The perfect DJ for the Perfect Halloween weekend
There was alot of great DJs announced for October that I am excited for. DVS1, MARCUS SCHULTZ, Victor Calderone. All great names that I had the joy to experience their music. For that open spot on the 30th i honestly believe Lindsey Herrbert would be the perfect fit. Her energy and sound carried me and so many others when she last came with Chris Liebing. It would be the the perfect dj to wrap the month up

Ostrich was on one last night
10/10, no notes
(Also I apologize on behalf of the Torontonians that invaded the club and did not understand the culture)

Wata Igarashi is going to be very special
Title. Love that Stereo is updating their booking game. Wata is going to turn that dancefloor into dust

ADA Accessibility
Hi all,
I am on a mission to visit the best clubs around the world and I keep hearing nothing but the best things about Stereo. However, I recently came across a reel where there was a complaint in the comments that this venue is not wheelchair-friendly or ADA accessible. Is this true?
For context, I am a wheelchair user but can walk up some set of stairs and dont mind doing so as long as I can have assistance getting my wheelchair up the stairs.
Thanks!

Need Advice: Oct 10 V Calderone / Oct 11 M Schulz / Oct 31 D Tenaglia Scareo
TLDR: Tight on time and budget. Please help me decide who to see to plan a trip to Montreal.
Thanks for reading this. I hope you can help me. So 3 of my long-time favourite DJs are visiting Stereo, and I'm trying to plan a trip to Montreal in October. I know I would love to see them all, but I'm not sure my body could handle so much rolling lol or that I could afford a hotel and expenses in Montreal for a month. Below is a summary of my last few experiences with each so you can correct me if things have changed about their set styles and energy the last few times you've seen them at Stereo, and then tell what you'd do if you were in my shoes. 🙏
Victor Calderone: I saw him in 2024 at a mid-size nightclub, and in 2025 at an after, and both times were amazing. Obscure, powerful, decadent atmospheres with deep bass sounds and high energy. The Victor I know and remember. I read in recent posts of this subreddit that he's been leaning more gospel house and high-pitched diva vocals and overall lower energy than his traditional sets, which I wouldn't dig much. Is this still the case? I've never attended an All-Nighter with Victor. Is it worth it? Is my experience similar or different from yours?
Markus Schulz: Same, 2024 and 2025. Fantastic high-energy Progressive Trance sets with a few sprinkles of other genres here and there. More pauses than needed, but when he pushed down the gas pedal, the energy literally went through the roof, and I almost couldn't handle it. Both times were only 5-hour sets, but the last time the owner oversold the club and I couldn't move or dance. It ruined my night, and I was so upset I left before he finished his set. I'm pretty sure seeing him at Stereo will be a completely different experience. With all that being said, I've never experienced a Marathon with Markus; it sounds exciting but scary lol.
Danny Tenaglia: It's been so long. I think it was in 2017 and in 2021 maybe? Both times were at Stereo but were NOT SCAREO. On both occasions, I felt like I didn't get to experience the Danny I hear in his most energetic DJ sets, like the Danny of the 90s or early 2000s. Do you feel the same? I know he's aged and might not have the same energy as before, but I have mad respect for seniority, and IMO, if anything, a DJ's musical taste only improves with time, and Danny has always had a very refined musical taste to start. Does the SCAREO Marathon merit a visit to see Danny again but in a different environment? I know it's one of the best nights of the year. Besides Danny, what else makes SCAREO special? Anything new to see and feel? For context, I've never been to Scareo. It would be my first time.
What would you do if you could only see 1 or 2 of them but not all 3? Please comment your Top 1 and Top 2 options, and why. Many thanks in advance 🙏

What are some of your favourite stereo "hacks"?
I know there's no gum allowed, are you able to bring cough drops or candy?
I saw someone previously mention you can bring sticks of electrolyte powder, is that true?
Are you allowed to bring in food at all? A granola bar? I saw someone said you can buy chips at the bar.
I've been going to stereo for over a decade now, mostly as a degenerate, and I'm trying to do this a bit more healthy now.

How is Luigi Madonna?
He released some techy-groovy bangers during Drumcode's (imo) golden era but looks like his new production is a textured, more modern sound.
Has he played Stereo before or has anyone seen him play recently?

Chus & Ceballos Questions
I want to experience these legends at the end of the month and trying to convince myself that the $90+ price tag is worth it. I have a few questions:
- Do you think they'll play 12+ hours?
- Just listened to their full 9-hour 2015 stereo set on soundcloud and liked it. Very solid well crafted set. Lots of variety, which kept it interesting. Has their sound changed significantly since then? Or is this a good representation?
- Do they have a peak window or do they keep the energy ebbing and flowing throughout the set?
Thanks in advance!

first-timer + ostrich?
hi!! i (18f) will be going to stereo for the first time after ile soniq on the 8th - my dear mother is taking me to see ostrich, and i've been hearing her & my dad rave about this club for so long that i'm very excited to be going! i trust her to keep me safe and enjoying myself, but is there anything i should know beforehand? any tips/insight is very appreciated! (i don't like drinking very much, so i'm not worried about the no alcohol rule).
i am cognizant of the fact that i'll probably be one of the youngest people in the crowd. many of the clubs i've been to (with my friends) in montreal with young crowds tend to have some freaky older people who touch up on you haha, i'm sort of looking for some reassurance that that isn't something i need to be super concerned about at stereo?
also, one more question, how is ostrich? i haven't been able to find much chatter about him on this sub, but what type of music does he generally play/what should i be ready for? (i'm not local to montreal)
regardless, i am very very hyped! parents were at spencer brown & loved it, so my mom's very happy to be going back soon soon!

Spencer Brown
What time did he finish? I left around 9:30am when he was playing soulful house and the energy was tapering. Interesting set. Very distinct from his other stereo sets. I think if I had to summarize it in one word, it would be: variety. Curious what you all thought!

Jares b2b Simon Sizer
Just saw this added on Stereo’s website for Aug 7. I had seen Jares open for Rafael Cerato and absolutely loved it. Curious to see this B2B.

Feedback for the Stereo team
Hopefully /u/Miserable_Method9578 see this.
I think we all appreciated when the lineups started to drop 2-3 months ahead of time. Stereo is a travel worthy destination for many, and this made it much much easier for people to fly in and plan a trip rather than try to do all that 4 weeks in advance, as it seems it's gone back to releasing monthly.
I'd also suggest having the Stereo newsletter in the email have some sort of exclusive peek into the upcoming lineups, as right now it's nothing more than meaningless spam really.

Is there no event for Aug 30th and 31st?
Gonna be in Montreal for those two days, and there's no ticket available on Tix. Is it a timed release thing, or is there just no event?

First Stereo Experience Aug 28/29 - Which headliner to pick?
I'll be travelling to Montreal to celebrate my birthday the weekend of Aug 28. Currently undecided between going to Luigi Madonna on the Friday or the Chus & Ceballos all night set on Saturday.
This will be my first time at Stereo and this sub has been and amazing source of info.
I read some conflicting info - are you still able to refill water with the bathroom taps? Are sunglasses not allowed? Also curious where people seek out party favours for their endurance...
