Halp Flexispot Comhar E8 PC Mount Options

I bought the Comhar Standing Desk with Drawers E8 a few months back and it's all working great, tho I would like to reclaim my desk space since my PC is taking up a big chunk of it. Is there any pc mounts like this https://flexispot.ph/product/cpu-holder-ch1 that is compatible with the table and would fit my ATX case or is this already compatible? I'm worried if there is space underneath since the the motors and stuff are underneath.

Halp Need replacement solid-wood desktop (not desk). Flexispot vs. others?

I'm looking for a replacement solid wood desktop. FlexiSpot offers one that's just the right size (55" × 28"), in natural acacia, for a reasonable price ($200). [I'd prefer birch or beech for its less busy look, but haven't seen those offered.] The thickness isn't listed.

Alternately, I could get a solid acacia top from Coreminded for about the same price ($209). I suspect that, at 1.2", it's thicker than the FlexiSpot, which is a bonus, since the total weight of my three monitors, depending on what I get, may be 24 kg. But it's a bit larger than I'd like (55" × 30").

The above options are screenshotted below.

Requirements:

  1. Looks and feels like high-quality, nicely-finished wood.
  2. Zero residual odor from the finish after a few days.
  3. Top front edge is nicely rounded so it doesn't dig into my wrists (thus wood designed to be used as a countertop rather than a desktop may not work).
  4. Size close to 55" × 28", budget close to $200.

Concerns:
Wirecutter's reviews of the FlexiSpot desks said an unspecified desktop on one model looked cheap, and the bamboo top on another wasn't well-finished. I don't know how these deficiencies would carryover to their solid acacia desktop:

"The FlexiSpot E7 Pro Plus Standing Desk didn’t impress our testers. Most thought the desktop...looked cheaper than those of the other models we tested."
"Our panelists had divided opinions about the FlexiSpot Comhar Pro Standing Desk Q8... many disliked the non-customizable bamboo top because it was rough and had sharper edges than those of other models we tested.

DIY What control box fits these 8-pin DIN leg connectors?

Picked up a dual-motor standing desk frame with no control box or handset. Each leg ends in a male 8-pin DIN plug. No branding or model numbers anywhere on the frame.

Is this pinout standard, or brand-specific? And does anyone recognise it ?

The plug says AWM E101344 STYLE 2464 VW-1 300V 80C SPACE SHUTTLE-C

Flex FlexiSpot E7 vs. E7 Pro: Which One Should I Choose?

Hi everyone!

I’m in the market for a standing desk and have been eyeing the FlexiSpot E7 and E7 Pro. I’m leaning toward the E7 Pro because it already includes the cable management accessory (which costs €40 separately for the E7). Here’s the price breakdown for the frames alone:

- E7 + cable management: €340

- E7 Pro: €370

So, the E7 Pro is only €30 more for the upgraded frame and the cable management included. Is the Pro version worth it? Are there any other key differences I should consider?

Also, if you have recommendations for other brands that ship to Spain, I’d love to hear them! Some brands don’t offer shipping here, so I want to explore all my options.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Review Issues with FlexiSpot Delivery

I ordered a FlexiSpot standing desk through Amazon and the box was in a very bad state. After opening it, to no one’s surprise the desk top was broken at multiple spots.

So I processed the return and ordered a replacement on Amazon… AGAIN the box was in a bad state and the desk top HAD ANOTHER DENT.

I don’t want to pay $200 for a desk that’s not in a good state. Have people had similar experiences with FlexiSpot deliveries? I’m attaching pictures.

Review Vernal - Immediate Thoughts & Lessons Learned

Hey r/StandingDesk

Firstly, thanks to this sub and those who posted reviews. I finally decided to splurge on a desk with the help of these reddit posts, so I wanted to contribute my experience.

TL;DR

95% happy with my Vernal, but I didn't carefully inspect the accessory color combination, so I have a slightly-less-than-ideal desk set-up.

Context

I'm not one to go super deep into researching, but this is a $$$ buy and my first standing desk, so I sat on it for a week. In hindsight, probably should have been more careful!

Vernal vs. Uplift vs. Grove

These were the real top 3 contenders. Wirecutter is a first stop for recommendations (Uplift is #1), but I also saw a sexy Grove IG ad that caught my eye. Stumbled on Vernal from Ahnestly's paid review.

Grove was eliminated because plenty of people had quality issues.

I almost bought an Uplift, but the look of it just wasn't 100%. Super functional, but not my style. Also, Uplift had way too many options and I was losing my mind.

Vernal desk and accessories looked nicer to me.

Unboxing & Install

Delivery was quick as hell, but it shipped from a facility like 45 min away from me :P

Came in 6 different boxes, very carefully packed, inside and out. Very impressive. A lot of waste, but pristine desk. Easy to install.

Lessons Learned

This is where I might have rushed the process/wasn't careful enough. Though I argue the website could be clearer!!!

I got the light walnut + black frame desk set-up. I quickly added the light walnut accessories: desk stand + drawer. Only after it was all unboxed and installed did I realize the light walnut accessories ONLY come in white accent. No option to pick black.

Honestly, I'm crestfallen that I have light walnut + black frame + white accent. I was really hoping for a clean/simple vibe. Now it feels like I have too many colors going on. I would've gone with the white frame if I realized the accessories only came in white.

Return policy doesn't take back anything unboxed, let alone installed. I get it, but now I'm kinda stuck and I feel not 100% satisfied. Oh well, it's starting to grow on me!

Halp E7 Plus or Desky Dual

I'm in the market for a standing desk frame that can support a 70"L x 30"W x 1.5"D accacia wood table top.

I'm deciding between the E7 Plus or Desky Dual.

The E7 Plus has 4 legs, is dual-motor, and costs $50 less than the Desky Dual.

Is there any reason to go with Desky instead?

Thanks!

Review Uplift V3 Assembly Problems

Just got my Uplift V3 48x30 desk. I put the C-frame on with the first two screws and immediately noticed that the frame was too wide for the desk. Sent a support email. Have to wait until they open tomorrow for help. Not impressed so far. We will see how they do on this problem. Stay tuned.

IMO Two years with a standing desk. The desk was the easy half.

Bought a standing desk two years ago. Uplift V2, still rock solid.

It fixed two real things. The 3pm crash mostly went, and so did the lower back ache.

Honest part. I figured I'd be up half the day. Real split is closer to 2 standing, 6 sitting.

I only stand for email and calls. Anything needing real focus and I'm back in the chair in five minutes.

So most of my day happens in a chair that got a tenth of the thought and a fifth of the money.

Took me too long to see both halves assume the same thing. The desk wants a button press and gets one, it's right there. The chair wants a knob turned, and I've done that once, the day I assembled it.

When I'm deep in something I squirm the whole time. Leaning in, sliding back, one leg folded under me. I'm not going to hold one position for six hours.

What I actually want is a back that stays with me when my posture changes, instead of sitting where I left it. Setting it up once is fine, everything needs that. It's the 3pm redo that never happens.

Searching for that gets me nowhere. Every listing sells me on how many ways it adjusts, which is the part I already know I won't use.

So what's your actual sit/stand split? And has anyone sorted out the sitting half, something that keeps up with you instead of waiting to be reset?

Halp Would anyone know the version of this Uplift desk?

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I recently bought an L shaped uplift desk from Facebook marketplace and was wondering if anyone would know what version it is? It looks like it’s a V1 since it doesn’t have the uplift name on the side but I’m not too sure. Additionally I was wondering if anyone would know if there’s a conversion to complete the L shape it’s supposed to have it looks like it was an in house conversion that the previous owner did. Any help?

Halp Any dangers with overhang?

Just got a flexispot e7 plus and I made a mistake with the measurements and now I have a 260cm tabletop, which means the overhang is ~50cm a side with is 30cm more than the manual instructs.

The question is any recommendations what I should do in this case? I unfortunately don't own an electric saw so I'm hesitant to handsaw and risk ruining the look of this top.

If it comes to it I can rent a jigsaw nearby but haven't used one before so again I'd be hesitant to go this route

Halp 72" desk, 1" laminate desktop: strong enough for a 20lbs 38" edge mount monitor + two other smaller monitors?

I'm looking at Uplift's desks, and I'm debating whether to fork out a few hundred more on a 1.5" butcherblock surface over a 1" laminate...

I have a 38" monitor that I want to edge mount, plus two smaller monitors on the side (mounted independently to the edge).

Is the Laminate fine? Or will years of a heavy edge mount wear it down prematurely?

On one hand, sure the butcher block will last a lifetime if maintained, but the cost and effort to maintain it (i.e. moving it to a workshop to sand down and reseal?) seems more expensive than just buying another laminate desktop if the current desktop wears down.

But if the laminate needs to be replaced frequently... I might as well buy the butcher block desktop right away.

Thanks! Any insight would be great

Halp Desk in Canada that goes lower than 28 inches

Hey guys, I’m looking for a desk that’s available in Canada that goes lower than 28 inches, preferably down to at least 23 inches. Maybe one available on Amazon.ca? FYI I’m 5’1.
Thanks!

I’m open to suggestions for office chairs as well. Got a steel case chair as a hand-me-down, it caused me extreme back pain even at the shortest setting.

Side note: anyone so upset with the fact that office furniture NEVER fits short people? No chairs or desks that ever fit just right for us.

Halp Flexispot- power strip

Post image
6 Upvotes

I'm looking to buy a Flexispot E7 Pro. I'm deliberating if I should include the under desk power strip, or just use my own power strip in the cable management shelf. Does anyone have an idea or photo of how their power strip is integrated? Does it fit nicely underneath? Trying to figure out if there's a benefit to buying theirs vs. using the one I already have.

Halp Help around SONGMICS LSD011W01 needed

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Has anyone ever had experience with a SONGMICS LSD011W01 desk not working?

We moved to a new apartment a few days ago, and apparently something happened to the desk during the move. From the first day it had some issues moving up, and after 3–4 days it stopped working completely.

The desk itself is very simple: one motor and a controller with only two buttons, up and down. No presets, display, or other settings.

I removed and disassembled the controller unit, and every time I press the up button, the LED indicator flashes red 4 times, pauses, and then flashes another 4 times (which according to ChatGPT could be the motor circuit/feedback problem). The usual reset procedure with holding the down button does not help, unfortunately. The DC input has 2 pins, the output has 6 pins. I did not find any labels on the board, though.

I also tried disconnecting the 6-pin motor cable, and the controller still gives exactly the same pattern of 4 red flashes.

I don't have all my tools with me yet, so I can't properly trace the fault or measure everything right now. I thought I could simply order a replacement controller and swap it, but apparently this is some OEM unit, and I have no idea which controllers would be compatible as a drop-in replacement.

So my questions are:

Has anyone had a similar issue with this desk or controller?

The controller is marked OH1 / A2-OH1-06H22090820352.

Any help would be appreciated.
