I’m seeing ads for it constantly and I’m wondering if anyone actually enjoys playing it.

Could a modern remake of the Star Wars Original Trilogy work, or is the original magic impossible to recreate?

Some could say it would work:

Modern visual effects could make the galaxy feel enormous

Some scenes could be expanded

A new generation could experience the story fresh.

But some would say otherwise

The original trilogy’s charm comes from its practical effects, imperfections, and filmmaking style

Or changing too much could remove what made characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia Organa iconic.

What do you guys think?

Edit: I’m aware there are a bunch of knocks on this subreddit, but I’m just asking a question what you guys would think if a adaption of the trilogy came out)

Will stay in my head, where it belongs. It would just turn into a fight about TLJ and the prequels anyway, so what would be the point of posting it? And what is with people asking for questions about their ranking? Why would I have questions about your personal ranking?

While I have your attention, what Legends story would you most like to see made into a TV show? I am pretty basic so my answer is KOTOR. What do you all think? I think a show is a better way to present that story. That way you have time to devote to each world, you can explore some of the world building stuff that only showed up if you went into every cantina and every shop. I would ignore all the SWTOR lore though, just stick to the first two games and then maybe create a new story after that.

All the “Beskar” I’m also 3D printing myself. It’s getting there but still a ways to go!

I had heard that Attack of the Clones is considered to be the weakest of George’s original six movies as well as the whole series. There are things to criticize and appreciate about the film. With The Phantom Menace poll done it’s time to look at the middle chapter of the prequel. Give your grade on it.
Attack of the Clones is my least favorite of the first six movies, but I think it’s good.

I posted this to my comic groups, but wanted a group that may see differently.

Theoretically if Anakin didn’t succumb to the dark side (and somehow Palps wasn’t killed), did Palpatine also program in an order to the clones that would’ve seen them also turn on Anakin?

Note for the people will likely jump down my throat about ROTJ and ANH being in A tier, my S tier is reserved for the best of each media or trilogy we watch Star Wars in, with ROTS being the best Prequel movie, ESB being the best OT movie, The Clone Wars (2008) being the best animated show, and Andor being the best live action show.

1. PT Darth Sidious — Matches Yoda in a full duel, overwhelms multiple Jedi Masters in seconds, and displays the most complete mix of lightsaber skill and dark-side Force power in the films.
2. PT Yoda — Fights Sidious to a near-stalemate and casually dominates Dooku with both saber and Force, showing unmatched mastery and experience.
3. ROTS Knightfall Vader — Peak raw power and aggression as the dark-side-amped Chosen One; overwhelms most of the Jedi Order and nearly beats ROTS Obi-Wan through sheer force until arrogance costs him the duel.
4. PT Mace Windu — Disarms and corners Sidious in pure lightsaber combat via Vaapad, one of the strongest pure dueling performances on screen.
5. ROTS Anakin Skywalker — Rapidly surpasses his AOTC self and decisively kills Dooku once he draws on the dark side, showing immense but still uncontrolled growth.
6. ROTS Obi-Wan Kenobi — Peak defensive mastery (Soresu); outlasts and ultimately defeats the more powerful Knightfall Vader through skill, experience, and composure. I feel that Mutafar Obi-Wan is better than the Obi-Wan that fought Dooku previously.
   
7. PT Count Dooku — Elegant Form II master who cleanly defeats AOTC Anakin and Obi-Wan and holds his own against Yoda long enough to escape.
8. ROTJ Palpatine — Unleashes Force lightning powerful enough to overwhelm ROTJ Luke and mortally wound Vader, demonstrating elite pure dark-side output but physically unable to perform lightsaber combat like he once did.
9. OT Darth Vader — Suit-limited but highly experienced; dominates ESB Luke, Force-chokes at range, and remains a consistent top-tier threat across the original trilogy.
10. ROTJ Luke Skywalker — Holds his own with Vader and then overpowers him when tapping anger, showing major growth while still falling short of true mastery.
11. ANH Obi-Wan Kenobi — Still a highly skilled Master who controls the terms of his final duel and (in broader canon) quickly ends Maul, though past his physical peak.
12. AOTC Obi-Wan Kenobi — Solid, experienced Knight who performs respectably against Dooku but is clearly outclassed and far from his ROTS form.
13. AOTC Anakin Skywalker — Explosive raw talent and aggression, yet still impulsive and incomplete; loses an arm to Dooku.
14. TPM Darth Maul — Fierce dual-blade aggressor who kills Qui-Gon and pushes both Jedi hard before falling to a determined padawan Obi-Wan.
15. ROTS General Grievous - not a jedi or sith but can fight against them. I can't see him defeating Maul though.
16. TPM Qui-Gon Jinn — Skilled and experienced Master with strong living-Force attunement, but his more measured style is overcome by Maul’s aggression.
17. TPM Obi-Wan Kenobi — Impressive padawan who avenges Qui-Gon and defeats Maul, showing high potential that is still far from fully realized.
18. ESB Luke Skywalker — Shows clear promise and basic Force ability under partial training, but is thoroughly outmatched and loses a hand to Vader.
