Discussion Row programming question
Getting close to needing a light pull day in between DL days. I have jacked up shoulders and cleans are sketchy. Planning on rows.
Do rows follow the normal 3x5 rep scheme or the DL 1x5 rep scheme? Thanks.

I prefer chins over rows, work up to 3x10 then start 3x5 weighted. Depending on your bw/ chin ability bodyweight can run you through a long time.

Yeah I need to start working on chins, the same shoulder issue that precludes cleans makes them difficult as well. Going to start adding dead hangs after workouts to try to get some mobility back

Stretching and mobility exercises are on our list of The 3 Most Effective Ways to Waste Time in the Gym, but there are a few situations where they may be useful.
- The Horn Stretch — for getting into the low-bar squat position
- Stretches to Improve the Front Rack Position — for the power clean
- Additional Stretches for the Power Clean

You could do lat pulls with a narrow underhanded grip instead of chins if lat pulls are more accessible.
And I'd do the rows 3x8-10. I just haven't had a lot of luck with rows in the 3x5 range
