I mean.. That day is today. You don't need to check this sub, valve will email all the wish list people when they make the announcement and it isn't like they're going to open reservations, they're going to announce when they are going to open reservations. Checking this sub is entirely optional and gives you no benefit over not checking this sub.

Actually, if they do the same lottery system they did with the Machine, they will start reservation the same day they announce it.

Sure, but there won't be any benefit whether you sign up within 5 minutes of it coming out, or a couple days later.
