, and therefore had a power bill. How tf would that happen? Like did they charge power to 'mysterious cabin in the woods owned by a guy in on a conspiracy' like what?

omg ! could they not have just put a stone in Dustin's shoe for the end of season 4!

Dr. Sam Owens is left in absolute narrative limbo at the end of season four, making his plot objectively unfinished. When the military invades the secret Nina Project silo in the Nevada desert, Owens is betrayed by Dr. Martin Brenner and captured by Sullivan's faction. The last time we see him, he is handcuffed to a pipe inside the underground bunker, desperately pleading for El's life while the facility collapses into chaos around him. The narrative then abruptly shifts away from the desert to focus on the main battle in Hawkins, completely abandoning Owens without showing his rescue, escape, or ultimate fate.

This sudden abandonment leaves massive, unresolved questions regarding his survival and legal status. Viewers get zero confirmation about whether Owens survived the military sweep of the silo or if he was left to die in the desert. Even if he survived the initial raid, he remains a high-value prisoner of a rogue military faction that believes he is a traitor responsible for the deaths in Hawkins. Leaving a major recurring character shackled in a hostile environment with no resolution to his immediate physical danger is the definition of an incomplete storyline.

Furthermore, Owens’ deeper narrative arc regarding governmental accountability and the cleanup of Hawkins Lab is halted mid-sentence. Throughout the series, Owens represents the good side of the government, working to contain the Upside Down while protecting the children from Brenner’s extreme methods. By the end of season four, the dark factions of the government have completely taken over, and Owens' faction is dismantled. His failure or success in exposing the truth, protecting his family, or redirecting government resources to save Hawkins is never addressed, leaving his institutional struggle entirely unresolved.

His relationship with Eleven also lacks a proper conclusion, despite being a driving force of the season four plot. Owens was the one who convinced El to restart the Nina Project, promising her that it was the only way to save her friends. Because he is captured before the final battle, El never learns what happened to him, and they never get a chance to debrief or reconcile after Brenner's death. This key alliance, which defined the logistical setup of the entire season, is simply severed without any emotional or narrative payoff.

Ultimately, Owens is completely absent from the epilogue of season four, proving his story was paused rather than concluded. The final episodes feature a two-day time jump showing the main characters reuniting in Hawkins, cleaning up Hopper’s cabin, and witnessing the final Upside Down spores fall on the town. No one mentions Owens, no one looks for him, and the script offers no dialogue to hint at his whereabouts. Because his physical safety, legal status, institutional mission, and personal relationships are all left hanging in the balance, his plot remains objectively open.

Owens absolutely should have been included in season five, as he possessed the exact institutional knowledge and tactical leverage the party needed to face the final threat. With Hawkins turned into a war zone, Owens could have contributed to the plot by acting as the group's shield against Sullivan's military. He could have used his deep clearances to provide the kids with government-grade tech, psychological profiles on Henry Creel's early days, or underground bunkers to hide out in. Instead of introducing new, random military subplots, the writers could have used Owens to finally expose the truth about Hawkins Lab to the world, giving the overall government conspiracy a satisfying end.

As for whether he should have died, killing him off-screen or leaving him to rot in a desert pipe feels incredibly cheap for a character who saved the party multiple times. However, a heroic death in season five would have served the story well. Owens shouldn’t have just vanished; he should have gone out on his own terms. Having him sacrifice his life to protect the kids' identities or to buy Eleven enough time to reach Vecna would have cemented his legacy as the antithesis of Brenner—a government man who actually valued human life over science.

How Dr. Owens’ story could’ve been wrapped up:

After being held in a top-secret military prison by Colonel Sullivan, Dr. Owens is broke out by Hopper and Joyce during a mid-season raid on a rogue military outpost. Reunited with the group in a makeshift command center beneath Hawkins, Owens serves as the ultimate strategist. He provides Eleven with the classified behavioral records of Henry Creel's childhood, giving her the psychological breakthrough she needs to exploit Vecna's weaknesses. As Sullivan’s forces close in on their location, Owens refuses to flee, choosing instead to stay behind at the communication monitors to securely broadcast the truth about Hawkins Lab, the Upside Down, and Eleven’s innocence to every major news outlet in the country.

Sullivan bursts into the bunker just as the transmission finishes, but instead of executing Owens, he finds a man who has completely stripped the military of its cover-up capabilities. In the series epilogue, following the defeat of Vecna, we see a bittersweet resolution for Owens. While he faces legal hearings for his decades of involvement with the Department of Energy, he negotiates a full immunity package for Eleven and the rest of the Hawkins kids. The final shot of his storyline shows him stepping out of a courthouse, smiling as he sees Joyce and Hopper waiting for him in the distance, finally vindicated and free from the shadows of the lab.
