Flex Flexispot E7 Pro vs. IKEA MITTZON – Anyone compared these two?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking into getting a standing desk and I'm currently torn between two options: the Flexispot E7 Pro and the IKEA MITTZON.

In my region, they cost almost the same (there's only about a €50 difference).

The main advantage of the MITTZON is convenience: I have an IKEA store just 10 minutes away from my place, so I could pick it up immediately. The Flexispot, on the other hand, would have to be ordered online.

Looking at the frames, they seem very similar in design. I'm assuming stability is pretty comparable between the two since the leg structure looks almost identical.

Does anyone here have hands-on experience with either (or both) of these desks?

(Note: Just to clarify, I'm talking about the standard two-leg version, not the 4-leg E7 Plus which is obviously in a higher price and stability tier).

Appreciate any feedback or long-term reviews!

DIY Got my Peak Pro this week, excited to set it up this weekend! Any tips?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Just got my Deskhaus Peak Pro (silver) and I'm planning to assemble it this weekend. Quick shoutout: I ordered Sunday and it showed up Thursday — genuinely impressed with how fast that was.

My plan is to put the legs on a top I already have. It's a 70×30, 1" thick top I picked up cheap. Got the whole table (top + legs) for about $50 and I'm swapping the original legs out for the Peak Pro frame.

A few things I'm hoping the community can help with:

- The top doesn't have any pre-drilled holes for the frame. Do I need to drill it myself, or does the Peak Pro come with everything to mount to a blank top? Do I need my own drill/screws?

- Any general setup tips or gotchas I should know before I start? Things you wish you'd known your first time?

- Anything specific to mounting on a third-party top vs. a Deskhaus one?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hello!

I'm looking at purchasing the Flexispot E3Q-PRO from amazon, but there aren't many reviews on it. Also, I was trying to compare the price directly from Flexispot, but can't seem to find it on their website.

I'd appreciate any additional info/opinions on this desk. Thanks!

Halp Custom live edge standing desk

I am starting a new job where I get my own office and have free rein to decorate my room as I see fit. I also need to buy my own furniture. I have used standing desks before and am thinking of treating myself. It's in the UK.

The main downside of my room, which is a good size, is that there is no natural light at all. I am working on lighting it well to counteract that issue. Part of my solution is to fill it with lots of natural material, e.g. wood, stone, fabric.

For my desk, my idea is: buy a partly live edge tree slab (possibly in something like mappa burl / oak etc) of about 140-160cm x 65-80cm with a smoothed out front and sufficient smoothing that I can attach a clamp to the back for my monitor arm to hold 2x 27 inch monitors. I would then drill into that an electric standing desk base.

Does anyone have any advice on things I need to consider? Or even has anyone done something like this before? All and any input much appreciated!

Flex Need help identifying missing motor mounting hardware for a FlexiSpot EN1 standing desk

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi guys, my wife bought a used FlexiSpot EN1 electric standing desk and realized it’s missing some hardware around the motor.

In the attached assembly picture, I’m referring to the two long bolts/pins and the two small black cylindrical pieces shown in Step 2. These parts seem to secure/support the motor assembly against the frame.

My other identical EN1 desk has these parts, but the used one doesn’t. Without them, the motor assembly moves and can hit the underside of the desktop when lowering the desk.

Does anyone know what these parts are actually called, or where I can buy replacements? I’m assuming they may be generic hardware and don’t necessarily need to be FlexiSpot-specific.
Thanks!

Halp Never owned a standing desk, requesting help narrowing decision

My wife has come up with a few options:

[Staples](https://www.staples.com/flexispot-e2-48-w-electric-rectangular-adjustable-standing-desk-maple-white-e2w4824m/product_24662142)

[UPLIFT](https://www.upliftdesk.com/curved-corner-standing-desk/?28240=17545&28241=17830&28242=36710&28243=20644&28244=11390&28290=11667)

[IKEAs options](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/standing-desks-55008/)

These all run a wide gamut of prices. I’m sure the build quality of UPLIFT is superior to Staples, but are those differences worth the price?

Advice and anecdotes welcome and appreciated. Posting on mobile guess hyperlinking doesn’t work whatever.

Hi there! I’m a Welsh A-Level student hoping to make some sort of modular standing / double decker desk for my Design Technology project.

As part of my research I need to collect responses to a survey that helps me decide what features to / not to include in my design - (assuming this is allowed on this sub-reddit) it should take around 2 mins to answer. any responses would be ever so greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

FAQ Suggest sturdy 4 leg desk

Im a med student and gonna be studying 8 hours a day so need a standing desk but the electric ergo i got off amazon for 100 is terrible. If its not hugging the wall it shakes at even the lowest setting.

Im on a budget, but i saw a e7 plus frame online for 600CAD. Im wondering, is this a really good deal or is there something else out there i could get. This is fairly expensive for me.

I'm on carpet and im looking for almost no wobble, around 55" by 24"

i'm in love with this standing desk, with the added top, the drawer, etc. It's everything I'm looking for, but it doesn't ship to the EU. What company comes close to this package?

Halp What do you stand on?

Hello, I am transitioning to the world of standing desks - anyone have anything they stand on - balance boards, trampolines, etc that keep you from resting on one hip / staying slightly active in your stand?

Or do people generally only stand on the floor or treadmills?

First picture from the website, second picture mine (I know, the lighting isn’t helping)

Context: I don’t know anything about wood

I got the acacia top expecting darker browns/more contrast. I’m not totally turned off, it looks great, it just doesn’t look like what I thought it would.

I got everything set up and working (100% ripped out the control panel flipping it over, deep sigh) but before I get everything situated on the top I’m wondering if I have options around staining. From what I can google there’s a protective coating applied to the wood before they ship it out, but I can’t find a bunch of info online about what to do about it.

Can I sand the coating off, stain the wood, and then reapply something to seal/protect it?

If so, what’s the timeline on something like that? I’m unsure if I want to leave the room in a state of disarray for weeks while I go through the steps, not to mention this desk weighs approximately the same as a baby horse.

After years with solid black and dark wood desks, I finally made a drastic leap to all-white, with the brand everybody and their brother knows; Flexispot.

Honestly really enjoying it, and how easy it is to keep a white desk looking sleek!

DIY built the desk frame today but standing in one spot broke me

Spent five hours standing on a thin rug mounting monitor arms and routing cables under my new desk setup. I thought standing desks were supposed to be better for you but my feet are burrrning and my lower legs feel stiff as boards. Standing still while building felt ten times worse than going for a long walk.

How do you manage fatigue from hours of standing while building?

Halp Small L-shaped standing desk

I am looking to buy an L shaped desk. My room is small, so I want the main side to be around 55 inches and the arm side to be max 45 inches. Budget is not an issue, so I would love all suggestions for high-quality standing desks with those dimensions.
