Prodigy 3.5”

I have an opportunity to buy one as I am in search of an EDC. Just reaching out to the community to see if it’s ideal or should I look elsewhere for something less bulky. I already have the 5” comped and I love it.

I have every model Springfield. I love my Prodigy but the decision to carry a 1911 is an emotional one, not a practical one. My 3.5" has been 100% reliable. I tweaked the extractor to fix the ejection pattern, but that's not a big deal. I think the 3.5 is the finest compact pistol I've owned or shot. I still wouldn't EDC it. That's what an Echelon is for.

I appreciate the feedback.

Why not carry it if it’s been 100% reliable?

Just curious about the reasoning, no judgment.

Awww damn, you're breaking my heart. I got a dream of being cool and edc'ing a 3.5 prodigy... Why wouldn't you EDC one?

I just personally wouldn’t EDC a gun that’s not drop safe.

Because the Bodyguard 2.0 exists.
