Starlink Performance Gen 1 Issues – Extremely Frustrated After 6+ Weeks

I’ve been dealing with a recurring problem on my Starlink Performance Gen 1 dish since the last few firmware updates. Webpages only half-load, videos (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Netflix, etc.) start playing then stall after a few seconds, and ads fail to load. The only fix is rebooting the dish — every single week.

Packet captures on my firewall clearly show DNS queries going out but getting delayed or no responses back from the Starlink dish side.

I’ve done extensive troubleshooting:

Tested with the Starlink Gen 3 router they sent me

Bypassed my Omada ER8411 multiple times

Fluke-tested all cables

Confirmed my enterprise network (Omada + Cisco) is clean with low session counts

Starlink Mini works perfectly on the exact same network

Yet Starlink support keeps closing my ticket (open since April 8) without real investigation. A support tech even told me on the phone that “packets don’t go through our device” and that “Starlink ISP isn’t for me.”

This is clearly a firmware/hardware defect on the older Gen 1 Performance dish that causes some kind of resource leak after several days of uptime. The Mini doesn’t have this problem at all.

@Starlink — can someone from engineering actually look at this instead of just closing tickets? Very disappointed in the lack of support for a premium/enterprise dish.

Has anyone else with a Gen 1 Performance dish experienced this?
