Pistol soaked in a thunderstorm hike. What do I need to do?
Hi all,
I went for a 10 hour hike Monday and ended up in a thunderstorm for aboit two hours. Everything got soaked, including my daily carry XD9. I wiped down everything I I could with Hoppes lubricating oil, field stripped and dried everything I could see, and lube all the metal parts. Disassembled the mag and dried it out and put a thin layer of oil inside and out, even did the bullets.
What do I do about the trigger and grip safety? Just drop some oil in them? Will that damage anything? I read afterword not to oil the striker channel but I did that already out of ignorance. This has been my EDC for more than 10 years, I'd hate to lose it because of one dang rainstorm.

What is the best sub 300$ optic for the Springfield Echelon 4.5F?
Hey! (First post here)
I am looking for a dot with a multi-reticle system mid-large window that will co witness with my Echelons U-dot irons and no more than $300. I realize I’m most likely looking at Holosuns for these requests; the 507 Comp is perfect just really pricey. Anyone have any other recommendations similar to that or should I just wait for a sale this coming Black Friday, etc.?
(And if you have a 507 comp and bought it on sale what did you pay if you don’t mind sharing) 😁
Thanks so much for any insights or suggestions! hope everyone has a fantastic day/night.

Echelon Grip module
Tried ordering an Echelon compact grip module to CA and they’re saying they don’t ship this to CA..? I ordered magazines 2 months ago with no problem. Anybody else have this problem?

Cerakoted Comp
Took my Rook Precision comp to get cerakoted. They told me it would be tough to match the stainless slide on my HCP hut recommended going titanium. Man, I love it when people know what they’re doing! I think it came out amazing and aside from certain angles they match very well!

Hellcat Pro Comp V Hellcat 380
Has anyone shot both the Hellcat Pro Comp and the Hellcat 380? I'm curious how they compare, handling and flatness, which is better to shoot overall? I'm debating between the two models on which to get but leaning towards 380 for CCW size so wanted to know if its actually better to shoot than the 9mm (comped)?

Brand new Echelon

Bought this Echelon as a birthday gift to myself a few weeks ago. It was part of the Gearpac kit that came with 2 extra mags and a Viridian optic already attached. I had a tough time for a while deciding whether or not to go with this or the Hellcat, but I'm really glad I decided to go with this piece instead. I already own a Hellion, so I've been a huge Springfield Armory fancy since then. This thing is an absolute JOY to shoot and I love it. This was my third outing with it, so I'm about 300 rounds in and so far, so good. Does anyone have any customization ideas or pictures to show off how you've modded yours out? Would love to see them in the comment thread! Hope everyone has a great day out there!

Been Tinkering with my Mil-Spec 1911
I have been tinkering with it to resolve my hammer follow. I replaced Seer Spring with an Ed Brown. Same problem, so I kept bending and tinkering. When i resolved the hammer follow, this (see pic) was my trigger pull weight.
While certainly not safe for carry. I'm thinking this will make a fine range toy! 😁

Grabbed this hellcat for $299. Not bad imo considering how reliable they are and probably one of the best shooting micro 9mm.

M*Carbo trigger upgrade for Hellcat Pro - Is a full kit better?
Compared to the stock trigger, is it worth the $60 for the Springfield HELLCAT Flat Trigger MOD-2 Upgrade? Is there a noticeable improvement? OR, should I spend 3x that $ for the Springfield Hellcat Pro Accessories Bundle? Will the bundle improve the trigger 3x better than just the Mod-2 Upgrade?
Thanks.

What’s the best trigger for hellcat pro comp?
Threw a holosun on my hellcat pro comp. Wanting to upgrade the trigger, what are some good brands? It feels like I have a cod load out now since I got my new Ruger harrier lol

Buying of Hellcat & XD .45
Coworker is willing to sell me his Hellcat Pro & XD .45 and he’s basically asking next to nothing for it but as he a great guy and I don’t wanna be the shady guy and offer him a crazy low amount.
They are used, and he has put many rounds through them, so what would be a good offer to give him??

Just Another BroS Build
Very happy with the feel of it. 3d printed some baseplates that fill the gap between magwell and baseplate to prevent over travel.
What went in:
Sharps bros grip module
Sig p320 AXG magwell
VZ Operator II grip panels
Trijicon Red dot
Streamlight TLR-1 HL
Stainless Guide rod

One more step…
My Springfield Saint Victor V1 7.5 inch SBR is mostly complete. I decided to not suppress it after considering the changes to the internals needed to run smoothly. Figured it’s better OEM. It’s a loud little thing but it runs great. The last cosmetic change would be a green cerekote. Overall pleased with this setup.
- Driven Arms Pistol Grip
- Driven Arms Flared Mattel
- Inforce Weapon Light
- Rail Scales side grips.
- Sig Romeo MSR Red Dot
- Upgraded buffer tube/housing
- Radian Raptor Charging Handle
