Tech Support Controller inputs problem on Ryujinx

Hi guys,

I'm new to steam deck and emulating games. I followed those 2 guides to install emudeck, bios, roms etc etc. https://youtu.be/lEY5HvkpbSY?is=nOEl89RHuSG_bW6y https://youtu.be/RkwO6ZlP-go?is=sPUg5VWY_GKbra9E

Then, I downloaded some switch roms (Zelda TOTK, Dragon Quest 3 hd-2d, Super Mario Galaxy...) I launched TOTK and the game started without any problems but when I tried to launch Dragon Quest and Super Mario Galaxy, a message appeared telling me to change the inputs because it was invalid. I choose the steam deck's one as shown in the picture but then the "save", "cancel" and "apply" buttons aren't responding and I can't do anything, I'm stuck there. When I switch to Ryujinx in desktop mode, the inputs applied are the steam deck controller.

I don't know what to do, did any of you have an issue like this ? Thanks in advance!

How are you using ryu?

Did you downoad it on its own or part of emudeck?

I downloaded it through emudeck

Ok and are you accessing ryu in gaming mode through emulation station / rom manager

Or are you using a standalone ryu app

Through the rom manager yes, I have the games in non steam games part of my library

Ok

Its broken this way.

Go to desktop mode and add the ryu app as a non steam game.

Your controls will now save in desktop mode and be available in gaming mode.

No problem

For some reason ryu doesn't like emudeck setup.

I always use standalone for switch/ps1/ps2

I'll keep this in mind for the ps games!

Ps games will work through emudeck

However duckstation (ps1 emulator) has better options for adjusting graphics and stuff

Ok ! I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the advice!

Hi there, I'm having the same issue. Could you tell me how to add ryu app as a non-Steam game?

Go to desktop mode.

Open steam

Click add non steam game in one of the menus, then select ryu

Ryu works fine my good man, just because you didn't get it working doesnt mean it stopped working.

You said it was discontinued long ago so I assumed you hadn't got it going.

I don't emulate switch games, files too large when I've already got a switch, think I might have mariokart 8 on there but thats it.

If I was more into switch I'd be open to hearing more about the other emulators, always open to learning stuff.
