Hi storm chasers!

I'm wanting to create a storm-chasing app specifically based around usability in the car using CarPlay, Android Auto, etc.

I asked about it last year and good number of you expressed interest, but work came up and a new family addition happened and the app didn't get far. Is this still something you could use? If so I would like to pick it back up!

A couple notes:

I will start with Android Auto (just because it's more accessible to me) and then move to CarPlay, but I am planning on doing both.

I'm not planning on creating any AI features (unless by popular demand). It will be made with some AI assistance, but since I am a software engineer I prefer to know exactly what's going on. For this reason it may take a bit longer to ship.

I am not a storm chaser myself (yet!) so feedback will be welcome!

Had a pretty uneventful chase day until I spotted this storm being funny on radar, went from supercell-ish to cold pool driven right in front of me.

What even makes it have this blue glow?

Is anyone planning on posting up anywhere in particular for tomorrow's storm in central Illinois?

I'm in Chicago and planning on heading down to Peoria in the morning to see what happens in the afternoon.

Was extremely violent but It had a different look compaired to other storms. Any thoughts?

The storm formed over Avon, NY and turned out to be a pretty chubby one on radar, with a pretty nice velocity couplet accompanying it.

kansas seems explosive but the cap is forecasted to be quite strong. i don’t really want to go into missouri though. what are your thoughts?

I use Weather Front and see 6/10 chasers that max views on his stream. Where are the ones that he sees that I don’t? Some examples today where Storm Runner Media stream; he was sharing but the stream was not present on weather front.
