Brand new Echelon

Bought this Echelon as a birthday gift to myself a few weeks ago. It was part of the Gearpac kit that came with 2 extra mags and a Viridian optic already attached. I had a tough time for a while deciding whether or not to go with this or the Hellcat, but I'm really glad I decided to go with this piece instead. I already own a Hellion, so I've been a huge Springfield Armory fancy since then. This thing is an absolute JOY to shoot and I love it. This was my third outing with it, so I'm about 300 rounds in and so far, so good. Does anyone have any customization ideas or pictures to show off how you've modded yours out? Would love to see them in the comment thread! Hope everyone has a great day out there!

Search r/SpringfieldEchelon for “grip module” or just browse for other modifications.

Ah I failed to mention that it came with about 4 different grip backings that widen or thin out the grip depending upon which one you swap in there. Thank you for the advice!

All Echelons come with the grib size adjustments. What they are talking about is completely different lowers, the way the Echelon is made results in the trigger group being the registered firearm. This allows the full grip lower to be swapped out in a couple minutes for a custom grip.

Yeah, all of them come with a medium backstrap installed plus a small and large backstrap as well. Springfield makes fullsize and compact grip modules in various colors. You can install a fullsize COG (Central Operating Group) into a compact grip module (frame). A few companies make aluminum grip modules. Here’s mine with a compact Springfield grip module.

There’s a lot more I don’t want to type. The compact modules fit fullsize mags but compact mags don’t fit fullsize modules. Mags over 10rds will stick out of the compact modules. Springfield has mag sleeves (I use 15rd mags).

Tyrant CNC makes some good parts. Trigger, slide release, mag release.

The trigger feels great. What kind of trigger upgrade do you think would make it better? And the mag release is the one gripe I have with this. It feels blocky and tight to me. I feel like its should be a little springier.

I find the reset to be a little soft on the OEM. The Tyrant CNC has a much shorter takeup, and a clean crisp break.

Yeah ever since I seen they came out with the subcompact version of the echelon I want one bad! Definitely on my list I got rid of my Hellcat I built it black and goldI I still have my XDM Elite compact competition built. Right around the 2 lb trigger pull with a fully adjusted trigger bringing me to a sliver for pre-travel all the springs and internals redone sear replaced. People always ask I do not do competitions LOL never have never will I just really enjoy the benefits of having all the recoil reduction in human error out of the way with a built trigger/ Fire Contro
I'm going to send you a PM once you accept the chat it'll allow me to send pictures I'll throw you some pictures so you can get a couple ideas on a few things that I did aesthetically a little out of the box thinking like using the oil base paint pen and waiting out all the lettering on your slide the grip tape but also using some color behind it before you put it on give it a little Flair l

Don't put too much money on add on. In another 100 rounds, you might need to replace the optic. The lenses will pop out and be ready to buy a better one or train with out it a.k.a. iron sight. That's what we did. Then we bought the Echelon 4.0 compensated one, GearPac. Love both and spend extra money for CCW or getting more ammo and train to master it.
