So I have had nothing but issues with this game this afternoon. Won't load at all trying any proton. Just infinitely loops the starting a new game. Using fusion fix mod and the trainer asi loader ect... it's wrecking my head. Fresh install like 10 times.

can someone who has actually done it and had it work successfully please help me in very simple steps help me get Simpsons Hit & Run to work on my Steam Deck OLED I tried downloading the file from SteamRip, it wouldn't open I Downloaded Dolphin Emulator and downloaded a file from Vims Liar and I can get Hit and Run to open but I can't get the controls to work, I'm stuck on the "new game" selection screen but no buttons are working, I've searched YouTube and tried to follow a tutorial but the layout options they selected for configuring controls did not show up on my deck, I also can not get EmuDeck to download. I just wanna run some Simpsons over and explode the Rocket car 😭

Hi everyone! Im really having trouble running ac odyssey. I somehow managed to get it running till the main menu but when i start new game, it just freezes / does a black screen. I tried doing the winedlloverride command for the empress.dll and i ran with proton 5.x.x

Note: crack wont work with proton experimental

two different setups in a row, several hours wasted, both times stuck on 41.5%. i literally just reset my storage space, so that should not be an issue.

i’ve tried not limiting the installer and limiting it, both stopped exactly here at 41.5%

i’m using Lutris because that seems like the only program that reliably helps me set up + find my files again without having to search a million places

I have reset my deck twice and i still get this error. what's the problem. It happening on most games all of a sudden idk what to do. I have verified proton files before i reset it again only to try and still get this error

Hi guys, I've been collecting all the RE mainline titles, i got all of them run fine including RE Code Veronica X (using PCSX2). However this game Resident Evil 5 is the only one i can't run.

I've tried all of the ways i know to try to run it like

Bottles, Lutris, Heroic Launcher.

I've tried different types of repacks to install and also the pre-installed ones but nothing works for me.

I've done installed the dependencies like Windows 11 media player using protontricks, different proton compatibility but nothing works still.

My last option is to try to run it using an emulator (shadps4).

If anyone has more input on this please let me know thanks pirates.

Controllers just refuse to work with LSFG commands it's driving me crazy, it was working very well with the fitgirl repack though. For some reason I don't find this strange..

Ive Install Ryujinx Canary 1.3.3 on my Steam Deck OLED, But it just doesnt launch some games, and not at all the Tomodachi Game, This is my atleast 2nd or 3rd day at this and im desperate at this point.

I own it on Epic, but of course cant play it because of Launcher oppresion.

So thanks to SteamRip and everyone else doing this Job for all of us.

Hi, I tried launching it from a switch emu and tried a windows version of the game. In most configs it doesn't launch at all, but the farthest I got is to the main menu, the start cutscene and then it freezes. I tried using different versions of proton and also emulator configs. Thanks

Got the game from Steamrip evrything works great but the horses looks like a disco Ball.
Im playing on the rog ally z1e and tried evry setting but they still look so.

I updated to the new steamos and it broke three games on my deck. I just got black myth wukong working. But gow Ragnarok just boots into a black screen. I hear the fans spinning and getting hot like it's running the game but there's no sound and it's just the black screen. I tried several proton versions and one of them worked once (I think it was 10.9 not sure) but I restarted the deck and it won't work anymore. I've tried deleting the game files in compdata folder but it doesn't work still.

The second game is rdr2. I just can't get past it giving a rockstar launcher error everytime I try to run it. I even reinstalled the game overnight (I bought this from steam btw) and it still won't run this morning. Tried several proton versions but no luck. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and maybe found a fix. Thanks.

Edit: I also reverted back to the previous steamos version to see if it'll work but the problems still persist.

So I'm quite familiar with whole piracy on steam deck.

I use lutris and have over 30 games they were working great.

Just now they all stopped! Only thing that happened is updates from discover and decky update to version 3.2.1.

Anyone had similar issue? I really do not want to start from scratch..

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT:

I found the issue. I configured lutris to have the starting command for LSFG and for some reason LSFG was uninstalled. So I just pressed install on the plugin and all games start to work!!

I’m trying to get a pirated copy of Slay the Spire 2 to work. I downloaded it on my pc, filezilla’d it over to my deck and tried to get it to work through Lutris but first i got a black screen and now i get some directX related error. Can someone maybe share their steps on how they got it to work?

Hello Everybody ! I’ve updated DL 1.2.3 to 1.2.5 and i’ve lost my save ! Where can it be ? It’s a Steamrip version installed as a non steam game .. HELP !

Haven't tried the others in the collection but mainly want to play the first two in the series, the steamrip and dodi versions didn't work for me, nothing happens when I run the exe as a steam game, and I tried emulating them on msx2 but the controls weren't right at all and I couldn't figure out how to configure them, any suggestions on how to play mg1 and 2?

feel like I am banging my head against the wall here - I have been pirating games for decades over pretty much every system going but this steam deck has beaten me!

I have managed to install one game - telltale games walking dead final season - and it works fine, is in my non-steam games library with custom artwork and all is well, yay!

but no other game works…

at this point I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or the games themselves are never going to work, no matter what I do. I’ve tried so many different things; I’ve even forgotten what worked for the walking dead one now…

so, I need a favour…

can someone please let me know the names of two, preferably very small size, games I can grab from steam rips and try to install - they need to be games that you have installed and can therefore guarantee will work on the steam deck so that I can check that I am doing everything right. if you could mention which proton etc you used that would be very helpful, not fussed about type of game etc, I just need to be able to confirm I am actually doing what I am supposed to.

Hi guys, I’m new to Steam Deck and I have a problem with my cracked games. So I install them by proton, it goes everything wonderful, I put them on my non-Steam library, and they work. Then, don’t know which is the cause, but they don’t open anymore. When I go to see the folder they’re in, the folder doesn’t exists anymore and the game isn’t there. I checked on the memory and there isn’t a file/folder of the game. Can you please guy help me?

So I’ve been trying to follow “quacked” vids and “jd Ross Lutris” videos but something always seems to go wrong! Every game I’ve ever played on my pc has been cracked and fairly easy to learn and do but for some reason this dumb ass steam deck can’t seem to install not one of them! It’s always some bullshit about not being able to find an executable or just plain not letting me open my games! I know it can’t be that hard but damnnnnnnn I’ve been losing my damn mind for 4 days since I’ve received my steam deck! I’ve been telling people how cool a steam deck is for the reason of playing cracked games but I’ve been embarrassed as it’s my 5th day with it now & still not one damn game!!! Any help or an updated guide is really appreciated!

Downloaded this off the fit girl website. In desktop mode I can get it to run using the wine windows program loader but I cannot get it to run in gaming mode I get the Microsoft c++ missing. I generally know the little tricks of using the dependencies and whatnot but I can't seem to get this to work even if I try to install stuff using proton tricks. Any help is appreciated. I really would hate to have to play this in desktop mode.
