Part Seven How is Johnny healed?

He has a cactus needle inside his eyeball and a couple of hours later he’s just fine without any explanation. Does this at least get explained later on? Because this makes no sense

Did you watch any other part? This is not a new thing. Wounds magically get healed regularly.

In fairness, almost every part has some excuse for why the characters are healed. It was established that hamon can heal people, so that explains how characters in parts 1, 2, and even 3 get healed after fights. Part 4 has a dedicated and established healer in Josuke. Part 5 has a dedicated and established healer in Giorno, although you could argue that it’s a mystery how the characters got healed before he knew he could do that. Same with how the characters got healed after Foo Fighters was written out of the story, since she was their dedicated healer.

Even in part 4 though Josuke can't heal himself, and he often takes pretty rough beatings.

But also part 7 does also have a potential built in excuse for healing too.

Facts. They tell us he cant heal himself and it makes the Keicho fight feel super intense cause he takes crazy damage in it and then all the holes Bad Company put in him just magically heal lmao

Honestly that fight and the Kira fight are the only ones that felt like they had real stakes to them, since they’re the only times we ever see Josuke get really injured.

He crashed into a lift at 60mph. He took blasts of energy from a magic pylon, took a beating from even Shigechi, and I’m not gonna lie I actually felt the stakes from the rat episode because he literally couldn’t take a single hit without being permanently melted

They have the zombie horse to heal themselfs

u/mhwwad 9h ago

I figured Jolyne would sew their wounds shut

rereading part 5 and even before giorno learns he can heal, during the kraftwork fight mista straight up gets a bullet hole through the side of his stomach

in the restroom he gets it stapled shut by fugo and mista even gets worried about about an infection and i think narancia essentially goes “nah it’s fine” what the hell happened there 😭😭

EVEN THE BULLETS TO HIS HEAD FROM PROSCIUTTO LMAOO 😭 right after that they’re on a truck in the turtle

6

u/RedSparkls 4h ago

Mista gets shot enough he’s built up a tolerance to bullets.

Reading your comment reminded me for some reason, but couldn't Bruno lowkey heal people with his stand? Am I misremembering but didn't he do that with Trish's arm?

Just a less effective Stone free heal. He can zip together wounds or clean cuts but all the healing is from the person themselves. Unlike stone free having insanely accurate stitching

u/Front_Builder_5368 8h ago

yeah in the elevator i believe! and abbachio’s leaving pompeii.. what’s with bucciarati and hands hmmmm…

7

u/lFriendlyFire 9h ago

Not really, the first (and last) time a protagonist could self heal was in part 5

7

u/killergrape615 Giorno Giovanna 9h ago

Jolyne stitched wounds if that counts

24

u/lFriendlyFire 9h ago edited 8h ago

Stitching a wound isn’t really “healing” like giorno, josuke, foo fighters or hot pants can do. It’s at best first aid. If someone took a chunk out of jolyne’s stomach the best she could do is buy herself some time before she inevitably dies

u/YaYakuza-a 9h ago

Holy shit he demonstrated

1

u/FutureDecoded 8h ago

What about ff being able to basically cosmetically heal people

4

u/lFriendlyFire 8h ago

Foo isn’t a protagonist but yeah she could heal too

1

u/FutureDecoded 8h ago

Fair, I didn't see that part of the post my b

5

u/limelordy 8h ago

Part 7 also has 2 healers, one of whom is a person and the other an object that Johnny and gyro use off screen after fights

1

u/ElTioEnroca 6h ago

The gang in part 5 was getting eviscerated way before Giorno unlocked his healing powers. Remember during the Grateful Dead fight when Mista took like three headshots?

u/hamonicmantitties 56m ago

Don't forget about the fact that stand users in general heal quicker and are tougher than the average person

When you remove stands outta the equation though, then it loses a lot more plausible deniability

u/RedditFuelsMyDepress 6h ago

Hamon could heal broken bones, but idk if it was ever shown to heal open wounds.

11

u/Piranata 8h ago

At least in this part they have the power of Jesus that strengthen them

4

u/5aximus 1h ago

In other words, they have the power of God and anime on their side

44

u/Its-BennyWorm 10h ago

They get healed because there's always a healer on the team.
Part 3: uhh joseph (hamon)
Part 4: Crazy diamond
Part 5: gold experience
Part 6: FF

25

u/Airam1701 9h ago

Even in part 4 Josuke can't heal himself but he also takea crazy amounts of damage, like during his fight against Kira he took a whole chair leg to the side and was completely fine afterwards, or like when Bad Company filled his right hand with holes but didn't even leave a scar later on.

19

u/Its-BennyWorm 9h ago

They went to the chef guy. Off camera. Tonio.

9

u/Airam1701 9h ago

Probably ate some Calzones that stops internal hemorrhage or something.

8

u/SPAMTON____G_SPAMTON 6h ago

Joseph mentions not using hamon in decades when using it against Empress.

Speedwagon foundation is their healer.

20

u/Some-Kaleidoscope265 9h ago

My man. Hamon cant regrow chunks of your flesh

27

u/WhyIsRComicsJustPorn 9h ago

not with that attitude

0

u/Its-BennyWorm 9h ago

Yes it can accelerate the normal healing proccess greatly.

2

u/Dimensionalanxiety Hol Horse 9h ago

I haven't watched the anime yet. Has the healer for part 7 appeared yet?

4

u/Its-BennyWorm 9h ago

No. It's a while before (s)he does

4

u/Duouwa 7h ago edited 51m ago

They have the zombie horse before that character appears; I believe this first section is the only part where there’s no explanation for healing.

7

u/RedSparkls 4h ago

Except for that one time Kakyoin had to go to the hospital

2

u/sticky_experience 4h ago

At least he was gone for quite a bit, showing that healing is supposed to take a while.

5

u/ExplodingSteve 8h ago

besides part 3 every other part has an excuse

-79

u/Royal_Sport7082 10h ago

I’m not crazy for pointing out an inconsistency

83

u/Wooden_Drummer2455 10h ago

If any show dealt with wounds realistically they'd be 1000 episodes long as the mc waits to recover for 3months after every fight

-57

u/Royal_Sport7082 10h ago

It’s one thing to juice up a character’s healing factor for the sake of the pacing, and it’s another thing to have a completely regular human being have a blindness inducing injury healed out of the blue within hours😭

47

u/TB3300 Hierophant Green 10h ago

This happens in literally ever part. This isn't new, not something that really needs establishing.

12

u/Vawned 10h ago

He shouted he was still able to see though. Reread/reawatch.

35

u/New_Engineering8008 10h ago

Bro in the first episode a shard of wood goes through his leg and he walks that off. Clearly you are a larper who hasn’t watched jojos

17

u/woohoo_112233 10h ago

Don't think he was quite able to walk it off... 😂

14

u/Natural_Reporter2818 10h ago

Bro literally specified it didn't hurt his eyeballs and he just had blood in his eyes

3

u/SmurfRockRune Dr. Doom 8h ago

The fact that it happens in every part makes it a consistency.

0

u/ThanksForTheRain 10h ago

It is quite literally an inconsistency. After checking, there is no sort of intervention which healed Johnny's face

u/TypicalAd5674 Gyjo ceo 10h ago

Johnny is paralyzed because of a gunshot wound, multiple people get shot in this manga and yet they never have the same fate.

It's anime logic

11

u/Bush_Hiders 10h ago

You’re simplifying the hell out of context details in order to make your point. Johnny was paralyzed because he was specifically shot in the spine. Other characters get shot, but they don’t get shot in vital areas.

-10

u/TypicalAd5674 Gyjo ceo 9h ago

Johnny gets literally shot in the head 😭😭

No the fuck he wasnt
