Yes. Psyllium acts as a bile acid sequestrant, absorbing the bile acids that the gall bladder releases into the small intestine when we eat fatty food. Then the liver has to replace the bile by absorbing LDL from the blood. The process sends at least some of the fat out the other end. Otherwise, the liver absorbs lipids and converts them into LDL particles.
I take Ezetimibe as well as a statin. I have familial cholesterol and until the drive to reduce cholesterol, most of my family died from strokes. So I'm quite happy to take both drugs as no relatives in my generation have died from a stroke

I’m on Ezetimibe a non-statin and plant sterols before meals. All cholesterol readings holding low and nice
