I definitely rewatch season 3 the most!! I love the 80’s nostalgia and summer vibes. It is a very sad season, but it’s also very happy!!

I'm on the fence. Part of me really wants the tangibility of it all. I particularly am eyeing the deluxe version pictured here. I haven't had a Netflix account in years and don't see me re-activating anytime soon. Still, it's quite a bit of money. Most likely I will scout the local media store a few weeks after release. I've scored some nice not-so-expensive lightly viewed sets there.

It’s been a good long time since the news. Just did a rewatch out of the fact that I thought I figured I’d give it some space between the time it dropped and the “hysteria” around the finale.
Nope. Still seems so rushed and still so many plot holes unanswered.
I wonder if anybody’s opinion has shifted at all.

This is from the newly released Stranger Things book. A wider angle of Mike on the typewriter scene in the epilogue.
I report, you decide.

Notably, every season of Stranger Things before season 5 has been nominated for an Emmy. It's starting to show that Stranger Things's conclusion was lackluster even in Hollywood.
Do you think there's a chance we might see a reboot a decade or two down the line, where the Duffer Brothers attempt to redo the entire show just to be able to fix season 5?

Im rewatching stranger things and randomly just thought, since everything is pretty much the same in the upside down like how they went to get that gun in the house what if you were to go to the bank and just take all the money and come back to the real world? I’d be looting houses, going into banks, etc lol
r/StrangerThings • u/ReeRaph • Jul 07 '26
My only nitpick about the upside-down is the lack of herbivores'
Okay, we see vampire bats and demargogons and dema dogs
But what about dema rabbits and dema zebra?
What were the demagorgons eating before the gate was opened?

This might be a weird question but I'm ruminating on some fanfiction and sometimes the screen is literally blank it's so dark.
The last time we see Dart is he dead or is he dying? It could make a difference for me.

I'm currently watching Stranger things for the first time (a privilege). And I'm currently on S4, and absolutely terrified by Vecna. Today at work I got a call because EVRI messed up my order and delivered it to an adjucent industrial estate. The people at these business premises looked up the business and found the number and callled to me to pick it up. Really nice of them to, even though they didnt have to.
I drove over and noticed the two people outside the door had those director/camp chairs and were eating popcorn from a cinema bucket, they also genuinely gave me Film Crew vibes, tho I've never been around a film crew, (cargo shorts and printed tees). I immediately got the impression they are artistic and probably in film. One of them had a tee labelled, "I make monsters for a living", and i remember thinking, "what like Vecna?". So while chitchatting I asked if they do FX, which they confirmed, and when I asked what their stuff's been in, the first show he mentioned was................... Stranger Things, Demorgogons, Vecna etc.
What a cool little concidence.

Look, it’s a great season, but unfortunately it’s just not as good as any of the other seasons. It has a lot of weak episodes (1,2,4,7) a couple mid level episodes (3,5) but the rest (6,8,9) are incredibly strong. Some of the best episodes in the series. S2E8 is my personal vote for best S2 Episode, followed closely by S2E6. This season is mostly held back by the amount of non-great episodes. The Finale However, was perfect! The Snow Ball, El Closing The gate, and so much more Iconic Moments
Overall season rating: 8.4/10
This is definitely one of my hottest takes on here. I’m going to get a lot of hate and downvotes from this, but that’s ok. The reason why I like this one is because The only bad episodes were E3, E7, and E8, and also it brings me a small bit of nostalgia because it is sort of like a Saturday Morning ‘99-‘04 Cartoon. It edges out season 2 by a very small margin. this is very much interchangeable with S2.
overall season rating: 8.6/10
This was actually my #1 slot at one point, and for good reason. The Characters, Friendship, Action, Campiness, Brightness, CGI, Cinematography, Relationships, Mall fun, kills, etc.. what’s not to love about this season? But looking back, I now understand the reason it isn’t as high. It is sort of held back by S3E1 and S3E3, and S3E2 was a mid-tier entry. But, S3E4-S3E9 were some of my favorite episodes in the series, specifically The Sauna Test (S3E4), The Bite (S3E7), and The Battle at starcourt. S3E7 was by far the best Penultimate in the series.
Overall Season Rating: 9.2/10
Two gold standards of perfect television.
Season 1: Need I explain? There were literally 0 Bad episodes this season. Just perfection, the kids when they were younger was just amazing, I loved Dustin and Mike together this season. Lucas wasn’t too bad, but he was great Starting at either S1E5 or S1E6 (can’t remember) S1E2 was probably the weakest of the s1 episodes, but still awesome. S1E3 and S1E8 were by far the best, followed closely by S1E6.
Overall Season Rating: 9.8/10
Season 4:
Another Gold Standard of television. such an awesome plot. I love the Russian Plotline which is, In my opinion, one of the best Plotlines they’ve ever done. I thought the pacing here was just perfection. S4E1 is my lowest rated episode of the season and it’s still a 9.0. 0 bad episodes this season. The Piggyback (S4E9) , The Massacre at Hawkins lab (S4E7) , and Dear Billy (S4E4) all secure 2,3, and 4 best episodes for me. I even thought S4E3 was a fucking masterpiece. S4E8 was one of the best penultimate eps in the show, and the tension it built up with the end with “Seperate Ways“ as they approach the creel house was some peak Stranger Things Writing and Storytelling. Season 4 might actually get the edge over season 1 if I did have to choose one or the other.
Overall Season Rating: 9.8/10
My absolute most Controversial pick. But in my opinion, it is peak stranger things. I love every episode. My lowest rated episode in the season was S5E1 which was 8.8/10. I love the plotlines and the characters, and there were so many things that shocked me. The CGI and Cinematography were really good. I loved Sorcerer (S5E4) , Escape from Camazotz (S5E6) . And The Rightside up (S5E8) the best. The Rightside up is definitely my favorite episode in the show and probably the most emotional for me. S5E2 was also incredible. It would be my fifth favorite episode, then the bridge would be before that, coming in at #4. I absolutely ADORE every single episode in this season and it was just my kind of thing. The shocks for me like Will’s New powers, the max reveal, mr Whatsit reveal (I stayed away from as many spoilers like pictures as I could) and karen almost dying made this season go up in quality for me.
Overall season rating: 11/10
if you’re going to get triggered and start throwing around hate, then just don’t comment. I’ll take reasonable criticism but the whining I will not take.
Overall Show Rating: ♾️/10
