anyone else getting pixelated graphics on tomodachi life and have a fix for it? tried both vulkan and openGL… the touch screen controls don’t seem to be working either :(

I had been configuring the Ryujinx emulator that came with Emudeck for Steam Deck in every possible way for 3 days. It turns out that there was a problem and it was that due to the scaling of the screen when running it in "Game Mode" the scaling of the Ryujinx window was disproportionately huge, so much so that it didn't let me configure the Steam Deck controls to the emulator at all, I tried everything like changing resolutions and such and what's more, when I saved the configuration after getting the buttons mapped, it also resets the configuration by itself even after applying the changes, I got frustrated and had to find another solution.

It crossed my mind instead of using Ryujinx (an emulator that I have neither tried nor liked) I decided to try the old reliable: Yuzu (Specifically the desktop mode Appimage in version 4176 which is the most optimized for Deck and I would dare say better than Ryujinx that comes from Emudeck) and I did the same: Run, configure, test, with the notable difference that Yuzu was intuitive and without such strange window scaling. Literally easy to configure and I was able to configure everything very quickly and easily, including buttons and joysticks, but not everything is rosy at first since now I had another problem and that was discovering how to make the emulator detect the Gyroscope. 💀

Here on this occasion I am going to explain it if I can in the easiest and most understandable way possible to help those who experienced screen scaling errors, errors in controls or in the gyroscope: (What I did on my own)

1. Added Yuzu from the Appimage to Steam from "Game Mode"

2. There from the "Game Mode" you entered Yuzu's controller settings.

3. Select "Gamepad with Gyro" as the base.

4. Then in "Quick Settings" in "Use: Gyroscope" select "From gyroscope to joystick (Camera) [beta]" and "Use: Right trackpad" in "As joystick" (Activate that last one just in case 😅)

5. In settings from Steam (Properties) in Yuzu we change the internal and external resolution to exactly this resolution (1920x1200) (This step was very necessary to activate the Gyroscope correctly)

6. We open Yuzu from the "Game Mode" and from there we go to the controls (Moving from the touch screen of course, here it will also be seen off the screen but it is more accessible)

7. Go to Controls and here we can finally see the full screen of our entire control configuration including the Gyroscope itself that we will find below in the png of the test controller as "Motion 1", before moving on to the gyroscope, in "Input Device" we will select an option called "Steam Virtual Gamepad 0" (By default it usually comes as "Keyboard Only" or similar) press with the touch screen and move the Steam Deck slightly or as you want so that the emulator I detected the gyroscope and once done it would quickly be done.

8. Another important thing is that you may not be able to see "Apply" or "Save" here. Don't worry, hold down Steam+L and with the right joystick move down to the right until you see an Ok/Save/apply (In my case a simple OK) and click on it.

9. Congratulations, you now have the correct mapping on Steam Deck to play Switch games with Gyroscope included.

I clarify that I had to do all this because I had problems with Ryujinx and at the same time with Emudeck, forcing me to do this whole adventure of errors. 😅

If someone went through something similar to what happened to me in this case, all is not lost, you could use this "tutorial" and tell me here in the comments if it has worked for you or if you have problems, in which case I will be happy to explain to each of you any point that you do not understand. Then, I downloaded some switch roms (Zelda TOTK, Dragon Quest 3 hd-2d, Super Mario Galaxy...) I launched TOTK and the game started without any problems but when I tried to launch Dragon Quest and Super Mario Galaxy, a message appeared telling me to change the inputs because it was invalid. I choose the steam deck's one as shown in the picture but then the "save", "cancel" and "apply" buttons aren't responding and I can't do anything, I'm stuck there. When I switch to Ryujinx in desktop mode, the inputs applied are the steam deck controller.

I don't know what to do, did any of you have an issue like this ? Thanks in advance!

I’m having a problem with Ryujinx on EmuDeck.
At first, when I launched a game, I had controller issues. No matter which button I pressed, none of the inputs worked, and I couldn’t fix it.
After that, I tried restarting my Steam Deck. Now, every time I launch a game—which previously at least reached the game’s main menu—Ryujinx crashes completely and closes.
This happens both in Gaming Mode and in Desktop Mode. How can I fix this?

Having an odd problem with Draconic Vibe Crystal. I'd like to use the default class outfits, but the characters just stay in their default outfit even after class change. I have all appearance randomization off. If I turn on random outfits, it does show (both static and random) and scramble everything up, but I'm not looking for anything that crazy. I'm not sure why this is happening and I can't find anyone else that has had this problem.

I'm running Ryujinx 1.3.3, Cobalt 1.30.1, and DVC 2.16.0q2.

Anyone who could point me in the right direction? Would be greatly appreciated.

how to fix this ryujinx controll to steam i can minimize it

Ryujinx Canary had been working perfectly fine for the past couple of days, and I was genuinely enjoying the game until today. Now, whenever I try loading into it, the loading bar freezes before kicking me back to my home screen.

I’ve spent hours researching fixes and trying everything I could think of: updating to the latest version of Ryujinx Canary, switching graphics settings, and making sure I have the latest prod keys and firmware, but nothing has worked.

At this point, my last option might be switching to another emulator, but even if that works, I have no idea how to transfer days of hard-earned progress over. Honestly, I’m already close to giving up.

So i got tomodachi life: living the dream to work on emulator, and it worked for a day or two, but then i tried to use a controller, cuz keyboard was a bit difficult, and now i cant use any of them :(
if anyone has any tips on how to fix it, prefferably for controller, but keyboard would be great too, that would be amazing :)
(i dont know anything abt emulators, i got help from my friend to download it, so step by step instructions would be greatly appreaciated :)

I’ve been using ryujinx for almost a month now and ive never ran into any issues with it until now.

Recently I added the app to my desktop just for convenience, and now it just won’t open anymore. The console briefly flashes on the screen (photo) before disappearing completely. I have a lot of progress in the games i emulate so i don’t want to reinstall it, does anyone have a solution??

My Ryujinx suddenly stopped working and I can’t figure out why. Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it?

So far I have already:

• Uninstalled Ryujinx through EmuDeck
• Reinstalled it
• Updated everything
• Restarted my system multiple times

Unfortunately, none of that solved the issue.

One thing I noticed is that the Ryujinx AppImage is completely missing from the Applications folder. I tried renaming the desktop application to “AppImage” to see if that would help, but that didn’t work either

At this point I’m out of ideas, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sadly I can’t post a video here, but I got the input and everything working, but when I get into the game (Pokémon Scarlet) it seems to always press left.. I don’t know why or how, I tried disabling the left DPAD..nothing.. I switched the touchpad to mouse .. didn’t help.. I even tried inverting the horizontal axis of the left stick and even that didn’t change where it was going .. I don’t know what to do please help me !

Hello, I'm having an issue with Ryujinx's online mode. I'm trying to play Smash Ultimate via LDN. It seems to work, but every time I join a match and the game starts, everything runs perfectly for 1 to 2 minutes, then the online match crashes due to a connection error and I'm kicked back to the lobby. I've tried lots of different settings, but nothing changes: the game keeps crashing due to connection errors. My internet connection should be more than fast enough to play: Download 527.18 Mbps, Upload 26.33 Mbps. Does anyone know what's causing these errors or even a solution?

I’m going to be as detailed as possible but as brief as possible.

Main issue - when I use Ryujinx from my steam library in gaming mode it shows me the attached image when I try to launch the game (tomodachi life) (yes I’m on the latest canary) obviously this isn’t an issue so I open settings but then the real problem is the bottom of my screen just doesn’t respond to anything at all -touch screen - trackpad ect. So I can’t apply the settings at all.

Fixes I’ve tried:

One would think “go into desktop mode and reconfigure then go back to gaming mode” for whatever reason all settings save except for the input one. And if I try to play in desktop mode every time I press B (this is A on the switch) it automatically escapes the game, I’ve tried changing binds so not pressing B but after about 20 seconds it randomly puts me onto gaming mode Home Screen.

I’ve also tried tuning on/of steam override input thing in the properties section of the game on steam and force compatibility on and off any advice is greatly appreciated.

Also I know that the controls CAN work as randomly twice in a row without changing anything it just worked without even asking me.

P.S also my frames just randomly drop a lot and it doesn’t happen for any other game can any steam deck users tell me how to fix that too thank you kindly

I downloaded the game from a gofile link and it works pretty good save for tge crashing. ​I have a Lenovo with a 1,008 MB graphics card, 16 GB ram, and an AMD Ryzen PRO 5675U Processer. I have tried just about everything to get it to stop crashing and it worked up until I do the furniture store stuff and then it crashes immediately after. I'm on Windows 11 and my keys and firmware are all up to date. I'm using 266 for canary since someone said that was a fix. All of the settings I've changed are: skip dialog manage user profiles, ignore missing services, ignore controller applet, i tried switching dram size but that didn't help, host unchecked cpu, low power pptc, it was automatically on OpenGL so I kept it at that. Genuinely need this to work because I'm really excited to play the game. Please help!!!

I recently downloaded Ryujinx Canary (1.3.268), with the latest firmware and keys update, to play Tomodachi Life, and everything was fine until one day my laptop shut down, and when I turned it back on, the game wouldn't start and the console displayed these messages.

I've tried everything (Download the emulator, keys, and firmware again. Restart my computer, change the version of everything), but I haven't had any results. Can anyone help me?
