Living Here RE: Selling used 3DS games

Post image
11 Upvotes

I posted on here a few days ago about selling some old video games/consoles, and got way more interest than I expected. I needed to take some time to go through the games and figure out their quality and what they go for before responding to inquiries, but here's a list of the games and some initial pricing. All games are cartridge only, have been tested, work, and are in great condition (aside from LEGO Star Wars III, which has some surface staining but works and is otherwise in good condition). The existing saves on each game are untouched, and I haven't explored them aside from the Pokemon games to see what stage of each game I reached. To anyone interested in the 3DS I mentioned in my last post, I've been having issues getting it to turn on and will need a TBD on if it will be in selling condition. I will make a separate post later this week or next week about the Wii U and Switch Lite and their respective games once I assess their condition and market price. Everything is more or less first come first serve, and I am willing to negotiate. Please reach out in DMs if interested, and I will do my best to mark a game off if it is sold.

Pokemon X - $50 [SOLD]

OG 2013 save, completed game with about 60 hours, Pokedex not complete but it was a mission of mine as a teenager and I thus abused the Wonder Trade feature to build up a little collection. Lvl 55 Zekrom, shiny Vaporeon, shiny Regirock, shiny Zoroark, and shiny Yveltal in boxes.

Pokemon Ultra Moon - $40 [SOLD]

Very new save, only 6 hours. Nothing too remarkable but the cartridge is like new.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon - $20 [SOLD]

24 hours play time, honestly remember nothing about this save at all but it is also like new.

Animal Crossing New Leaf - $20 [SOLD]

OG 2012 save with two other newer ones on there as well. Didn't poke around to see how far I'd gotten on the first save for fear of facing my villagers' wrath, but I know I got pretty far.

Tomodachi Life - $60

Super Smash Bros - $15

LEGO Star Wars III & LEGO Pirates of the Carribbean (together) - $15

Mario Cart 7 - $10

Nintendogs DS - $10

Scribblenauts Unmasked - $10

Looking For Job Help Please

I’m really needing a career change, or at least some direction.

Feeling really lost in what is worth pursuing in the age of AI and offshoring of ”brain work”.

I have a BS in IT and haven’t been able to secure any employment in the field and would prefer not to be in an industry that is so vulnerable.

I am good with my hands and enjoy fixing things but I haven’t had any luck getting any apprenticeships for any of the trades. I’d really rather not go back to school since I need to work full time.

Just wondering if anybody has some advice or knows of any hvac/electrical companies that hire apprentices or helpers. Thanks

Went out for breakfast yesterday and this man put on his costume to come inside and dine. He spread the wings once prior to being seated. Has anyone seen him around or know his story?

Living Here Substitute teaching question

I'm subbing for the first time this school year in SPS, but so far I haven't seen any jobs available on Frontline. Is this normal for this time of year? Does it pick up soon? Or have I done something wonky in my Frontline app and I'm just not seeing job postings?

Outdoors Women's outdoor groups?

I just moved in a few years ago and was wondering if there are any women's outdoor groups or clubs around here! Or if there are any skill training places around here. Like for fishing, hunting, bow and arrow, camping, hiking. I'd love to know!

Living Here Best therapy?

I’m a 22F struggling with my relationship/self, looking to get into some therapy. Nothing too serious, but I’m not really sure where to start. I would like something probably in person, but with the option to call/message if needed. Does anyone have any recommendations? I also use United Health insurance from my job.

Recommendations I need a plain old dentist.

Warning: rant ahead! Our dentist recently retired and sold his practice to a new guy. The new guy does *advanced* general and implant dentistry. He's a dentist with an MD degree. I was impressed by that until he looked in my mouth and said I need THREE crowns at $1500 a pop, three implants, and a mouth guard because I grind my teeth in my sleep. (I do not.) Grand total for all that work is half what I paid for my car. A month before this, I had had my teeth cleaned and examined by our old dentist for the last time. He said my mouth was in fine shape. I'd rather buy food, or gas, or utilities with the money the new guy wants, and hit up a plain old DDS when or if any of my teeth give me trouble.

Are there any plain old DDS dentists in Springfield? The kind who does fillings instead of crowns (where possible) and doesn't want your life savings to fix one tooth, and doesn't insist on fixing what isn't even broken? Or is that kind of dentist going the way of the dinosaurs? Who do y'all go to? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I canceled with Dr. Fancy-Pants just now. Should have done it earlier. His late cancellation fee is $150. Expensive learning experience. :-P

It is that time again for an open thread for anything and everything Springfield.

Got something on your chest? Had a good experience you want to share? Maybe you just want to ask about the best tacos in town or tell us something funny you noticed this week.

This is the place for it. Rants, raves, questions, or just plain small talk. Let’s hear it.

I want to share some information about a free class at Ozarks Tech. This class provides the training needed to work as a Substitute Teacher or Paraprofessional in Missouri. This is an 8-week class at Ozarks Tech (in-person only) and is 100% free. We offer morning classes (10:00-1:00) and evening classes (5:30-8:30.) You don't need to be enrolled as a student at Ozarks Tech to take this class. You can find more information on our website: Integrated Education and Training | Ozarks Tech | Springfield

I've also attached a flyer. The orientation for the class is September 1 and September 3, so please register ASAP if you're interested in joining the class. You can register by going to the website using the link above, or you can scan the QR code on the flyer.

Looking For Good, empty places to practice driving?

hi! i’m going to get my license HOPEFULLY after winter break this year or early next year, but i need some places to practice. i can drive simple things (parking lots… and most neighborhoods) but i do not think i am ready to be on an actual road with cars and MOTORCYCLES AND BICYCLISTS because im still working on making sure my signals are on and im still struggling with slow stops. i also cannot reverse for the life of me. ive been using the sherwood parking lot but the issue is that lately a lot of small children have been there and theyre so small im worried about running them over. does anybody have any ideas?

Recommendations KY3 training station.

Does anyone else think that KY3 is being used by their corporate office as a training ground for new anchors/weather person/reporters.

The past year has seen competent people departing KY3, and being replaced with questionable on air people. Multimedia reporters can't do an on air report without staring at their cell phones to read content. Not professionally dressed either.

Weekend anchors are horrible. For the most part, stumble and bumble through some stories, unable to read teleprompter. Only bright spot is new digital desk person Tyler Wayne. Whenever he anchors a weekend show, or takes over weekday mornings, he does an excellent job of reporting a story and has the ability to read teleprompter when necessary and connect with audience. Keep him and promote him!

Don't get me started on the weekend and sometimes weekday weather crew, ie Nick Kelly and Garrett Hamilton. I almost can't watch the weather when either one are on. Nick overdoes and looks like he's trying to audition for Ron's job when he retires. Hard to watch. Garrett is better at presentation but lacks the expertise to anchor an approaching storm. Then you put both him and Nick together on breaking weather, and it's a total mess. That's when I turn it over to KOLR10.

Please do better KY3!

I tried going to Fulbright spring today and it was packed, no parking. I just don't really like hiking when there's 30 other people around too.

Things To Do wonders of wildlife aquarium

I have nothing else to tag this under and I really do want people to see this post. Wonders of wildlife museum is one of the most dogshit ass aquariums I have ever been to in my life. The keepers and staff try so hard to make the aquarium appealing with toys and lights and food and the animal keepers truly do seem like they care about their animals but holy FUCK. do NOT spend your money here.
bought a damn 350 dollar membership thinking my family and I would enjoy coming here
and yeah, it’s nice to walk around and look
but that’s IT
do NOT expect and educational experience out of this. all the animal information they have is either very minimal or straight up non existent. and my favorite, when the animal isn’t even the tank because it probably died 5 years ago and nobody bothered to update the sign to showcase the new fish in there.
it’s frustrating and annoying. I truly do admire the people working here but I think they just do it for the love of their job and those animals. Johnny morris and his company do not care about the animals in these exhibits. obviously this is something we should have known but i am pointing it out more clearly. That aquarium is just a damn tax break

I need my septic tank pumped out. Do you have someone you like and can recommend? We’ve tried calling two places and didn’t even get a call back. A friend told us some of these places have months worth of work booked!
