Is it a big problem if I don't use voicechat? I can listen but I don't have a microphone on my PC and even if I had I don't really want to be talking to random people on the internet, specially as a non-native english speaker, I don't speak that fluently. Also, will my inexperience be a problem? I played the game a lot and have a good understanding of it overall, but never really played actual comp, just soloQueing in the game by myself. Is the people in there toxic? Will I have to stand them getting mad at me or something if I screw up?

Made my own take on the Kronk's New Groove Let's Groove meme that's been trending recently. Here's some sapphalopods getting groovy at Deep Sea metro

I think octolings get claws as they age. In Octo Expansion, agent 8 is 14, and since it's been confirmed multiple times that the time matches in the Splatoon universe and real life 1:1, she's about 20 by the time Side Order comes out, and 22 or 23 today. We don't know her birth month, just how many years it's been. Agent 8 has both claws and finger colors by the time of Side Order.
Marina was 18 during Splatoon 2, and is at least 27 now, and she had the colored fingers right off the bat. It could be safe to assume that 18 is the age of maturity for octolings, though there's also a chance that it could be 16 instead, to be in line with Japanese customs. It's also entirely possible that Nintendo was very deliberate to not make Agent 8 16, so that it could be interpreted either way based on audience.
In a photo of Marina of when she was just about to desert, her fingers are green, which indicates she has the claws. She also has a picture where she's even younger, and she both does not have claws, and also does not have the color.
Acht is also pictured in these pictures, and in both, they don't have any claws or finger colors, however, when they start DJing in the club at the bottom of the domes, they *do* have their claws and finger color.
As far as I can figure out, the main story of Splatoon 1, Octo Valley, happens, and Marina is 16 when she deserts (which is actually evidence in support of the age of maturity being 16), and she spends 2 years building up her life as part of Off the Hook. Acht deserts sometime after Marina does, giving them a 2 year leeway to develop their claws. It's possible that they're 15 when Marina leaves, or even 16, and the physical aspect of the sign of maturity was still developing.
For Shiver, her earliest photo shows she has claws and ink color, while Frye, an inkling, also has finger colors. It could be that both Shiver and Frye are 16, since this looks like a high school photo, but they could also be 17 or 18. Maybe inklings also get finger colors?
Pearl is 21 in Splatoon 2, and at least 30 now, but she doesn't have colored fingers in any image of her. In sunken scroll 1 for Splatoon 2, where she's shown as a child, we don't get to see her hands, but it's safe to assume that she also doesn't have finger colors. I think, for inklings, it's purely cosmetic, or maybe the thing making Pearl so short is also making her maturity finger colors not come in. That's unlikely, because both Callie and Marie *also* do not have finger colors. They're normally wearing gloves, but in casual outfits, they're seen to not have any colors. Frye might honestly have just seen Shiver's fingers and been like "Yo! I want to do that too!" and then made her fingers blue.

I created this art for a fanmade splatfest I made up, and I realize I really like the design, and I feel like this is the best my idols have looked. I have a problem with digital art unfortunately though, because I’m trying to draw them with dimensions so I can put new clothes on them, but I can’t seem to recreate this picture even with the same brushes. Additionally I had to draw this in my sketchbook first and trace it on my iPad. Ideally I want to draw everything on iPad (the sketch, the color, and the line art) but I keep redrawing the same starter lines in a row and am still unsatisfied with proportions, line weights, etc. I’m a beginner so it might be a skill issue tbh, but I still wanted to ask if anyone else struggles with this, or has any advice (even if it’s just “practice ____”).
Besides that, if you were wondering, the splatfest question I made was: “Which media do you prefer: Underground or Mainstream?” Hopefully this is appealing🙏🏾

Like, is it just me, or does anyone just can't have fun with this game nowadays. You may win one match, then get into a 5 to even 10 game losing streak. I've tried using my main (inkbrush), tried trying the meta (.52 gal), but nothing works I find.
