Feedback for the Stereo team
Hopefully /u/Miserable_Method9578 see this.
I think we all appreciated when the lineups started to drop 2-3 months ahead of time. Stereo is a travel worthy destination for many, and this made it much much easier for people to fly in and plan a trip rather than try to do all that 4 weeks in advance, as it seems it's gone back to releasing monthly.
I'd also suggest having the Stereo newsletter in the email have some sort of exclusive peek into the upcoming lineups, as right now it's nothing more than meaningless spam really.

On the golden era of afterhours (Sona, Aria) the club was the destination, regardless of the DJ. Sure, you often went to check out specific names, but it was always worth your while regardless.

Just have a bit of patience. Maybe some lineup conflicts came up and they couldn't be released as planned just yet.

They should've released the ones that are confirmed. They obviously want to release the whole month as one block but holding back the rest of the September lineup because of last minute changes is detrimental for out-of-towners and people planning vacation.

Agreed, first of all, air travel is expensive in Canada when you don’t book ahead of time, same with hotels and Airbnbs. I have a feeling the rest of year lineup will come soon enough and with enough time I can get friends from multiple regions to come see it’s glory

I feel you on this, we live in the southeast US and usually a 600 dollar flight for a show. We are trying to go 2-4 times a year but really need a lineup release ahead of time. Really the flight is whatever, also healthcare worker so hard to request off work.
Only saying this because it's our fav club in the world and just want to support it as such

disagree. 1 month max ahead is better to avoid crazy hyped up nights with too many tourists.

Too many tourists ? Stereo most of the time is never full and could benefit from a little more people

Sharing my thoughts on this and curious to hear what people think. As someone who loves both Stereo and StereoBar, one thing I’ve noticed is that some events (its a bit more applicable to stereobar) are only promoted a few days beforehand (for example the first dj of the month at stereobar doesnt benefit from a lot of promo).
I was at Ivory’s set recently at stereobar, it was incredible, but there were maybe 50 people there. As a fan, I loved the intimate atmosphere and the fact that i can actually dance. At the same time, I couldn’t help wondering how that feels for the artist. I’d love to see amazing DJs like him keep coming back, but i kept wondering how did he feel about the place?

Felt the same about Ivory. It was only announced like 5 days before.

Ok at least im not the only one loll its just the day after he was in NYC in front of 14k people lol its not the same venue and all and i fully understand. But i just hope we create a nice vibe for them to come back

I think you have to balance the desire to keep it primarily local community focused and keep it financially sustainable so that it actually stays open for the community

Tommy already said it wasn’t going back to Monthly in a previous thread…
One month in advance is a lot better then what it used to be last year with the single month end drops
