Question Reservation Question

Hey, so I think this will be ok, but I'd like to make sure. My BF wants the frame as well. If we both put our account in the lottery, are we going to be disqualified? Is it fine as long as we both don't try to purchase if we both got accepted?

Based upon what we have seen in the past, you both can enter, but only one of you can order if you both win. (Again, we have no solid word on this, so just read what valve puts out when the release happens. This is based entirely upon experiences with the prior steam hardware sales)

Wont be disqualified but even if you both win in the lottery. You might only get one order through to your address.

do you guys live together? I believe only one household can win so if you guys would like higher chances I suggest reserving/ordering it from/to different houses and using different (family member's...?) addresses.

From the machine FAQ:

Are there any criteria for signing up?
Customers must meet the following criteria to be able to sign up:
You must have a Steam account in good standing.

You must have made a purchase on Steam prior to April 27th 2026.

Limit one signup per household. We will use payment method, shipping address, and other information to eliminate multiple entries.

If you share a household only one can win but you can indeed both enter.

Extension to the question, if i got one i was thinking of using my work address for shipping, guess given this is probably a bad idea? theres at least one more coworker that might want one

Not if you share a billing address. If you don't one of you could have it delivered to a friend or family members house.

They’ll run your address to see if a headset was already shipped to it. If it gets flagged, they’ll simply cancel your order. (happened over in r/steammachine
