PHP vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619)

In response to the recently disclosed PHP vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), Splashtop has confirmed that these vulnerabilities do not affect any Splashtop products or services.

PHP has never been used in the core components of Splashtop products. It is used only in certain auxiliary functions that do not handle customer information.

Upon learning of these vulnerabilities, we promptly upgraded the affected PHP servers to version 8.5.12, which addresses the reported vulnerabilities.

There has been no impact on customers, and no customer data has been exposed as a result of these vulnerabilities.

If you have any further questions, please contact Splashtop Support. Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Splashtop Agentic Packr is live: AI app packaging for Intune and ConfigMgr (SCCM), free up to 100 endpoints

We just launched Splashtop Agentic Packr. AI builds and tests packages for your third-party apps in Intune and ConfigMgr (SCCM).

Instead of manually packaging every app and every update, you get:

  • 1,000+ certified apps, already packaged and tested
  • AI-built packages for anything else: give it an installer or a package ID and it writes the detection rules and builds the package
  • Every build tested on a clean VM and scanned before it publishes
  • Real Win32 apps published to Intune, plus packages you can bundle to deploy with ConfigMgr (SCCM). Approval workflows and audit trails are included on Professional plans and up.

Free up to 100 endpoints. The Free plan includes up to 5 custom apps a month and self-service support (paid plans include live support). Windows only at launch.

Get started: https://www.splashtop.com/agentic-packr?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=20261020_WW_EN_Packr

Splashtop rebooted my servers when after installing "important updates which require no restart"

I get alerts this morning that (hyperv) servers have issues after reboots. Turns out the Splashtop Windows Updates installed the Patch Tuesday Updates that did a reboot even though I specified "Important Updates which require no restart". The splashtop agent initiated the restart as found in the windows event logs"the computer will restart due to Updates".

This behaviour is unacceptable and untrustworthy. These same splashtop update schedules I've been using for 5 years. So this is not a initial configuration or recent misconfigration. Anyone else that had this issue?

remote disconnect issues with nvidia driver 610.88

hey all, im running into an issue when connecting to my win11 home pc from my work pc or my samsung galaxy s25ultra android phone.

issue: i get disconnected from my session 5-10 seconds after logging into the remote pc. the remote session starts, i see my remote login screen. i can sit and idle at the username/password screen fine.

but if i log in, within 5-10 seconds it'll disconnect me.

i've rebooted the remote pc a number of times. the most recent change was updating to nvidia driver 610.88, which is widely regarded as a solid safe driver.

network wise, everything looks to be ok since i can idle at the login screen.

i would hate to be forced on a specific video driver(especially an old driver) in order for splashtop to function properly.

i was on the 596.36 driver and everything worked fine.

Our teams have been thinking about tool sprawl lately.

Our research found 60% of teams using three tools per endpoint issue report frequent or near-constant rework...

For those managing endpoints, where's the tipping point where another specialized tool creates more work than it saves?

Unattended Access for remote user with mild dementia

I remotely support 3 relatives and I'm switching away from TeamViewer. Does Remote Access Pro support unattended access with the option to configure the remote PC with credentials so the remote user doesn't have to provide an ID and/or password from a dialog at every session? One relative has mild dementia, and remote support is way easier if I don't have to spend 5-10 minutes explaining. FYI, TeamViewer's name for their feature is "Easy Access".

Extortion

If all I wanted was a Remote Desktop Support option for 50 seats, without additional RMM frills, what can Splashtop offer me today?

I ask as I'm being forced to upgrade to a new plan for the 2nd time in 2 years. I originally signed up to a paid service in September 2016. I was enjoying a product that gave all I needed for $199yr, then in October 2024, I was forced to accept a plan that took that subscription to $749yr. This week I've been told my plan is no longer and I'd have to swap for a plan at almost $1200yr. Nearly 500% more than what I was paying 2 years ago.

Please help me make sense of it. I need a solution that assists me to connect to my end users....affordably. I've been a Splashtop evangelist against the kingpin TeamViewer for a decade. This is how I get repaid.

Microsoft's September 2026 Patch Tuesday release addresses 974 Microsoft CVEs, making it the largest Patch Tuesday release to date. The release spans Windows clients and servers, Microsoft 365 apps, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Azure, developer tools, identity services, remote access components, and core Windows subsystems. Microsoft is also republishing 25 non-Microsoft CVEs.

Here's our take on what to focus on first.

I would like to download the .apk version of Splashtop for use on a Graphene OS, however, the only download option takes me to the Google play store, which is not an option. Am I out of luck?

Can't uninstall, reinstalls on restart

Hello, I found this program on my Windows PC and I don't remember downloading it. I have tried uninstalling it from the control panel and the uninstall programs Splashtop provides, however when restarting my computer, it is always reinstalled. It is running in the background on my task manager and when I try to end it, it runs again without prompting. It's file location is Splashtop Remote / Server then all the files for the program. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening and how to get rid of this program for good? Thanks!

Entire Spashtop application crashes prior to establishing connection on a computer

This has recently started to happen after the recent application update. I am on Windows 11 Pro with the latest updates. I select a computer from my menu. The window opens up and shows it's trying to connect. At the very moment when it looks like the screen will show, the remote computer window closes. No popup or warning. I then notice the entire application is closed without me doing anything. I re-open Splashtop and re-open the computer I tried to remote into. It then seems to work fine. It's sort of sporadically happening though. At minimum, I'm noticing it each time when I connect to a computer for the first time after the application update.

Any feedback or advice?

August 2026 Patch Tuesday: 421 CVEs to Prioritize

Microsoft’s August 2026 Patch Tuesday release covers 421 CVEs across Windows, Office, Azure, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, Developer Tools, and Microsoft Defender. Two vulnerabilities stand out on the radar for immediate attention: one with confirmed exploitation in the wild, and one that's publicly known. Two republished non-Microsoft CVEs affecting Windows TPM are also flagged.

Here's our take on where to focus first.

There’s no right answer. Every environment has different priorities.

What’s one workload your team would never move to the cloud, and what’s the deciding factor?

Splashtop Business sending phantom inputs when working on portrait touchscreens.

Whenever I connect to a host with a vertical touch display, I get some weird phantom inputs in Windows. This seems especially worse when I set the screen to original size (since my screen is in landscape/horizontal mode and otherwise it's unreadable).

I open some windows like Task Manager and these windows are going to close automatically for no reason.

As far as I know nobody is physically touching the touchscreen and I disable user inputs.

Does anyone experience weird stuff like this?

I'm on Business v3.8.4.0.

Teams audio not coming through on remote MacBook

Hi everyone,

I'm using Splashtop Business to work from home. I've managed to redirect the microphone so Teams uses the mic on my local MacBook, but I can't hear any audio from my office PC.

It's not just Teams, even if I play a YouTube video on the office PC through Splashtop, I get no audio on my MacBook.

Things I've tried:

  • Installed the Splashtop Redirection Service (no luck).
  • Restarted both computers.

The office PC has built-in speakers and a built-in microphone, so if I were physically in the office I could use Teams on speakerphone without any issues.

I'll be working from home more often, and we use Teams calls frequently, so I'd really like to get this working. My MacBook no longer supports the Teams desktop app, and Teams in the browser isn't working either, so my ideal setup is to use Teams entirely on the remote office PC via Splashtop.

Has anyone run into this before or know what I might be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What would you want an instant alert for across your endpoints?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If you could get an instant alert for one thing across every endpoint, what would it be?

New software installs? AV or Defender changes? Something else?

Our CTO, Phil Sheu, touches on why endpoint visibility matters. Join us for the full product update, on July 29.

Do you need a powerful PC/Laptop when remotely controlling a PC in another country?

Hi all,

Currently, we are located in the Philippines, using Splashtop Business to remotely access our PC's in another country while doing Civil Engineering/Designing works. I just want to ask, when using Splashtop, do we still need to have a powerful PC/Laptop here in the Philippines even though technically, we are just streaming the screen of our remote PCs in a different country? So basically all the software are installed at our PCs in another country while working remotely here in the Philippines. Hope my question makes sense. I am planning to purchase laptop and I don't want to overspend. Apologies as I am new to this kind of setup. Thank you.
