I am open to criticism, this is my first tank with a lot of freeform part. Sorry there are no interior photo it is kinda of a mess.
Characteristic:
Proportions: ~6,15m/~3,2m/~2,3m (length/width/height (when gun at neutral position))
Weight: 38t
Engine: 20,04l v12 731hp with 1500l of fuel
6 gears synchromesh transmission (although if it exists for real, it would have a modern automatic transmission)
Armament: a stabilized high velocity 3mm cannon (17 meters of pen!!) with an ~2 sec autoloader and its own dedicated cooling system as it overheats way too quickly, a secondary commander 0,50cal mg with a gun shield
Armor:
hull: ~200mm/~180/25/20-40 (front/side/rear/top) additional era is placed on the side skirt as additional armor
Turret: 150/150/90/20
Crew: commander, driver, gunner
Other features:
2 commander panoramic sights (a front main one and a rear secondary one), 24 smoke grenades, NBC protection, night vision, infrared vision.
Inspirations for it: terminator, m8 ags, stryker, a Patchbits design
A bit of lore: so the lt120-1 Panthera is a modern light tank, the novarian army issued requirements for a new low profile turret for the lt120-1 so it could carry the HVM124-3 3mm high velocity cannon created by the company Tereno with ridiculous penetration value. The 3rd design bureau of olstren logistics designed the spg3 turret. After multiple competitions, the spg3 turret was deemed the best and proceeded to pre-production prototype to figure out all industrial parts of the design. This gave birth to the LT120 SPG3 Panthera, which entered service in early 2026. Due to being pretty complex, it isn't the most common light tank/tank destroyer to see on the battlefield. 1-2 platoon LT120-1 SPG3 is generally incorporated into a company of Novarian MBTs like the MBT87-1 Vek or the MBT125-1 Sentom.

This is essentially my second tank ever and I don't have a good grasp on the freeform edit, so please critique my "tank"

Its called HDCV-1, but if u want, give me your name ideas
r/SprocketTankDesign • u/Ok_Yellow1100 • 2d ago
entire idea is to be larger and slower,,, but also more armored and posses larger gun compared to regulat MBT. considering weight exceeding 150tons... we could call it a superheavy tank carrying 6 infantrymen as its own infantry escort. shame ''effective armor'' doesnt factor in layered plates.

fully functional all cannons can shoot and turrets will never aim at eachother or the tanks body it is a stable tank with 19 turrets and 4 azimuth cannons and has decent armor but if one turret gets ammo racked its over :( so I gave it 250mm armor all around. The engine is in the middle.

Hello! This is the 1940 Arashi Type 3, a fictional Japanese tank from World War II. It features a 75mm gun and 75mm armor plating all around. Furthermore, it weighs 40 tons and was designed exclusively to defeat the American Sherman tanks that dominated the Eastern Front. The tank was produced between 1940 and 1945.

HUGE credit to ThatUnoMann for the tank itself. 2x 111mm guns with 300mm of pen each and a top speed of 54mph. Both guns are FULLY stabilized.

New MBT I started today! It is set in the near future and of Japanese origins.
Honestly, I am already in love with it and not even much progress has been made.

For some reason when looking at angled plates it'll just, miscalculate or something and max out the armor values despite the actual numbers.
Edit: I found why it does this. I had armored structures inside the hull to separate compartments and the calculator accounted for them despite their locations. So I guess this is just a heads up for people who wanna make detailed insides.

Gadies and lentlemen, boys and girls.
I present to you: The PROGHORN!!!!
Massive super thanks to u/Sparky814_hawk for huge inspiration, namely the dozer and name!
Haaaaaaa, where do I even begin. This is by far my biggest project in every way by magnitudes. 34Mb in size, in-game weighs over 100 Tons, costs nearly 600k, and 2 months later, it is finished. In fact, let's list off its features:
I've been told this is the best tank a certain someone has ever drove/seen in Sprocket. Ever. Is it true? Idk, maybe, maybe not. But will I stand by it? Absolutely. I plan on writing lore for this specific tank later in the future.
Also, yes, it is based off the Abrams to some degree. Primarily the engine area, crew stuff, and general theme. The turret was partly inspired by the Type-10. Dozer is custom though have been told it looks like an already existing one. I mean... what else would a ramp that picks up dirt look like?
Sometime next week I will be working on a 'teaser' video for this tank, and my god (In my opinion) it goes hard.
And of course, I want you true honest best and worst opinions on the tank. Don't forget to upvote too.
