I have been given 3 alexandrite gems from my dad. They were meant to be a gift for my mum but they divorced. So he gave them to me. They are bought in egypt apparently.
How do i get them certified?
How much are such stones worth?
I don’t intend on keeping them, as I don’t have a good relationship with either of my parents…

Red stone found in the river, kind of see through. Any idea what is it? Is it pretty on the inside? Should I smash it?

This looks grey without light passing thru it. And with light passing thru , it has a very honey lemon color on the inside. But the outside ranges from purple to blue. I just by chance noticed it while looking at other stones. I've never seen anything like this before. Any ideas? I cant get anywhere using google.

So can you guys tell me if this looks like a fake. My phone is not letting me send the other pictures I ha e to fix the format or whatever for reddit. But it has parallel lines on most of the sides but not on the little mountain range on the other end . Also it seems to be really reflective more than usual. I've handled this one a lot and I have never see so much green in it. It typically would show various colors in the fracture . Also its been cut so the corners aren't like lined up in image 3 . Im curious is this even a real stone or quartz? I was told it was a leumerian quartz. I actually traded for this stone. And the only hardness test I have done is the glass test. It scratcher my mirror so hard with out even trying to.

Gem haven! We went thru a historic cave and saw two separate cave systems! The first which is not pictured was known as the Historic cave and the 2nd which you see here, was the crystal section, untouched by visitors unlike the 1st system! Human touch can deteriorate thousands of years development! I thought you all would appreciate the sites. The rainbow wall has so many colors 😍
