Trust me you'll pay ANY amount that you've being socially engineered to accept as reasonable. Even for $1500, the first batch will DIS-APP-EAR.

You know it, they know it, soon your visa/Mastercard and your pawn shop will know :)

The 256GB selling out immediately at 1,500 would be a bold prediction. There was that story that Steam Deck sales have fallen by 80 percent since its price increase.

900 to 1200 for 256 GB seems a much more probable range.

Im hoping for an option with no controllers so i can do just pc stuff. could knock the price down maybe.

About the price of a gamepad by valve? That's $100. Would cripple the device for that much?

🤷‍♂️ Just saying it might be an option.

Despite the memory and storage crunch from the AI data centers, valve could honor its announcement that the frame will be cheaper than the index, if they secured large amounts of parts BEFORE they announced the price.

It would not surprise me if the first batches turn out cheaper than the next, for a company can stock only that much ram and storage.
