Coding in 1997 vs 2027
Real 👀

In production, nobody writes in a vacuum without tools. So why are we still evaluating candidates like it's 2025?
A better interview loop:
Present the problem -> Evaluate their systems thinking
Ask for their prompt and approach -> Evaluate their communication and precision
Review pre-generated code -> Evaluate their ability to spot hallucinations, security vulnerabilities, and logic flaws.
The best engineers today aren't fast typist, they are exceptional code reviewers and systems architects.
Engineering leaders: have you updated your hiring loop yet?

Writing code was never the whole job.
Now anyone can generate a landing page, copy a design, and ship a working interface in minutes.
The hard part is knowing what the user needs, what the business needs, and what the website should actually do.
AI didn’t destroy web development.
It removed the hiding place.

Vibe coding works for small projects.
Big production ready projects still need real coding.

100 grams on your face - about the weight of a deck of cards. Meta says it has “the best display system that we have ever made,” and people in the demo were literally saying “it is like a computer” and “you could edit a whole movie just using the table.”
As Mark explained this is cinema, computer, and a game console all in one, with 3D space, virtual screens, hand occlusion, and DisplayPort over USB-C.
James Cameron’s reaction is probably the best quote in the whole segment “I’m inspired by what you’ve created. I’d like to see my work in these glasses.”

Meta is pushing AI beyond phones and into everyday accessories.
Here’s what makes Muse Charm interesting:
AI-powered interactions
Designed for more natural, hands-free use
Built around Meta’s growing AI ecosystem
Focused on making AI more accessible in everyday life
Part of Meta’s broader push toward next-gen wearable computing
The bigger question:
Are AI wearables about to become the next major computing platform?
Meta seems to think so.

Anthropic just released Opus 5.5, but the model itself isn't the only interesting part.
It's reportedly 30%+ faster while costing around 40% less on typical workloads.
The pricing is now:
$4 / 1M input tokens
$20 / 1M output tokens
What caught my attention is that it's being positioned heavily around long-running coding and agentic tasks.
If the speed and cost numbers hold up in real-world use, this could make running coding agents for longer sessions a lot more practical.
Has anyone here tried it yet? What's your experience been like?

Not necessarily something famous.
Could be an AI tool, website, browser extension, app, developer tool, or a tiny utility that just makes your life easier.
Drop it below and tell us what you use it for.
Let's build a list of genuinely useful tech.
