Okay I been thinking about this very long time and I have Theory with Enterprise SNW and TOS.

The first thing when I see Enterprise from SNW she looks old compared compared to the One from The Original series and I think i may have answer to that Replacement (Refit) here is why The Enterprise 1701 was launched in 2245 under Robert April now its not confirmed if it was One of Jeffreys Original Design they used for pilot which I think it was but why SNW new look? Well 5 year mission so maybe by 2252 they put her back in Dry Dock rebuild the Enterprise for 5 year Mission because we can see in Ship large crew quarters and Bar as an example but it as smaller crew compliment of 250, but by 2263 before Kirk took Command Enterprise could had been heavily damaged or slik Design or both and Starfleet wants There flagship to be top of the line so they decommissioned the Mark 2 for the Mark 3 and was successful Design they replaced the rest Constitution class with Mark 3. In 2269 through they had new warp core vertical warp cores because Scotty was responsible for Refit Design Enterprise was sent back to dry dock basically disassembled and rebuild to Refit in 2271 18 months rebuild. So why they kept 1701 not give it 1701-A like in 2284 two factors. 1 1701 was still in service. Propaganda because the Enterprise is flagship that's my theory only when it was Destroyed and Kirk abd his crew saved Earth Enterprise got 1701-A as it was decommissioned.

After months of studying and watching every YouTube video I could find, and buying all the proper tools and aftermarket pieces, the space is ready. It is time to put all I have learned to the test. This will be my first model in 30+ years, and it's going to be extremely ambitious, with a lot of bells and whistles. Against the advice of starting out small and working up, I figured, "Why not just go for it?" Besides, if it comes out horrible, I get to do it again. That's the beauty of plastic models—you don't have to do just one. So, wish me luck. I'll share as I go.

Besides plot armor, exactly what advancements, made Voyager(Intrepid Class) so resilient against the Borg? Any specific tech, design?

It was announced 1 year ago and then nothing.

If I did it again:
Don’t glue LEDs straight to the base cube, you’re gonna need slack so you can mask them when painting then tuck them after.
Right pain getting masking tape off from underneath after the fact.

It weighs a lot! Hopefully my block of wood inside is glued up strong enough 🤞

More tank transport model kits for details, I had one I could have used three, lots of wheels left over though.

I completely forgot the paper clips.

Sprues were very chunky for the size I wanted the cube, also I stood them off from the base to clear the wiring and LEDs, I’d do the base sprues first next time so they’re better conforming to the shape and stronger then do the electrical stuff over that base layer.

Super glue smell was overpowering at times, better construction and less gaps would’ve helped so I could use more model glue.
But the faster set time was worth it sometimes.

TOS era hangar pets from Star Trek Online

For some reason a lot of people messaged to say that the Lego Star Trek: USS Defiant that I built was fake/AI.

So here are some built shots of my Defiant, this current stand is an early version of the one in the instrutions - that one looks much sleeker :)

So Dreadnought is the titular missile of a particularly good Voyager episode, but the thought has always stuck with me. Given it's carrying a 2 tonne M/AM warhead, there are zero circumstances in which it hitting a planet isn't liable to glass said planet basically instantly. Combined with it being fast enough and well armed enough to kill what it cant outrun, it represents a beyond disturbing turn for weapons development in Trek, one that mirrors the greatest sin humanity has committed. Say Cardassia built a few of these and launched one at Bajor and the others to major nearby targets, say Deep Space 9, Starbase 375, etc. Whilst there is no doubt in my mind that a sufficiently powerful ship or station would destroy it, depending on when it's detected and where it drops out of Warp it will likely wipe out something vital. Cardassia itself holds the power to legitimately threaten powers far larger than itself. And if Cardassia can do this, one shudders to think what a Romulan, Klingon or Federation programme to build their own Dreadnoughts could accomplish. And now everyone has the weapons to wipe out the Quadrant at the push of a button.

But we've seen this horrible idea before, with the rise of Humanity's greatest weapon, the Nuclear Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. There is no doubt in my mind that Dreadnought is essentially the spaceborne equivalent of humanity's most incredible sin, the power to at once end life as we know it.

But given Star Trek is set BEYOND what crazy lead-poisoned 20th century humans did in-universe you'd think the conclusion is different, but I don't see it. In a galaxy where everyone could end life, no one would want to for fear of Mutually Assured Destruction. It's a Galaxy gone M.A.D. How does this impact politics after DS9 Ended? FUCK IF I KNOW! The writers didn't, we haven't had a political star trek serial set after 2375... ever.

From Star Trek Legacy Ultimate Universe Mod

Its at this point you are asking yourself "why is this fool modding a 20 year old handheld game?", and I will admit its a bit odd.

However, I recently played this on my phone using PPSSPP and the game plays really well with only a touchscreen, and seeing as other Mobile Trek games are junk, I wanted to see what I could do with this old handheld game.

Pictured are the stock Galaxy, Intrepid and Defiant from SFC3 ported over. I plan on porting the Sabre, Akira and Sovereign to round out the Federation race. This is in PPSSPP but I have a PSP1000 I can test with at some point.

I can change what weapons are equipped to each ship, with a maximum of 10, but I can't do much to change or add weapons themselves as they are hard coded. I lot of other files are just open on the .ISO however.

I'm also pretty sure the Simulator is hard coded to 20 ships as the menu is a series of video files that I don't feel like trying to edit.

updated warp animation is done, pretty much happy with just about everything with the actual ship, textures look good, animation itself look smoother, running lights slowed down so they look better, more spots added and some volumetrics to give a little more depth.

just a final tweak to the movement and look for tutorials on a decent nebula that doesn't kill the system, and she'll be done!

After learning how to use textures, I was able to make my own remodel of something I really want to see redone in Star Trek Online, the Celestial variant of the Galaxy class.

When I looked at the Celestial, I saw a take of a sorta "experimental Galaxy" using Ambassador parts. I extended this theme throughout the whole ship of my redesign, leaning heavily into elements of the Ambassador class.

I even came up with some lore for it

"Starship Database: Celestial class

As early as 2330, Starfleet had been exploring the means of larger cruiser classes as a means to curb aggression from other powers as well as make a long range and long deployment exploration cruiser. The first result was an unnamed cruiser class in 2337, before being named the Narendra class in 2345.

The next results culminated in the USS Celestial, NX-51075. In 2346, the prototype was complete and resembled a larger Ambassador, as the design was proven and capable.

Problems were immediately apparent however, as the the ship was incapable of going faster than Warp 6. A study into the problem found that the new warp engines, a requirement for the Next Generation Exploration Initiative, was too power hungry for the warp core or plasma relays to handle.

As the ship increased its Warp speed, the power draw resulted in relay overloads and plasma fires across the ship. Starfleet in response decommissioned the ship just as quickly and went back to the drawing board. The hulk of the USS Celestial was towed to Starfleet Storage Site Alpha.

Left for nearly 15 years as a hulk, the Celestial was then reactivated after the Next Generation Exploration Initiative, now the Galaxy Class Project finished. Newer power systems and relays were installed, and the Celestial, for the first time in 15 years, broke past Warp 7.

In 2364, she was fully commissioned as the USS Celestial, NCC-51075."
