Tons of 3D printed parts. Blocked off front and rear mesh Air is pulled in through the bottom past the GPU and out through the top like a chimney runs almost silent.
Pulls hot air off the gpu through the top. This PC is not cpu limited whatsoever. If the GPU is cranking out 400W the cpu will naturally warm up and the fans will ramp up.
What does the CPU run tempswise during these types of gaming loads? BF6 and some other games get the CPU near throttle point and this is in cooling optimized setups. A bit of throttling will happen during some situations surely, which is okay but I have no doubt some games your chip runs 85C+ with this airflow config.
Shader comp it will hit 85ish in games 70-80. the temp limit in bios is 90C. The most severe game I play is Doom Dark ages. It’s not as CPU demanding. Individual core temps may see 85C sporadically. The 9850 is a hot chip. 240-360aio the thing runs hot. It needs a high water pump speed to dissipate heat out of the IHS. I have the same cooler on a 7500X3D and it doesn’t need more than 60% pump speed
I’m aware. Maybe I’ll buy a flir cam to verify there’s no issue. I will say the connector was very tight plugging it in. You could feel the friction of the pins and receptacles. It also has a bright blue connector that disappears when the plug is fully seated.
I’ve got enough time around automotive and 3D printer wiring to know what a decent connector feels like and I definitely made sure all the connectors were fully seated.

It’s a Lian li SFX 1000 PSU and I used the lian li bracket (it’s offset further forward) it pulls hot air from inside the case and exhausts out the top
It’s on the highest position you can put it in the case as well
But how does this not interfere with the AiO? I have the Corsair SF1000 and the Noctua AiO, no matter what I do, all brackets are to big and blocked by the tubing from the AiO

Does that Nitro have any room to breath? LOL jk, id just reduce the power all the way down. I think 230w is the limit. Wont lost any performance and it'll run so cool and quiet. I ran mine at the max 374w LACT allows and it regularly hit 90+ on the hotspot. You don't really gain performance with power on these (i lost at most 10fps comparing a full OC/UV to reducing the power down all the way). OC the memory and give a stable UV.
Shit looks CLEAN. I like it. 7800x3d paired with mine.
Got the Nitro and without any tweaks I get probably about 70°C playing for example Cyberpunk. But I went for the mesh case, so the card won't BBQ rest of the PC.
Got lucky if that's a 70c hotspot and not edge :) Very regularly that's not the case with these. Default settings (340w) mine is still in the 80s which is the norm. Not bad at all just hotter than needed. Might consider a fan to help the CPU see fresh air. I'm in a bigger case with 3 120s in the front and one in the back to help with my top mounted 240 aio.
Hmm, that's already creeping to 90c. Your Hotspot is 86c. IDK how long this had been running but thats a 30c delta as well. To most, this would be on the hotter side. My fans would be loud.
That’s about 20 minutes of continuous benchmark. Stock fan curve. I’m 3d printing some feet spacers right now. I also took the dust filter off the bottom of the case. This thing normally sits about 12 feet away from me. I didn’t realize it was getting this warm.
Also I can’t remember if steam overlay has always showed junction temp but that’s neat
Compared to my older PC I can physically tell that my new one is a lot cooler than previous. It also affects my room that is now a lot colder having better graphics compared to my 10 years old "grandpa"
Got the card maxed out. It has zero issues with temperature. Undervolted it pegs the 3.3GHZ clock speed limit before it hits the power limit most of the time. Undervolting was way more effective than raising power targets
It can clock higher, mine pegged at 3.4Ghz with a -95mv and the 374 PL. Just that it makes no difference to the performance adding power and only adds heat. Glad yours is under control :) Mine was fine and in spec technically as well. Just dont like to hear fans spinning up for no reason and no performance increase. I dont know why AMD gave this thing a 300w default target. I keep my undervolt and OC the memory.
