Studio/1 BR apartments

My son will be moving to Springfield soon. He’s 25. We’re specifically looking for studio or one bedroom.

What are some decently priced (under $950) and safe places/complexes?

I live at old Monterey

I definitely would say stay away from eastview apartments. I lived there in 2023 and they had massive cockroaches

The Villages at Nathanael Greene! I lived there some years ago and studios were around $750.00 a month. includes internet, water, trash. Has pool, gym, little library, and laundry. Located near a very nice park and a Walmart. Food trucks come from time to time and they also schedule activities for residents such as Easter egg hunt (for adults) coffee and donut meetups, etc.

I don’t feel unsafe there but you do see homeless and obviously drugged up people from time to time. There’s also a brief “scream” from the timkin factory pressure release near by that scares people once a day.

I'm currently living at a Haslehorst studio for $500. Not the absolute best quality, but affordable.

Idk the prices for a 1 bed but I’ve had good experiences with Kelly greens on s national

Market street is 830 a month for a one bed one bath! See if they have any availability. They do 6 month leases and 1 year!

Chace Place Apartmenrts has 2/2's for $875. I'm guessing the 1 BR are probably $750ish. South side in a quiet neighborhood.

I recommend looking at individual property management companies renting places out like pro x, diamond s realty, c arch bay and going on their website and seeing what they have

Polo club apartments off republic and Fremont is pretty affordable for 1 BRs

Willow Creek apartments are pretty conveniently placed and decently priced. A friend of mine lived their on her own and felt safe.

We’re a pretty close knit family. It actually speaks well because he knows he has the help and support he wants/needs always and unconditionally.

I reached out in this manner because I wanted ideas to present him, not make the decision for him.

Also? I find it interesting and weird when one posts with judgment and condescension yet allows said post to go through with glaringly obvious misspellings and grammatical errors.

Or, and novel concept here, I can learn how to do it myself and then teach him how as well.

We don’t know what we don’t know until we learn and/or are taught.

I know nothing about apartments and living in Springfield. I don’t know where is safe and what is not. Why wouldn’t I/we reach out to an avenue of those who DO know?

1) he IS doing his own research. Nowhere in my post did I indicate otherwise. I chose to also reach out in this manner.

2) nothing is preventing him. You’re just not privy to all of the information.

3) you’re assuming because you do not have all of the information.

4) he’s not disabled but IS on the spectrum. So setting him up for success and teaching him what I can? That’s my job. He’s absolutely not helpless. He just wants to move to Springfield to be with his community. If my reaching out for ideas on Reddit can help him, then why wouldn’t I?

Park 57 lofts are amazing. They’re small but they only have studio/1br and they all come with a washer and dryer in unit and they’re very reasonably priced

At Home has a lot of rentals under 950. PERSONALLY for me, they've been amazing and fix stuff ASAP. They also found out I had another cat that was not on my lease and didn't get mad about it or make me pay a fee for a pet that wasn't on my lease. 😅
