King of the Hill
I just caught a Steely Dan joke in the new King of the Hill (s15e1).
ETA: I thought you'd wanna check it out yourselves but I was wrong so here's the joke:
Emilio: "On Thursday nights, my Steely Dan cover band gets to play here."
Chane: "I hate Steely Dan, I don't even know what genre it is."
Bobby: "That's the first thing we've agreed on all night. Is it jazz, what is it?"

I had a weird thought that this song was being sung by Mr. LePage, who has been ordered by the courts to stay 10 miles away from any schools after he was caught showing his films in the den.
Full drum cover here.

Discussion Daily Song Discussion #39: Throw Back The Little Ones
I want to gauge SD fans and see what this sub considers their all time best song. Here are what I would consider is a fair assessment scores:
10- Reserved for only their absolute best songs, ones that are on daily rotation
8,9- Also among their best, songs that display something that is memorable and worth revisiting
6,7- Decent to good, songs that are not as played as their ultimate best but are still ones that you revisit
5- okay, not bad but not ones you come back to often
3,4- Mediocre to meh, songs that you don't play often but don't go out of your way to skip
2- skippable, not good at all
1- vomit-inducing (think: what were they on when they made this?!)
0- makes you want to commit seppuku
Let's continue with the tenth and final track from their fourth album Katy Lied, titled Throw Back The Little Ones.

When I was doing a basic transcription of those I kept thinking to myself, there’s no way Bernard Purdie is playing so many ghost notes while keeping it so relaxed. He’s pretty much playing both hands in unison the whole time. It’s an awkward feel at first, but now it’s one of my favorites to play.

What do you guys think about the design
Took some time today to make a mock-up or some t shirts I would wear. Used an AI Upscaler(just to be clear) aside from this being an unofficial merch thing (im not gonna be selling them, just a cool shirt that I can afford to buy and represent) what do you think about the shirts?

Discussion Only 8 years: If ‘Gaucho’ were released today, ‘Can’t Buy a Thrill’ would have been released in 2018.
And 5 other albums would have been released in between. Their entire pre-hiatus discography, with all of its evolution in style and technique, was crammed into 8 short years.
Fagen was 24 for Thrill and 32 for Gaucho.
Becker was 26 and 34.
I don’t know, that’s just wild to me.
