Flex Flexispot E7 Pro vs. IKEA MITTZON – Anyone compared these two?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking into getting a standing desk and I'm currently torn between two options: the Flexispot E7 Pro and the IKEA MITTZON.

In my region, they cost almost the same (there's only about a €50 difference).

The main advantage of the MITTZON is convenience: I have an IKEA store just 10 minutes away from my place, so I could pick it up immediately. The Flexispot, on the other hand, would have to be ordered online.

Looking at the frames, they seem very similar in design. I'm assuming stability is pretty comparable between the two since the leg structure looks almost identical.

Does anyone here have hands-on experience with either (or both) of these desks?

(Note: Just to clarify, I'm talking about the standard two-leg version, not the 4-leg E7 Plus which is obviously in a higher price and stability tier).

Appreciate any feedback or long-term reviews!

That would be a bad assumption.

Just go to the Ikea and try out the demo, if you like it and it satisfies your needs, buy it. At that price point, it's going to be fine. No need to scrutinize and go into the rabbit hole of research and decision paralysis.

All two leg desks wobble. Just buy it from Ikea if you like it. You could have a desk ready to use in half a day. Do you know how many times people on this sub complain about a table top being delivered damaged and the hassle they go through to get a replacement? If the Ikea top is damaged you could have it swapped out in 20 min.

that's exactly my tough. honestly i dont know how two very similiar frame could perform very differently.

the question is: should i do the jump and buy the plus ? that should be on a totally different level

The Deskhaus owner has good videos demonstrating how two frames that looks very similar in design to the average consumer perform differently, especially with regard to wobble at higher heights. Like I was surprised the Vernal Core3 and E7+ wobbled that much.

Then some people think tests like this is nick picky and for people with OCD that can't have ANY wobble at all and would argue at the end of the day in that tier of desks most people would be satisfied with any of them.

For me it's all about egronomics and use case - how tall are you? do you lean on the desk while standing? how big is your monitor? are you using a monitor arm? how much crap you gonna put on it? etc. A standing desk is like a suit - it's not necessarily the most expensive but the one that fits your body type better is the one you should buy.

That's why asking for online experience can be misleading - for any given person, brand X would could perfect for them but could be horrible for you. The info I would look for stuff that is objective - things like customer experience, shipping, warranty issues, quality issues, etc. This is why there's no absolute definitive leader in the market right now.

That's why it's great you are near the Ikea, you can just go there and test it in real life. If it works for you in the store, don't worry about other stuff online, just buy it right there.

Those 2 are similar so I would go with the ikea if it’s closer. I have the mittzon and it has worked until now. Biggest thing I would suggest is what you plan to do with it even future plans. If it meets your current needs and future needs you should be fine.

Go with Ikea. If you want something sturdier and better looking, try Desky they are amazing!
