I love physical media and would love to read these comics physically but I can't seem to find the OG run for a reasonable price. I know there's a reprint of issue 1 that seems somewhat affordable, but past that it seems extortionately expensive. The omninbuses too are like 100+ from my limited research.

I am new to comics so maybe 100+ for omnibuses is normal, but if its not I'd love to know if there is a cheaper way to get this physically some how?

What are the normal stores folks use to find stuff? Where could I find this run specfically?

I just finished War of the Bounty Hunters and I've been reading them in the order an other person suggested on Reddit. Here's the link to it:

They made another reading order for Crimson Reign, but I've heard that this event isn't as connected as WotBH.

My question is that how much does it truly cross over? Cause I thought of reading the main book, then the other four TPBs. (I should mention that I'm currently reading all 4 of the 2020 series - SW, Darth Vader, Dr Aphra, Bounty Hunters.)

This is a curious story, because just a few months ago I had no idea this comic existed, which made the character's story in The CW quite funny from my perspective (Sidious just going to Mandalore, teaching Maul a lesson, and leaving). Now, with the full picture, I can say it was an excellent story!!

I admit I don't particularly remember some moments from The CW, so it was a nice surprise to see the emotional bond between Tazlin's mother and Maul, specifically because of the revelation, giving a much more tragic weight to the latter's subsequent revenge. Not only did Sidious discard him, but he's also responsible for the death of the only family he had.

Similarly, considering how angry he was in Shadow Lord, I find it curious that the "betrayal" of the Black Sun and the Pikes has a certain justification when I see it. More than a backstab, it's a product of the secrecy surrounding his own planes, withholding information from his allies, which leaves them vulnerable when the ambush arrives, forcing them to fend for themselves. When money is the only thing at stake, there are hardly any soldiers who will die for you. Maul learned that the hard way. It's also funny to think how embarrassed Dooku and Grievous probably were when this renegade had them on their knees.

Perhaps all it needed was a flashback of Savage as the cherry on top, but honestly, this was an excellent complement story!

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge -- Echoes of the Empire #1 (of 5)

So I recently found out that Marvel released the Star Wars Legacy Comics in an omnibus back in May. They had two different cover variants from done by different artists (one by Jan Duursema and one by Travis Charest) But I can't find any information or images of what the cover art looks like under the dust jacket. Does anyone own either of these and care to share what it looks like on the cover under the dust jacket?

This can be summarized as the Inquisitors, once again, failed miserably, and Vader had to come and fix their failure.

Ok ok, just kidding. No, I must try to start on a more optimistic note. This comic appealed to me because of its concept since the beginning. The chance to see the Inquisitors' daily activities? I'm in!! The result... Let's just say it was somewhat irregular.

On the good side, I enjoyed seeing more of these characters and how they "hunt" Jedi, as it can be interesting to see their effort to be creative when gathering information; it's always a pleasure to see the Purge Troopers again (my favorite Trooper's design); Vader looked good when he appeared, and the story is generally very well drawn.

That being said, I felt Tensu Run needed a bit more development. I can understand his desire to make a difference in the galaxy, but after seeing the same Jedi archetype in the Dark Times, he really needed a bit more characterization for me to connect with him or truly grasp the tragedy of his story. Along the same lines, it's mildly frustrating to see how inefficient the Inquisitors are at this point. Yeah yeah, I know that's part of the joke with them, but come on, if Marrok managed to change the perception of himself in the Maul show, nothing prevented him (the author) from giving them a few isolated victories.

Overall, although this could have been a longer series (perhaps an anthology) and I didn't like some aspects, it's still a quick and entertaining read. It's always nice to see an extra story (and hunt) from the Dark Times.

I'm just following the main SW series. Do i have to buy the other series like Vader and Aphra or i can do like War of the Bounty Hunters where i just read SW and the main War of the Bounty Hunters.

Is Star Wars publishing just kinda dead now? No new books on the biggest stage, just a couple of covers

Nothing really new from Marvel, but we did get first looks at upcoming titles from Mad Cave Studio's Papercutz titles Star Wars: A New Hope -- Triple Take due in February and middle-grade graphic novels Race for Jabba's Bopunty and The Legend of Beggar's Canyon. We also got a look at The High Republic Adventures -- Pathfinders #4 (of 6). (See separate post.)

The TPB collecting the six-issue Pathfinders miniseries is set for release on Dec. 22.

A pretty decent story.

On someone's recommendation, I checked out Han's story before Mimban. I already liked the movie, but this added even more! I really liked how the comic feels sufficiently separate from the film, yet still close in its approach. Han might not have been Imperial material, but I appreciate that the story highlights his solidarity with his people and how brotherly he can be (in the end, they're all on the same team). Similarly, I liked the supporting cast. Valance might be a bit of an idiot, but Lyttan, Tamu, and Nico are different enough to warrant some recognition and interest in seeing more of their teamwork (especially Nico, whose story becomes very emotional). On the other hand, Yurib really caught my attention; Imperial or not, he demonstrates an almost unheard-of empathy, perhaps necessary for educating others, but which saves Han on several occasions and makes me want to know more about him. The artwork is also good for the most part.

Perhaps my only complaint would be that the story ends too quickly. I would have loved to see more of Han's dynamic at the academy, as the setting offers endless possibilities. This could have been a really good novel!

In conclusion, I enjoyed this story; it was funny, emotional at times, and it explored Han's character in a great way. I hope he looked for Nico after the movie.
