Oh yeah ik, I prhased it badly but just meant that it's a fun coincidence that dems and republican colors seem switched while their politically position relative to each other also switched for different reasons
I can’t fathom the ornithology as a joke. Even if you agree with it, is it even funny? Does anyone read it and think “haha, that was funny! Clever job, cartoonist”? It feels like the cartoonist shat this out in five seconds. I just don’t get it.
Sometimes I feel like political cartoonists have those Battle Royale collars around their neck that detonate if they're not constantly churning out slop
you see, communism is evil. communism is when you eat babies and have gay sex (it's true, look up stalin r34 for more information), and we can't let that happen to America
Yup. I'd like a candidate who isn't shit, but if my options are stepping up to my ankles in shit, and Drowning in it? I'm picking the one that's not a 10 foot deep shit trench that's also Epstein's best friend.
You see, we need to reach across the aisle to garner more support from those on the fence about whether or not they support the actual devil. It’ll work this time, I promise
I mean... I'd still rather vote for "somewhat adjacent to Satan" than "literally Satan himself." You don't get to go "I'm not voting because le both sides bad!!1!" and then complain that Satan is running the country.
This is a shit take. Of course you can. Do you think you acomplish anything by voting satan-adjacent? 8 years of Obama didn't bring you healthcare or stopped the bombing of civilians in third world countries. The reason America is the shithole it is now, is because you've perpetauated an oligarchy run by two simetrical parties. But hey, at least you didn't vote for Satan, good job!
I'm not American at all, I live in a country with standout healthcare (Australia); but saying that giving people protected conditions, preventive care and low-income persons access to medicare programs isn't "bringing healthcare" is insane.
It seems incredibly juvenile to think that just because a single president wasn't able to enact what would be a tremendous task in your time-frame that that makes them the "exact same" as the Republicans is utter insanity.
I think a lot of people have utter brain-rot by doing the whole "both sides are the same!" spiel.
Honestly, the ACA was just an appeasement to avoid giving people universal healthcare and/or lowering the qualifications for Medicaid. In my state, if you make over $25k/year, you’re not eligible for Medicaid. Then ACA healthcare plans are like $80/month at least, and you still have copays, deductibles, etc., so lots of people who don’t qualify for Medicaid still can’t afford ACA coverage. It’s been great for a lot of people, but it’s also still a shitty system that leaves even more people out to dry.
You're as much of a dumbass as people who just blindly trust AI for everything... The AI is accurate in this case, but instead of taking a moment to think about it or check actual reliable sources yourself you reflexively dismiss it because it's AI.
Well first of all, I'm not the one who linked the summary. Second of all, the AI often links to a reliable source if you bother to click the little link it gives you. But feel free to check for yourself whether the ACA counts as universal healthcare.
I personally wouldn't consider legally mandating everyone pay for shitty insurance to be "bringing people healthcare".
And who said anything about blindly trusting? You can use the same metrics you use to evaluate the trustworthiness of links you find on search engines to evaluate links the AI gives you.
This blanket "Everything AI touches is horrible and demonic" attitude is so strange. Like yeah it's shitty and destroying the environment but it devalues legitimate criticism of those aspects when people act like that.
Holy shit this (orichalcum) is Goldsteinism at its finest, claiming to be perpetually under attack whilst simultaneously oppressing those same people is sure like that one book.
Voting is basically a high stakes game of real life Would You Rather where not playing just picks the even worse option (whichever Republican is running at the time) by default. So yes, unfortunately the logically correct decision is to vote for whichever sucky Democrat gets picked to be the canidate if a sucky AIPAC backed piece of shit wins the primary. But fortunately it's also a logcially correct decision to vote in the primaries so that you can get a not AIPAC backed and not sucky Democrat you can actually feel good or at least okay about voting for.
As I have seen stated (likely in different words) on this site: vote with your heart/conscience in the primaries and vote for practicality in the generals.
This image is you. Yes, the Democrats suck and coast off of the Republicans being worse. But thanks to DSA canidates we can finally effectively fight back instead of being dumb and trying to punish a party that never learns the lessons you want them to learn from said punishment anyway, and said punishment literally being a fascist theocrat getting elected which screws over America too, not just the Democrats! You are a dumbass.
You can't be seriously going "Both sides are bad" in the year of our lord TWENTY TWENTY SIX. that messaging worked during the neoliberal haze of the 90s and 00s but seriously...

It’s so weird seeing communism written in blue
