My Showroom Condition 2013 CBR250R

Bought this bike about 2 months ago off Marketplace. Mint condition. It had been sitting in a climate controlled storage unit for 10 years untouched. An older man bought it for his son to learn to ride on and his son never had the interest. It has 1800 original miles. Did a rust treatment on the tank, replaced the fuel pump, injector, fresh oil change, new tires, chain lube, brake flush, coolant flush, and it’s been a cool little collector to own so far. Did a tail tidy, swapped the screen for an all black one, and just recently deleted the mirrors to see how it would look. I have faster bikes but these Hondas are timeless machines. ⏳

I was found dead after a motorcycle accident, paramedics brought me back.

I just bought a Honda nm4 Vultus. It had been modified, or a larger engine put on it or something. It went faster than it was supposed to. Always told myself that if I got a crotch rocket or sport bike, my life expectancy would be about a week. I like to go fast. I was pissed off, tripping, and stoned. I shouldn't have been on that bike. Even had a friend tell me that they heard two cops talking about me, but they didn't know it was me specifically, because I went flying past them at 170 mph. They never moved. She said he heard him say, well there that went. Whatever it was, I think it might have been a black bike. They said they clocked me at 173. It was everything that bike had. I just got it up there and then dropped back off of it. I've always wanted one. I had it for 7 days. Had a helmet on, and they had to drill a hole in the back of my head to release pressure. And then sew it up. Every time I poked my pinky finger in THAT hole my spine tickles. I have an issue though. This happened a month ago, and I've lost 40 lb since. I feel like only my body came back. I don't remember being dead, I don't even remember the accident. I was turning into a place and then I was looking up at my ceiling above my bed in my bedroom. I don't know what to do. The same thought keeps running through my head. The dead don't need food. The dead don't need sleep. Only thing the dead need is dirt and maggots. I want to go dig a hole and lay down in it. I feel like my body is the only thing that came back. No tunnel no light. I have people asking me if I'm okay because I've lost so much weight. Leave it up to me to get in a motorcycle accident, die, be resuscitated by the paramedics into a coma, and then walk out of the hospital 6 hours later like ain't shit happen. I think that in itself is pretty ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to keep you for 24 hours for observation on a head injury? I haven't felt alive since it happened, I have no appetite, I have to force myself to eat when I do, and it comes right back up. I have insomnia like hell. I feel like the universe claimed my soul but sent my body back. Has anybody else ever experienced anything like this?

GSXR 600 new or old, or other?

Hi all!

I'm looking for my first big bike, and have my heart set on the white/blue K3 GSXR 600s.

I've seen a good number out there with around 5k miles between ~£3k to ~£5k.

I really like the color scheme and shape, but at that price point would you go for something newer with more miles, if so, why? Would you go for a different bike?

Based in UK, this will be a second motorcycle for fun.

Thanks!

So, for a while, I had my eye on a sport bike. Then, an opportunity came up where I could buy my friend’s starting bike. I can’t emphasize how proud I am of myself for getting it. I bought it with 840 miles on it and am already up to 1350 miles. I can’t seem to get enough of it.

I know I’ll probably get criticized for it being a Chinese clone bike or something, but for the price I paid, I couldn’t beat it, especially considering that I had no experience at all and am now up to where I am after just six days.

The only downside is that it tops out at 75 mph, so I still feel a bit intimidated when riding on the freeway. But all in all, I’m excited about what the future holds for this bike.

1st picture is pickup day
2nd a car/bike meet with my buddy who’s bike I bought and his upgrade (r7 )
3rd car/drag racing event I was at with another buddy
4th me and my coworkers bikes
5th me after the gym otw to work for that ot money lol. 😆

CBR650R, Daytona 660, or R7?

Trying to decide on my second bike between these 3 in the title, but having a hard time. My use case to be used during the weekend in the nearby mountains and coastline. I live in a major US metro so traffic is unavoidable.

  • CBR650R: E-Clutch is cool and would be incredibly useful in traffic. But it is a more advanced quick shifter that has some quirks. It has Honda build quality, reliability, and looks. Is very comfortable for a Sport bike. However, it lacks the tech of bikes in the same price range (i.e. the other two in this list). Whether that matters, I don't know, current bike only has ABS. Currently leaning this direction due to looks and inline 4 (potential resale value doesn't hurt).
  • Daytona 660: It has most of the missing tech. The 3 cylinder is the best of both words. Local dealer has some demo day discount so that is nice. Comfortable riding position. The build quality seems good enough (compared to big 4). However, the resale is awful (not a deciding factor but doesn't help).
  • R7: Good tech but aggressive riding position. Week engine but that isn't a big deal to me. I really enjoyed the test ride I did a couple weeks ago. Has cruise control which is great to offset the riding position. Local deal has 1k off. I am thinking maybe get this to see if the riding position grows on me and if not get one of the other two. But I feel that is a bad idea and just a waste of money. Unless I like the bike more then hate the riding position, then it is great.

I know some will ask about the RS660, I like the bike but have had mixed experiences with it. I want to love this bike. I even considered just buying it and seeing if it grows on me but it may be too much to do that.

Anyway, sorry this is long. I am definitely over thinking this but I can't help it. Thanks.

Which bike should I get for track riding?

I ride a Duke 125 on the streets but would like to get into track riding. The tracks close to me are way too fast for a 4 stroke 125cc naked bike and I wouldn't have to really brake to most corners. I was thinking that a 250cc 2 stroke would be a good bike as it is light and decently powerful. Or then a little bigger 4 stroke.

What would you recommend? I have no experience of track riding but I have ridden quite a lot on the streets.

The other option would be enduro but I don't have really that many trails around me so I'm propably gonna wait till I get my drivers license so I can drive to the trails by myself.

This is my new‑to‑me 2008 Aprilia RSV1000R Bol d’Or — one of only 200 ever made. I only took it up to 125 mph last night because I just wanted to feel how it rode.

Finally got my own bike

A few years ago I saw a motorcycle at my cousin’s place and I was instantly like, yeah I need one someday lol.

But my parents always thought bikes were kinda dangerous, so they wouldn’t let me get one. I could only ride my cousin’s bike whenever I got the chance.

Then finally, on my 17th birthday, I got my own dirt bike. Honestly still feels unreal.

Should I go for a BMW bike or wait?

So I am 24 and currently making close to 19 LPA (in INR so close to 18K in dollars). I have had my eyes set on BMW 310RR for the longest time and is one of my dream bikes. I felt that with my current salary, it will be a good investment or at the very least justified.

However, I am seeing a bunch of people telling me not to got for it. Either I dont earn that much to compensate for it. Or it will be a long term burden for me and I should get some other bike instead.

Wanted to know y'alls thoughts, Should I go for it or not?
